Just started watching this show a few weeks ago. I'll admit the season 3 promo got me interested and I noticed it was on late one night so I stayed up until 3-4am watching random episodes from season 2.

I put season 1 on my netflix queue and am looking forward to watching this all the way through

Isn't tonight the beginning of season 2? I'm DVRing it even though I never saw season 1.

Yep you're right. I read the episode guide wrong on wiki. Thanks

Whoa! Great show last night. SAMCRO vs NeoNazis ought to be one for the books.

lmao @ Gemma: "Either join in or get out, Sparky!"

Actually a pissed off gemma is more scary than clay and/or jax....she's the real power behind the throne. Also I'm betting she was the main one behind john tiller's death.Poor opie is gonna be all f'ed up in the head when he finds out the truth...not sure what jax was thinkingBTW for those of you who don't know kurt sutter(the show's creator, head writer, and executive producer) and katy segal are married so when her character getting gang raped came up that must've been one awkward time in their household

unless he was the guy(s) in the mask.

Great show, the stuff at the end made me sick though. As others have said, I expect some serious retaliation. Very interesting in that there was very little build up or foreshadowing toward the assault.

Actually, did you miss when Henry Rollins character says 'Sorry Ma'am' as they were leaving? Right there, I knew something was going to happen with/to her and the racists. Obviously not knowing exactly what that was going to be. What an interesting new twist or new villain to throw out there. I mean, war with the Mayans continues to seem to be just about to happen and then pulls back... it is brilliant to keep that tension there without letting it flair up, meanwhile bringing in the white supremacist group to battle with. I think that will help give SoA a longer shelf life.

That was a pretty good episode...

Are they on bad terms with the Mayans? Cause I can't imagine that murdering an innocent guy will help their case....

SAM CROW and Mayans are mortal enemies. In the real world it would be like Hells Angels vs Mongols. Or if you prefer Hells Angels vs Pagans..... or Hells Angels vs Outlaws. Really, it depends on what part of the country you live in but since SAM CROW is in Nor Cal, then I guess Hells Angels vs Mongols fits the best.

I don't know if it was brought up prior....but Kurt Sutter is actually Otto the SAMCRO member who was in jail who bashed the DEA chicks face.

Fantastic episode. That is the way to kick off a season.

I think Jax is holding back info from Opie because a war within SAMCRO would be the end of the club. He has to find a way to 'get' Clay and keep the club. Not easy at all. A 5-year plan moreso than a 5-day plan.

The casting of Henry Rollins was great. I am sure most are familiar with Henry, but it is funny him playing this part. When he sang with Black Flag he left the band because he used to say he would be up there singing, and look in the audience and see these skinheads singing his songs and he used to get into fights with them all the time. He agreed to leave the band because it was difficult to co-exist when you are fighting some of your fan base.

I could see that, the problem for me is that I think it's more likely that opie finds out the truth than it is that jax will be able to find absolute proof and deal with clay before opie finds out. Hell he almost found out in the season 2 premiere.

Wow Kurt Sutter was one of the driving forces behind the Shield and played the guy who liked feet. No wonder all the Shield actors keep showing up now they don't have the Unit to show up on. Great show and Henry will help boil this season to an even higher degree.

Great show. Didn't Gemma recognize the tattoo on the neck of one of the guys raping her? If it was mentioned here I missed it.

I don't think Jax should be allowed to wear clothes ever. He is smokin... :goodposting:

Well, she definitely noticed it and likely remembered who had that mark.

Well, the previews show Opie saying to Clay 'Whatever is going on with you and Jax, I got your back.' So, I think the storyline will go that even as Jax has been trying to protect Opie and eventually take care of Clay that Opie will run to Clay rather than Jax in the conflict (whatever shape that conflict takes).

Anyone think that Clay could actually be Jax's father? I don't remember what it was that Gemma said last season that made me think it was possible.

Finally saw the first episode Friday night and all I can say is WOW.

Now anyone think that Jax, Lady ATF Agent and Good Cop somehow team up to take down the Neo-Nazis?

I am not sure why the ATF would be interested in the Nazi's unless their 'Tobacco' store is not on the up and up. The previews make it look like SAM CROW goes to war against these guys.

They are. But Jax blowing off the "A" that Opie cut into the dead Mayan was an attempt to cover their tracks.BTW, the preview after last Tuesday's episode was a preview of the forthcoming season, not just the next episode. I believe that Gemma initially hides what happened from the club.

 Yes, they did give a preview of the forthcoming season but they also did of the next episode. There was a quick shot of Clay coming to see her at the hospital and her getting mad at the old head cop for letting him know. I am not sure how she is going to 'lie' about it from there.

Hehe, no I noticed that but usually that can take an episode or five to build up, and I really didn't expect a gang rape, so it was a pretty sudden twist to get things running.

Well, yea, I admit that I was not expecting it to take place in the first episode as well. I was not sure where they were going to take that but it was an unmistakable foreshadowing of some part of the future storyline.

They have. I watched the last three episodes this past weekend.
+1As did I. REALLY looking forward to the coming season. Jax & Clay look to be going H2H, and there were signs of division in the club even though Clay trusted Jax almost completely in his choices.
Yup, and what adds to the intensity is the fact that Jax's Mom is Clay's squeeze. She was ok with Clay offing her husband. Would she be if Jax became a problem? I know it won't happen but it could be a plot line, and where would she stand in that scenario?
Kill a woman's husband, you can always take his place. There's no way to replace a son.

Decent episode. I'm just confused how raping her and her telling would split up the club.

Also, I think the club is going to see that Clay is the one "screwing up" and not Jax.

I thought that was a great episode. Probably my favorite yet. This show has got off to a great start.

Because the club would lash out...it would get sloppy. Both episodes this year are pointing to the White Power group as being very big. All the cigar guy is looking for is an excuse to legitimately take down SAMCRO.

Unless she's got a brand new baby she's taking care of

 How does a baby who's already been born replace someone who dies?

There are two things I hate in movies / TV shows.

1. Child abuse

2. Rape

Both of these things turn me off from whatever show I'm watching. Same thing happened while watching The Soprano's after Tony's therapist was raped. Took me a while to get back into the show. I hope they don't linger on this too long cause I'm really enjoying this show.

I'm pretty much game for anything else... Zombies.

I can almost guarantee you that the Gemma/rape arc is going to last the entire season.

As long as they don't flash back on it.
