GAME PEOPLE- PLEASE DONT SPOIL THIS! NO HINTS OR ANYTHING!

So what’s up with the thing under the basement floor? A big tree root or some type of larger monster?
LOL How can we answer this without spoiling it? The trailers give it away though and even HBO has said what it was.

Yeah I never watch the previews.

The worst are the 3-4 minute “previews” at movie theaters. No reason to watch the movie after those. My lawn. Get off of it.

A big tree root?

I assumed it was a big horde of creatures. But lets ignore it and focus on finding Henry.
I assumed the same. Trailer or not, we know it’s not non infected people or a gopher problem.

Maybe it’s just me but them walking away was really silly. Probably the silliest part so far since we know what will happen.

They had a hundred people there and let’s say cement mix probably doesn’t go bad, why not mix up some cement and just pour the whole room full and heck just for hood measure add some cement in the other areas of that building. Maybe even in that general sewer area. With all those people, probably done months ago when the cracks starting appearing.

I’m no rocket scientist but little stuff like that might be the only thing that bothers me. I don’t care if they suddenly appear but ignoring an easy fix to assure not dying is really dumb. What her henchman can’t say, hey boss why don’t I take half the crew and spend today adding enough cement that we solve the problem and can help find Henry with the rest of the crew tomorrow?

I’d almost rather see the floor cracking as they leave the building not finding Henry rather than use their “ignoring the problem” to show us the floor cracking.

I don’t want you to answer it. I want the non gamers to discuss what we think it is.

Have we discussed yet that going through KC seems too far south based on their starting point and destination? Seems like they should have taken I-80 almost the whole way.

I was curious about this myself. Also why I didnt understand why they changed the location of this episode from Pittsburgh in the game to KC.

It's a 2 hour difference without an apocalypse. Maybe they wanted to avoid Chicago?

Well, you’d take 90 from Boston as I’d assume NYC is about the last place you’d want to drive near. There are a lot of ways and the interstates change numbers occasionally but I could honestly see going 70 instead of 80 again to minimize the being close to really big cities but still having lots of options. Going Indianapolis/KC instead of Cleveland/Chicago seems smart to avoid the biggest cities which are probably the worst places. You’d probably want to also not be too rural because that’s where people live to stay out of the cities except the well equipped/QZs. You can also easily explain it as Chicago with the deep dish pizzas was the worst and you never go near it.

It was posted earlier that the show folks said where they film looked more like KC than Pittsburgh.

It’s not that far south. If you wanted to avoid Chicago and stay on interstates, 70 makes sense. Avoiding Chicago would be smart because all the interstates run through heavily populated spots for longer distances than cities like KC or Indy. Avoid as much city and as much rural as you can.

We should avoid the cities

Drives truck down narrow road to dead end, something nobody with military training should do.

Proceeds to drive into the city.

Leaves behind bolt action rifle, doesn’t take skinny kids shotgun or ammo.

Yeah I had no clue. My geography knowledge is obviously subpar.

Not to mention there are abandoned vehicles everywhere, barricades, rubble, etc. Might have to take a lot of detours and end up way off course.. Like KC.

He was hesitant to drive into the city and even said so but they wouldve had to backtrack a few hours.

At least thats what I thought he said.

I chalked that up to him being shook up about Elle having to shoot skinny to save him. I liked that he didn't just act like a "robot" in the aftermath.

well, gas does last 20 years in this one.

What is a clicker? The plastic tool old people use to turn the channel?

Also, personal appearance is not show fodder.
Rome has been saying that for years for a good reason.

Turn the channel? Good one grandpa!

Clickers are apparently the creatures because of the noise they make but I'm not sure if they've called it that in the show.

The camera did a very poor job of showing what was in the room. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary so I was confused.

Get out of here with your facts.

I admittedly thought Wyoming was way farther north than Missouri when I first watched the show.

Guys. I was making a joke.

Trailers = spoilers.

That's my general opinion, though. WORKED UP
Yeah even I was little annoyed they gave what it was away. I was only speculating until I saw the trailer.
I ended up catching a trailer when we were watching ESPN at lunch, and it gives away a future plot point that I couldn't exactly remember. Not sure why they would do that, but I should have averted my eyes. I was trying to get my friends to watch the series though (successfully as it turns out when I convinced them it isn't a zombie show).

Didnt he say it breaks down quicker so they have to refill every hour
I might be misremembering but doesn't gas break down like within a year if it doesn't have a fuel stabilizer added? Even then, it only bumps it out to 4-5 years (I think) so you have to suspend some disbelief if they are sucking gas out of tanks that are 20 years old.

Guys. I was making a joke.
I know you're new here but that's frowned upon in these threads. Do better guy
