I like Cierra's game after her huge initial mistake of waiting too long to pair up with Hayden.

Made the switch at six and improved her odds of making the final three (IMO). And if she'd gotten lucky she'd have taken her trio into the final three.

Rocked the outright deceit to try and flip Monica, and was convincing. Lying was really the only option she/they had and they worked it like pros.

Won immunity and got into the final four with at least some help on the way from Redemption Island. Still needs to flip Monica, but she's given herself a chance. Definitely has more game than I expected.

I'm wondering if they're going to release two people from RI instead of one. Or maybe they wait until three? Adding one when there are four others left just seems odd.

I agree with the posts above. Monica did the right thing staying with those two rubes. I don't think she could win against Laura or Hayden, maybe even Sierra (if she has Tina and Katie's votes). But I really think she will win if she is up there with Tyson and Gervase. She is likeable (she gave up eating in favor of the entire tribe) and she has won more than her share of immunity challenges. She deserves to win. I think the Aras brothers will vote for Monica just to spite Tyson for turning on them.
How can you possibly think she deserves to win? She's won some challenges that didn't much matter if she won. That's it. That's her entire gameplay this season. She's followed orders and been a useful vote. That is not someone that deserves to win when others did all her heavy lifting.
If it is Tyson, Gervase and Monica.. most on the jury dislike Gervase so much there is no way he gets their votes..

So it really comes down to them deciding if they vote for someone that controlled the game from the onset, Tyson.. or they are bitter at him controlling the game from the onset and by default give it to Monica.

If it is those 3 it should be a no brainier that Tyson wins, but bitterness clouds the judgement of jury members..

Ciera patting herself on the back after winning immunity was :lmao: . She made her move a week too late and it cost her dearly. Apparently she thinks finishing 4th/5th was the goal of the game.
She has basically 2 shots at it I think and neither are that far fetched. She and Hayden or her mom can convince someone to flip once RI person returns this week which would get non-flipper out. That is part of the pitch IMO. If you stay and the other flips you are gone because Tyson will play idol. It's still a longish shot to get them to flip, but if Ciera can get her, Laura, Monica to the final 3 I honestly think she wins. Her mom was never a player in the game play and won't campaign against her. Monica has no allies other than MAYBE Tyson/G who she will have just flipped on.

The other option is whoever comes back from RI is likely next voted out as long as they dont win immunity. If she gets to 4th, she's 1 immunity challenge 1 win (unlikely but possible) from sitting next to 2 villians in the final. I think Tyson can be beat, just not by anybody in his own group.

The finale is Sunday, I don't see two people getting back into the game

In the end, even if you have played the best game, the jury still has to want to vote for you. If the final 3 is Monica, Tyson, Gervase than the jury probably doesn't want to vote for any of them so they will probably give it to Tyson who played the best game. I don't think Tyson is disliked enough for the jury to give it to Monica, especially when she had a chance to turn on Tyson/Gervase and didn't do it.

It probably won't happen but if Laura wins the next 3 challenges (redemption island, at 5, and at 4), Ciera would go at 5, and Tyson would go at 4. That would leave a final of Laura, Gervase, Monica. Will the jury be alright voting for Laura to win when she got voted out twice, and didn't play "the game" for the majority of the time since she was on redemption island? I could see Monica possibly winning in that scenario.

Also, interesting to see would be Laura winning at redemption and then winning at 5 and possibly giving immunity to Ciera, sacrificing herself. I could see that in that see might think Ciera has a better shot to win it all.

I just want to see the final tribal council speeches and questions with Gervase and Tyson involved. Can you imagine Gervase continuing to run smack at the jury members? What about Tyson continuing to be a sarcastic #####? I think that could be entertaining.

Tyson might be a smart ### at times, but he looks like a saint sitting next to Gervase and his big mouth. If the final 3 is Tyson, Gervase and Monica, I could see Monica maybe snagging a vote or two, and Tyson then getting the rest.

