Beckham's mid-field goal

Suarez Bite

Gerrard Slip

Cantona's kung-fu fighting fan

Rooney's goal

Liverpool goal off balloon

plus I remember, but don't have names remembered:

- henry and pires? stupid pk/pass

- arsenal player- keown? going after ruud vn. I remember a season or two where they'd all go after him... iirc, during the invincibles.

I have two questions for Chelsea fans:

1) Are there any rules on how many players teams in the EPL are allowed to keep on the books and then loan out or can Chelsea do this as much as they want?

2) I am assuming the contract these players sign (like say Miazga) are for significantly higher salary terms than the team they loan the player to is willing to pay.  Does Chelsea as the loaning club absorb some/most of the salary these players are owed and the team they are loaned to picks up the rest?
I don't think there is any limit to the number of players a club can have under contract. It's possible, but I've never heard that mentioned. In recent years I've seen some Italian clubs with 70+ kids on loan.

The contractual arrangements for these loans seem to be very complex at times, and not much is disclosed. I think it's all over the map. Presumably, in most cases one would expect Chelsea to be paying some or all of the salary, but that's not always the case. One example is Juan Cuadrado, for whom Chelsea just this week booked the transfer revenue from Juve. He's been playing in Italy for years under a complex loan to buy arrangement that is probably designed to address FFP, tax, risk and other concerns of both clubs.

I am hoping to do most of this.  During the 7-10 power nap I will be going to the Revs game, which seems awfully appropriate :)

I think the Atlanta game is at 5:30 today.

The complexity of Italian/Serie A defensive tactics is amazing when you see it broken down.  It was Allegri's shift (in late Dec) to a back four that completely turned Juve's season around (they were only 1 pt ahead). It enabled them to utilize all their attacking talent, whilst maintaining a fluid interchange between MF & CB's (as far as defensive coverage & counterattacking delegation).  It was when Allegri really put his stamp on this team, bypassing Conte's 3-5-2, & really allowing Juve to adapt to a style of play more conducive to success in Europe/UCL "; less predictable & more offensive, all the while maintaining their trademark defensive cohesiveness.

NEWS Eden Hazard will be out for about 2-3 months with a broken ankle, according to my colleague @niels_27. #cfc

Can't imagine that he passes a physical this summer...should be fine as soon as the Transfer window shuts in September...

Would you believe he was training for a stupid summer friendly with french teenage whores?

No? -

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has fractured his right ankle while on international duty with Belgium.

The Belgian FA confirmed on Sunday night that their captain sustained the injury in training.

Hazard is expected to be sidelined for between six to eight weeks.

It had been announced earlier in the day that the Chelsea star would miss the forthcoming matches against the Czech Republic and Estonia with what was then considered a twisted ankle, only for scans to reveal to true extent of the damage.

6-8 weeks is better than the initial estimation - he could still pass a physical in August...besides, since when did Madrid really care about physicals?

Six here too.  I can picture both the Gerrard and Shearer celebrations but can't pull the goals.

The Arsenal player with the broken leg was Eduardo.

The guy doing blow on the sideline was Robbie Fowler

BREAKING: We've suspended betting on Virgil Van Dijk joini
per BBC: Liverpool still have to reach an agreement with Southampton - and a demand for a fee well in excess of £50m could mean negotiations will be complicated before any deal nears a conclusion.

Seems they have a deal with Van Dijk, and now have to hammer out a deal with Soton

Might even get done this week, wow..Ian Ayre really did suck.

I'll look at it this way- Matip and Van Dijk for 60m seems like a decent deal ;)

Everything went well with my ankle operation, now I start the road to recovery! I will be stronger. Thank you for your support!!

Well that was quick...

:lmao:

seen on RAWK (Discussing Van Dijk for £60M and £200k/week on wages):

That's nearly 200 million spent on Southampton players in the last 3 years. We honestly could've bought their whole club for that.

Trying not to get too excited.....

My 3-years of transfer window watching tells me that Salah and VVD are done deals with just the paperwork to conclude.  That being said, nothing is done until it's done....

So anyway, I'll just enjoy the hockey, wish I could enjoy the NBA, and wait until I see the lean before I make way-too-optimistic predictions about what these signings mean for Liverpool.

You know Solanke is done because his Wikipedia page says he's a Liverpool player.

Scored another game winner for the U20s yesterday.
