Very good guess IMO.zed2283 said:So you know going into a closet to save Claire is a trap. So let's go in without looking behind us, and then stand there having tea until someone shows up to hit us with sleeping gas.
Come on... he doesn't kill Joe???? After two whole seasons of that??
And CLAIRE?? WHAT??? All that b.s., she doesn't kill Joe either, and then she leaves Ryan. I'm left at a loss on this whole thing.
I didn't know who Jessica Stroup was, so I looked her up. I still don't know who she is, because what I found online was a whole lot hotter than anything I can remember seeing on The Following.
Only thing left to wonder is who picked up Luke (or Mark, whichever it was)? My guess is the news reporter lady.
I know it's just a TV show but it makes me freak out thinking how many crazy people are really out there...
So the thought occurred to me the other day after the recent hatchet attack and Canada shootings that Islamic terrorism is the real Following. There are a bunch of nut jobs out there in this country and elsewhere looking for a meaning/reason/justification to act on their urges.I said something very similiar to my wife the other night. How even though it's television, someone has these ideas in their head to put down on paper. It shows that there are people out there that this stuff is based off of, and that the human mind is capable of having these thoughts.
Can't we just keep this thread about a terrible tv show we like to watch?I know it's just a TV show but it makes me freak out thinking how many crazy people are really out there...So the thought occurred to me the other day after the recent hatchet attack and Canada shootings that Islamic terrorism is the real Following. I may be a sucker left. I'll watch the first few and see how it is. I can't believe I may still watch, but sometimes it is funny how bad it was. Honestly, it was so bad last season that I honestly couldn't even tell you who died and who lived, so at least that will be a fun surprise to see who's around.first off, sorry shuke.
2nd, are there any other suckers left? starts up again monday, march 2nd.
I can't even prevent myself from recording it. I have Dish, so it gets recording in the prime time recordings no matter what.Noticed it on the dvr schedule the other day. I tried deleting it, but was over ruled by my wife.
Yeah, pretty damn quick he was.Ugh, the escape again. Watched the DVR'd version last night. How did Mark get out? Within seconds of the police sirens, somehow he got out while he was still inside.
This season is definitely better than last season.Still watching, still ridiculous. But I am at least liking it more than I have before.
The ending had a very The Dark Knight fell to it. Basically, Hardy is turning into Batman to protect the people he loves.LOL, Theo gets up after taking a bullet right to the brain. Not a glancing blow, but a shot straight into his brain and not only does he wake up, he musters enough to push Bacon over the railing. Of course Bacon can't hold on, even though he wasn't shot or really hurt. Thank goodness the chopper pilot didn't feel like helping him.
It was actually a better season than last season, but geez they save the stupidest scene till the last. By last, I mean Theo surviving that shot.
ETA: Funny thing is that the end of the show was a really cool setup to what could have been a better season. I liked the ending a lot.
Agreed. I'll be honest, after the real ending, not the stupid part of Theo getting up with a gunshot to the head, I would watch the next season if they had one. I didn't really want to watch season 2, because I thought having Joe gone would have been better and I was right as the Joe cult/Mark and Luke(?)/Mom serial killer family angle was awful. This season was better than the last one even with all of the stupid stuff. Heck, if this was season 2 and the actual season 2 never happened, they might still be making the show. The ending had a very The Dark Knight fell to it. Yeah that was kind of dumb. Maybe Theo is the Terminator.Agreed. It just would have been better if he shot Theo in the shoulder or something and kept shooting him while Theo ran towards him and then they went over. Yep, it happens. I remember that show Jericho, which somehow got a second season due to fans asking for it to come back. At the end of the comeback season they ended the show really well and left the door open for a really cool next season (if somehow that might happen). They did the same here and while I doubt it will come back, it seemed like it could be a good next season. While the show gets ridiculous all the time, this season was much better than last season and as you said, they cleaned up the loose ends that they probably would have been better off without. Honestly, Theo could have been brand new with no connections to Joe/Joe's teacher/Mark and this season would have been the same. Too many shows (like Heroes) think that fans get attached to the villains so they keep them around and the show suffers.I came back for the last 5-6 or so.
ITA with those who thought that the S4 setup was pretty good, and that S4 might have had potential, particularly with no more ridiculous hamfisted cornball Joe chewing every piece of scenery in sight and also no more of the loathsome twins. Once Michael Ealy took over as the villain, Daisy became tolerable, even interesting, as well, without those Mark/Luke azzclowns around. I also liked the setup with Annet Mahendru from The Americans (what a babe) as the face of some new shadow group. If they could have found a way to work in Max (also, what a babe) and Mike into the narrative next season while Ryan did his off-grid vigilante thing, it could have been fun. Of course, they probably needed some new writers, if they didn't completely fire everyone responsible for just about everything in S2 and Joe surviving the S1 finale.
Seems like there are quite a few shows that suddenly figure things out just as they are cancelled.