I was thinking about this and was wondering if maybe Monica would have a shot. I could see Tina, Katie, Ciera, and Laura all voting for Monica because they are mad at Tyson for causing them to be voted out. Is it a 9 person jury? If so, maybe she just needs one more vote.

I could be totally wrong, but I don't see this jury being a particularly spiteful one, in comparison to juries of the past, where they don't vote for Tyson just because they are mad that he outplayed them all as the main person in the dominant alliance.

Sure, a bitter jury is always a possibility, but Monica has just as much blood on her hands as Tyson and Gervase. All three of them voted together the entire time. And we've seen plenty of people not particularly liking Monica either due to her paranoia and constant annoying behavior. Hell, she was worried while she was wearing the individual immunity necklace. She has to be brutal to live with.

Even if a jury is bitter, they normally need to at least respect someone else to hand them their vote and I don't think they respect Monica a whole lot. I also don't think Tyson is as despised by the jury as fans may think.

Yeah, I' not sure either. Definitely Monica made the right choice sticking with them, though. She would have no shot at all with Hayden and Ciera.

Also, remember that Monica is married to Brad. Brad was almost universally disliked. He also is an ex-NFL player so the potential money factor works against Monica

Tyson will win if he's there. Every person voted out recently has said as much.

I also think it was the right choice by Monica. If you're going to flip, do it after the person comes back from RI. That way you don't have to deal with voting out one of your alliance members and having them come back in the game.

Atleast if she flips she'll be able to say she controlled the outcome of the game at some point.

Has any competitor ever received as much air time as Ciera and not made it to the final 3? With the edits she and Tyson have received it seems inevitable that they both make it to the final, but I could be way off.

She had to get time to make the mother-daughter vote off and the potential return of Laura work.

that is exactly how many have won in the past, including Tina, minus winning challenges. How can you say she doesn't deserve it? She had to get past the fact that many hated her husband, and she has. And I thought she did win a challenge when Tina and Laura were going to vote her out, before the merge.

What has Tyson done to deserve all their votes? He found the idol and played it when he didn't need to, wasting it. He may not even use the other one he found. He didn't share that he found the first one and wasn't going to tell them about the second until Monica started talking strategy this week. He told her to shut her up, but in a sense she flushed it out of him and should really ask him why he didn't share the info when he first found it.

If it is those 3 it should be a no brainier that Tyson wins, but bitterness clouds the judgement of jury members..
Why is it a no brainer for Tyson? He blew the first idol and then almost got himself voted off by picking rocks, with an idol in his pocket.

I don't know, maybe he will win.. I could just see them voting for Monica. She had a target on her back because of Brad and she survived. Survivor is the name of the game.

 IMO, It's a no brainier that he should win in the sense that if it is those 3 in the final, he was the only one that "played the game" .. Gervase and Monica followed his plans, and never made any moves on their own..

Just read that Tina's son, Katies brother was killed in a car accident this week.
Someone posted that upthread. That comment by Tina as Katie was leaving, "say hello to your brother" was
Is that what she said? I thought she said "eat a burger for me" or something. Why was her brother at the Ponderosa?
Yeah why would she be seeing her brother. She is on the jury not going home.

I thought she said eat a brother, figured she thought Gervais was the next one getting voted out

I agree, she has been amazing in challenges, winning a few. Gervase has been far more of a hanger on that hasn't won squat and just buddied up with Tyson. Tyson has made a few errors, playing the HII too soon, not pulling a Boston Rob with Monica. He isn't that smart, he got outsmarted before when he had a guaranteed vote for his alliance, had to have seen Boston Rob's dominating win and still was asking Gervase if they should go over and check with Monica. I was watching with my son and we were talking about how dumb it was that they let Monica go chat for a while with her. Monica is emotional and paranoid, that is her fatal flaw, and Tyson knows it, yet he isn't smart enough to make sure Ciera isn't feeding her lies.

Sorry, but if you can't even see that you left a door wide open to going home, you aren't as dominating as you think. I am a guy, but I think some of the Monica hasn't done much is because she is a woman. Personally, I think she has played everything as well as Tyson and better than Gervase. Tyson and Gervase have been terrible at tribal council with Gervase making enemies and losing votes and Tyson not saying boo when he could easily just reaffirm Monica and say that Ciera is lying since it is obvious that her only hope is to get Monica to flop (not for last night, but for keeping Hayden and getting numbers).

