Not great but sounds like it could have been worse.

Manchester City can confirm Kevin De Bruyne has suffered a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) lesion in his right knee.

No surgery is required, and the midfielder is expected to be out for around three months.

And his distribution hasn't ever been very good. Today had an awful pass that led directly to a goal shortly after.

1. Cardiff City:  Seems like a no brainer.  They rode a hot streak form after the New Year to finish 2nd in the Championship.  The other two promoted teams have spent a lot more than the Bluebirds.  Colin %^&*@! has been in the top flight before and never stayed up.  I love throwback direct football but I don't think Cardiff has the talent to make it work.  Warnock gets sacked by Christmas and one of the usual suspects (Big Sam, Pardew, etc.) gets brought in to finish the season.

2.  Watford:  They surprisingly didn't spend their Richarlison windfall and were less active than in previous summers.  They were in 10th on Boxing Day but only got 16 points after that.  I don't see where the goals are going to come from.

3.  Brighton & Hove Albion:  I like the club and Hughton but I'm taking a pure guess here.  They spent a lot of money reinforcing the squad but somebody has to go down.

Where does Manchester United fit?

 
This PL season has the potential to be even worse than last years.  Not only is City good enough to win the league by December again, but the top 4 might be wrapped up by then as well

 
But for reals, Everton looks like they could be a tough team this year.  They made some really good moves and Richarlson is looking legit.

In all competitions, the last time Manchester United won by five goals or more was on the 28th August 2011. Since then, Manchester City have done it TWENTY-ONE times. 

In all competitions, the last time Manchester Utd won by five or more goals was on the 27th November 2013. Since then, Manchester City have done it EIGHTEEN times
