Are you guys drunk when you're watching these shows? They ended up back in the field becuase Shane is an insane ####### who hesitated and didn't realize that Rick had led him back to the farm.Dale didn't turn because...well...he got shot in the head by Daryl. They lowered Glen into the well because they had to get a rope around the walker to get him out.Sheesh..
:goodposting: Can't wait for Sunday night but it's going to be crazy. Packers game.Walking Dead returns.Dexter.I need to buy some more TVs.
This sucks. I have Dish and they still don't have AMC back yet. Haven't figured out my gameplan yet, but I am looking forward to it.BTW, Andy you are correct. I don't mind valid complaints, but geez, stop complaining about stuff that makes sense just to complain. Trying to pile on and think of everything that might not make sense and missing key points that they showed.

FYI.. Walking Dead Marathon this weekend..

The Walking Dead returns next Sun., Oct. 14 at 9/8c. Which may leave the uninitiated panicking about how they can possibly catch up in time. Fear not! On Sat., Oct. 13 at 10AM/9c, AMC begins a two-day The Walking Dead marathon on-air covering the full series to date. First comes all six episodes of Season 1 back-to-back on Saturday starting at 10/9c. Immediately afterwards, Season 2 airs in its entirety throughout Saturday then again on Sunday

The Walking Dead

AMC, Sunday, 9 ET/PT

Television's most horrifying — and, perhaps, harrowing — series returns for a third season with its depleted band of survivors once again in search of shelter. Considering how quickly this show runs through regular characters, they're also in search of new castmates, and you'll meet a very promising one tonight in Danai Gurira's Michonne. There are times Sunday when Dead plays like a spectacularly bloody video game, with the team picking off zombies at will, but don't let that fool you. This series is also capable of moments so terrifying and emotionally charged, they'll make you gasp for breath.

For those of you with Directv, the new episode is not showing up in my To Do List. If you have the series recorded, you may have to go and add the individual episode.

WTF do I do? Any other Dish Network folks out there? It is a Sunday, kids have school Monday morning, I'm effed. I don't want to pay for it/watch it on my laptop. I want to watch it in all its HD glory.

Less than 24 hours!!!

For those of you that have read the comics, is the main focus on the people in the group/societal themes? Will we ever get more info on the bigger picture of the zombie outbreak? I am really interested in why, how, where etc in relation to the apocalypse. Unfortunately I'm growing a bit bored with Ricks family.

The only show that will keep me from watching football. I hope they kill off Carl in the first episode.

The reasons for the zombie outbreak are never really important or focused on. It's all about the survival. The cast will grow quite a bit and there will be less focus on Rick's family.

wow, wonder why that is? Mine was set to record the first new episode on Friday even though there are no conflicts tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the headsup. For whatever reason I had to setup the recording for this series all over again.

Pirate Bay was my friend on Breaking Bad, and it will be again here.My blue ray player/streaming video player also has a USB port on the front making it insanely convenient to DL then watch on the big TV downstairs.

Well, I guess the producers listened to the viewer criticisms about how absurd it is that everyone is a dead eye who can pull off head shot after head shot from 30 yards.

Seriously? Why do some of you even watch? That was a very good season opening. Lori's baby might eat its way out (which would be great), Herschel's leg was just chopped off. And for those that complained there wasn't enough zombies, there was a bunch this time.

I like it ok but the 'Ricks group moving around, killing some zombies, one of them dies, having some internal relational strife, then cliffhanger' standard plot line is wearing thin.

If they all already have the virus inside them and it's not killing them, then why would a zombie bite make a difference?

Also the whole idea of cutting his leg off without proper medical care nearby is a way to kill him faster than a bite.

I think it's probably dormant until they die. If a zombie bites them the active virus enters them.Cutting off his leg to kill him? It'd just be easier to cut his head off. They're trying to save him by keeping the virus from getting to the rest of his body.

They are trying to save him by preventing him from dying from infection from the zombie bite. They already have the virus, infection kills them cause zombie bites are very unsanitary and causes an infection that kills them.

The only knock I have is they keep showing so many previews of future weeks that it seems a little disappointing when they show an interesting scene but it isn't from that nights episode. Wish they did a 2 hour season opener too.

They should be to the point where they have the practice of assuming every body is a live zombie till they are sure.

What was really good to see about this episode is that we can tell they have been struggling for some time to find a place to stay. We don't have to hear conversation after conversation about where they need to go and why.

Also, Maggie was looking good. I don't mind losing the old guy, if he is lost. The new people might bring some semblance to the group and hopefully not some criminal mischief.

And, Carl has really grown up as an actor. If this show keeps going, he is proving he is a leader. Rick needs to go. Lori was showing some top notch emotional acting too. The thought of losing a baby and then that baby turning on the mother and her expressing those fears... chilling acting there. Mad props to her.

Sooo...zombie fetus. Plausible? If it died before birth, would it become a zombie and start eating it's way out? (Obviously talking about a near term fetus) I doubt they go there with the show, but that thought stuck with me after tonight's episode (I know, pleasant, right?) Thinking like a human version of the Alien "birth" scene.

Did that thought strike you after the scene about that scenario?

I don't know what some of you were watching. That could have been the greatest first half-hour of TV ever.

I'd love to get a body count in this one. Just zombie after zombie getting his skull shot/sliced off.

No way do I waste my rounds on those zombies...lure them to the fence and just keep poking them to death.

My son and I were both of the same mind that those zombies in the yard are like guard dogs against people coming into the prison...

I like the idea of a zombie baby eating it's way out...but sadly, it's got no teeth...so that's no even plausible.

I like how the guys in the prison were surprised to see them...I mean, they've only been outside popping off 100's of rounds the day prior...but I can get past that by thinking these guys were in a secure, soundproof area. But if you run that prison...are you really not gonna have any kind of a watch?

I don't understand how the zombies got behind them as they fell back...weren't they clearing the freaking rooms?

I freaking hate that kid...and his whorish mom.

My complaints:

Just way too campy. If this show wants to be serious then they need to act seriously. Rushing in made no sense.

This show needs to be consistent with the rules. First they said the blood could infect and now they are rubbing the zombie blood off on their shirts. Whats that about.

Next I dont get the whole, we are surrounded by zombies. Just get in a car and drive through them. Also why arent they trying to find out more about the zombies?

They just keep rehashing the same storyline over and over.

That was tons o' fun to watch.

"That's why we need to go in there hand-to-hand."

Brain shots with gardening tools, sorta like watching Braveheart.