I also think Monica has played a perfect game socially with the people on the jury. She is voting with Tyson and Gervase and had to deal with her husband and yet, the jury members like her a lot. She gave up the food and has been loyal to her alliance, but hasn't pissed anyone off. She may not win, but based on where she was when her husband was in the game, she has done very well and looks to be a likely member of the final 3 and could win. Pretty sure way back win, no one would have thought that she had a chance and she now has a pretty damn good one. Unless she flops, in which case I don't think she should win anymore, it is her or Tyson. Not bad at all.

Was Gervase doggie paddling trying to swim in the challenge?
No, there was a rope, so he was able to pull more than swim. I still can't believe Ciera pulled that out. The others just couldn't get the dig deep part. She was so bad in the swimming/pulling it was sad. Even Jeff had to laugh that the guy who couldn't swim beat her easily.

Yeah two things struck me about that tribal. Tyson and Gervase never denied what Hayden/Ciera were saying, and that Hayden didn't point that out to Monica.

Not only did they not deny it, Gervase said something to the effect of "It's funny they're brining this up now, when they're desperate, and not when it happened." Lol.

Didn't Jeff say something to Tina last night to the effect of "Only 1 person from Redemption Island can get back into the game. Are you prepared to eliminate your daughter to be that one?"

I think that is a creative edit. If they showed Tyson and Gervase defending themselves and Monica saying I don't believe this lying tramp it would have killed the suspense. Cierra spontaneously said she isnt't lying or I am telling the truth a couple of times , which to me alludes to some prior that girl is a liar conversation.

Just for fun, Survivor's been renewed for next season. Two more cycles (fall & spring), and Probst is signed to host both.

Yep, not having more screen time for Candace is a bummer.

But I'm glad they kept Katie. Her body is pretty soft but I'm enjoying her curves, and a few weeks of starvation will do her good.
:goodposting:
I though of that post during the show last night when Hayden was saying how hot Katie looked.
I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it was odd to me when she was talking or in a group she always seemed to be a awkward goof but when they interviewed her she seemed like a smart kinda cool person. I think her personality was just too subdued for survivor.

I love the show still after watching every one of them. I hope it keeps going as long as possible.
Next season looks to be all new players with 3 tribes of 6 to start. Brains vs Brawns vs Beauties.

Former NBA player Cliff Roberson is rumored to be part of the cast.

spoiled cast so far.

Since they seem intent on keeping Redemption island around..

I'd love to see them change it up that once it hits 3 they have the Challenge, the winner returns to the game, 2nd place stays on Redemption island and the loser goes home.

Knowing a player would be returning sooner, rather then later, would add a little more to the game..

I'm really excited to see a season with NO veteran players.

If it is Tyson, Gervase and Monica.. most on the jury dislike Gervase so much there is no way he gets their votes..So it really comes down to them deciding if they vote for someone that controlled the game from the onset, Tyson.. or they are bitter at him controlling the game from the onset and by default give it to Monica.

If it is those 3 it should be a no brainier that Tyson wins, but bitterness clouds the judgement of jury members..
Just ask Russell Hantz
No way anyone hates Tyson or Gervase anywhere near as much as people hated Russell

I'm assuming she called him?

Based on the photos, other than the cop, i want to kick every single one of them in the knee. Like really hard.

Tyson should win easy against Gervase and Monica. This won't be a bitter jury. You've got two former players that already won, I can't see either of them being sour grapes and their blood won't be either. Vytus and Katie would probably vote Tyson anyway, unless they have some kind of aficionado for Monica that we don't know about. Hayden, Laura or Cierra if they end up on jury won't be bitter either.

The only way Tyson loses is if he gets voted out or faces Cierra or Hayden in the final, even in the latter case he may pull it out.

She definitely said "eat a burger for me". Very sad.
