I think I figured out the thing with the kid... they are going to drag it out until he is the new IRA leader, right?

Have not seen this week's episode yest but is it just me or is the storyline of Gemma (Katey Sagal) a little over the top at this point? I understand that she loooooves her grandbaby but come on man. She goes back to Charming and turns herself in and then passes out due to a heart condition after she received the phone call from Belfast? I think her obsession with her grandson is a bit much and for some reason it is getting under my skin this season. I feel like she is almost being featured now and while she is a good actress, the storylines were better when she was taking a more supporting role (IMO). SOA is about dudes. Dudes on motorcycles. Dudes on motorcycles with guns. Dudes on motorcycles with guns and bitc#es. Let's get back to what made the show good and not whining about this little kid all the time. Kids are just a pain in the ### and a drain on finances anyway.

Maybe I am just too cynical.

A nice little twist I didn't see coming at first. Kind of getting bored with the Jax - Tara storyline.
Something is off about this season. It was a great two years. Hope they get back to good storylines. All I know is that if my kid was in Belfast and I knew he was there, I would be on the next plane out. Not picking new prospects and banging some hot slut

Kinda feel like this show might go down the Rescue Me road, where you take some interesting characters who are in compelling situations, but you get away from just the day-to-day interesting stuff (new Prospects, making deals, etc.) because they're trying to continuously escalate the drama.

Meh, maybe it's just an off year.

Well, it's not like they could walk up to the ticket counter and buy X tickets to Belfast since they are out on bail from the church shooting of last season and probabaly on a bunch of no-fly lists. And they are flying on the cargo plane...Oh, and don't worry, Jax and Tara will get back together. This break-up is Jax's way of keeping Tara out of trouble. And Gemma will make sure they stay together, since she know Tara's secret.

I don't think I have ever seen a nicer opening shot on any tv show in the history of tv shows than I did on tonight's episode.

Yeah.....It's gotten a little too soap operaish ....

:meh: hoping this sets up an epic 90 minute episode next week
Looks like the whole season so far has been a set up for this 90 minute episode next week. I have high hopes for it.
As long as the kid story arc is finished I don't really ####### care. This whole thing is just tiresome.
I predict Tarra is going to get attacked by the two that were scoping her out, outside off Jax's house.
Easy buddy, come on back off the ledge there with that wild talk.

These Belfast accents are pissing me off....I went to Belfast this summer and couldn't understand a word that anyone said while I was there...made-for-TV accents just feel so contrived.

I know it's a stupid thing to harp on, but it's just gets to me.

I always turn the closed captioning on when they start micing things up.

I was really expecting some fireworks tonight...this one was a letdown for me.

I know they're building the plot and all that, but this season has been kinda :2cents: for me....

I'm still watching, but mostly because its one of the few shows my wife and I agree on. But this season is terrible compared to last season. Last year, I wanted them to get their revenge on the WS guys and they mostly did. This season, I don't really care if they find the kid, mostly because any Dad that would slow down in the hunt to party with his buddies, fight, and sleep with porn stars may not have his fatherly priorities in place.

That's what I was thinking, too....I understand there's some protocol as to how they're going to find the kid, but hell, if I'm in Belfast, I'm not going to be hanging out and partying if I know that the kid is around somewhere.

Curious.... what should he do? Start knocking on doors randomly in Belfast.... 'Excuse me, do you have a stolen American infant in here?' When they were in Charming, it was not like they could just hop on the next Delta flight to Ireland and when they got there, they are reliant on the Priest to get any intel to act on. There was even a conversation saying that the Priest would come to them when they got to SAMCB. I have been let down so far by this season but I am not really too sure what you expect Jax to do.

Finally caught up after DISH Network nuked F/X for a month. I thought the most recent episode was great...Jax is totally trapped and it's pretty clear why Abel wasn't returned now. Both sides are sick and twisted and using a baby to get a bad ### father to do their dirty work. The kidnapping of Tara is pretty disappointing. Seems tired and forced. But the revelation that her supervisor has a history is pretty interesting and makes her scenes seem more believable. I didn't see that coming.

Just too much going on, I know they will wrap it up in a big finale but it's starting to drag, it was a good episode but cmon already.

I agree with this. Having the main crew in Belfast and then spending a good amount of time on storylines with the B Team back in Charming made everything feel really disjointed. Get 'em back together.

Said it earlier, this kid thing is ruining this season. Needed to wrap it up about 4 episodes ago and bury it. Now they got SAMCRO fighting the Brits. Sure, be a piece of cake to get off the island now and you know there is a showdown coming so even more #### is going to get blown up before they even try to leave.

Really, really liked the supervisor bomb at the end. Absolutely didn't see it coming, hope it turns into something interesting.

Yea, the administrator with the ink was  As for the season.... it is certainly the least of the three so far but I have hope (maybe even faith) that they are going to start tying everything back and make it worthwhile.

I have no idea, I just know that I would be far too nervy/jittery to get drunk and party.

Maybe... I can also see a whole lot of people who would 'deal' with it by doing exactly that on hyperdrive.

What was her ink?
Didn't specify an MC by name, but she must have been someone's old lady. Explains why she's helped Tara so much.
I'm wondering if that's something they came up with on the fly. If she did have that background all along why would she have reacted the way she initially did?
Add the fact that she was scared senseless of the MC and got smacked around last season. I think it's a new twistThis show is slowly sliding down my DVR priorirty list. Was a great run

I think they'd spent too much time with that character to not have had something in store for her.

I think the story line of her seeing the good Tara could do as a doctor despite her association with Jax was good enough.
