**** Official - The Big Bang Theory thread **** (2 Viewers)

Very good episode last night. I wan't to keen on the Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler character at first, but she has defintely grown on me. Also glad to see Penny back after her forced abscense. However, the Will Wheaton stuff has got to stop. It was funny at first, but it's getting very tiresome...

Couldn't agree more.I would LOVE to see Sheldon with some supreme ownage of Lt. Wesley Crusher. End it with a big bang and Sheldon on top.

I also am getting  about the Will Wheaton schtick. Other than that, another solid episode. I actually like the Robot-Blossom, and think she could be a solid character moving forward. Having Penny back might have skewed my overall perceptions though :lmao:

I like Farrah Fowler. I think she's important this season because, to me, Raj and Howard are becoming less funny and more useless by the episode. If they aren't funny anymore and Penny's almost never around anymore, we need something.

Obviously, I'm disappointed in this season. I hope they turn it around, but it feels like this show's about run it's course.

Once Penny and the nerd hooked up it was over. You gotta stretch that out. What's left?Sheldon could be a show all by himself.

I have a bad feeling we'll look back at last night's episode as the exact point when a good show unexpectedly jumped the shark.
What means this?
I liked the part about making it to the singularity, looking at Penny stretching before the run, and there were a couple funny moments with the robot, but it was otherwise one of the most formulaic episodes so far. Soft kitty. Another nerd guest appearance. Raj getting mad that Howard is stealing his cheesy lines. And they killed the genius of the sheldon character. He's supposed to be subtle not mugging at the camera for cheap gags. His bazinga in the car that almost killed Leonard was ridiculous. Sheldon making bad jokes about going above penny's head, and needing to go see Woz. Sheldon looking right into the camera and looking overly pleased with himself like a cartoon. This is not the unintentionally funny sheldon that makes the show great.
It happened. :goodposting:

Good point about the bolded.I agree with fred about Sheldon. Sheldon's great, but they need something else. Right now, it's just not there.

Leonard's a nice facilitator, but he's rarely going to bring "the big laugh". He's like Jason Kidd. Important, but he can't carry the scoring load.

Howard and Raj are stiffs. They've been mildly funny at times, but have never been all that funny. I'm shocked this show's made it so long asking these 2 to carry 40% of the load.

Penny is the X-factor. If Penny's rolling, the show's great. When things are going well, she's playing off Sheldon like Jordan and Pippen. She's really funny and, of course, her ### will carry viewers through any lulls in the comedy. Hopefully, it was just Penny's knee-injury that hurt the show this much.

I fear that Blossom was the Gary Payton/Karl Malone signing.

Some of you are nuts. Great show and combination this season.
I am really enjoying the Amy Farrah Fowler character. For better or worse, there are a lot more girls scenes (Penny, Amy, and Bernadette) now that Amy is part of the show. Great line at the slumber party when they are playing truth or dare and Penny goes to her room upset, Amy says, "I am not sure how this is scored, but I think we won."

:censored:

This was one of my favorite episodes in a while.

More Zach and less Blossom please!

Penny in the Wonder Woman costume. :moneybag:

Possibly overlooked great line was Sheldon saying that Amy didn't dress up in costumes because: "Amy Farrah Fowler isn't the free spirit that I am".

I had a dream that we had matching mansions side by side. We had a tunnel that connected my front yard to your back yard? What do you think that means?

:nerd:

Quite the threesome of ladies around these nerd: Penny, Pryia, and Bernadette

And Blossom has been quite good opposite Sheldon

"The family always though Raj was a part time clarinette player"

Sheldon out with The Girls was very funny. I also sense the beginning of the end of the Priya story arc...
Can someone clear this up for me since this is a show I watch on DVRLast night Leonard was dating Priya, yet the week before he was more then happy to sleep with Penny at the conference they went to.That is uncharacteristic of his character a bit, isnt it? I didnt think he would cheat on a girlfriendor it could just be that it was a repeat that I had never seen before
