I had no rooting interest in this game. Was just hoping for a good, exciting game--and frankly--I feel like this was one of the dullest Superbowls that I can remember. The commercials were pretty weak with the exception of one or two. The game was a sleeper. The halftime show was meh at best. Honestly---I think the best part of this Super Bowl when Lady Gaga performed the national anthem.
If you like defense it was a great game.
I like defensive games--but I like seeing good defenses go up against energetic and inspired offenses. Carolina's offense--and Cam specifically looked disinterested and uninspired. Peyton looked like he was interested--but was limited by his physical capabilities. In my opinion---it really ended up being a dull Super bowl
When you on your ### most of the night....you tend to look disinterested, beat up..and not wanting to dive into a pile to recover your own fumble.

How did any of these announcers think that Peyton was going to make that announcement tonight? He's always been about his team and crediting his teammates. No way in hell he was ever going to steal the thunder from his team on the night they win the championship.

For all the Denver fans who wanted to put an asterisk on the Patriots Superbowl win last year for Deflategate:

Denver Superbowl *

* HGHgate

My take on this whole SB

Terrible offensive side on both Payton and Cam, even worse was the half time show (horrible) and most of the commercials. Best thing was Denver defense. Not a Payton or Cam hater but these two just plain sucked tonight, made for a dull SB. Retire Payton.

Reminded me of the 9-6 lsu v bama game a few years back. Just as much bad offense as good defense

I like Peyton but he never gives you anything real and he's gotten worse this year with his bs.
I don't understand this post.

Humility and being humble and having the utmost respect for the game is not real?

What do you want him to do? Pump his chest like these new kids do after making a first down?

What do you want?

Not all QBs would quit like that. I'm no Brady fan as a Steeler fan, but Brady and the Pats never quit against Denver in the AFCCG even though Brady was getting killed all game.

Cam seems to be one of those guys who thrives when all is going his way. He's not a tough guy, mentally. When he was crying about not getting the late hit call, he had to grab his helmet and count to ten. I think he was very close to totally spazzing.

Fix was in. The garbage non-overturn changed everything. Carolina played a poor game, probably didn't deserve to win, but Peyton did nothing to win it, either. Higher ups wanted to make sure Peyton goes out a winner.

All sports are fixed now, I truly believe it. At least it wasn't quite as obvious as last year's Super Bowl, But still, it's all gotten ridiculous. If not for fantasy sports I probably wouldn't even follow anything closely any more.
Yeah, I think someone compared it to the WWF earlier in this thread but honestly I don't see why people watch this #### anymore.

Keys to the game

Von Miller

Inside Rush from Wolfe, Jackson, Williams - really the biggest factor - no rushing - no room for Cam to take off

Roby

Stewart

Trevathian

CJ

Wade

Lol..I don't disagree--and I might be mis-remembering--but wasn't the game a one possession game at that moment? I think Carolina was down only six at the time--so for a guy to not even dive for the ball in a one possession game in the 4th quarter of the Super bowl doesn't just make him look disinterested--it makes him disinterested. I don't care if you were on your butt every play up to that point in time--your team still had a chance to march down the field to win--and he just stood there. Just seemed like the Carolina offense was not interested in fighting back versus the Denver D at all---even with Talib self destructing in the first half.

Two great defenses tend to make offenses look bad. Exciting game to watch I thought

I truly believe he thought he was beaten long before that. He looked exhausted in the first half.

I hear you and I don't disagree with you. Cam looked off all night. He was playing a slow speed tonight...almost in slow motion.

They were getting punched with haymakers from the get go. Much like Seattle did to Denver two years ago. Denver did not look they wanted anything to do with Seattle after 1 quarter in that game. It was crazy.

I'm gonna go celebrate with my team. Lots of hookers and cocaine tonight.

Super bowl 50 brought to you by hookers and cocaine.

It was the biggest game of his career and he quit...flat out quit. That play where he did not dive....and backed away from the pile....said everything.

That will stay with him forever....unless he get's back to the Super Bowl and wins one.

Looked to me like he was trying to get a better position and he was in the scrum for the ball as it went backwards. I think people are a little over the top on that play.

Congrats to all the Bronco fans and to Peyton Manning for having an amazing career. It was a joy to watch.

no. I've always thought that about him. This year seemed different, but other than the Seattle comeback and a meaningless loss to Atlanta, this season was a cakewalk for them. No adversity. Today was the first, and his body language was terrible. I don't think his book is written yet, but I need to see him lead the team when he's getting hit and things aren't going well.

Cam is my favorite player but that play will be played over and over throughout his career. No excuse for what he did (actually didn't do) there.

By pimping alcohol he's basically admitted to retiring. Active players can't advertise for alcohol.

That was hilarious. Like when they put the headphones on Mary's brother in 'There's Something About Mary'. :lmao:

I like Cam.....a lot. I think the kid is as gifted a QB as anyone in the league. But that clearly looked to me like he wanted no part of the ball on that play. He just backed away.

No matter. He was beaten up and defeated tonight. He is still a great player. But his rep took a big hit tonight with that play IMO. It will be perceived like he wanted no part of that.

I'm sure Cam is concerned about getting your endorsement, maybe he'll play harder next year thinking about it.
