This show gets nitpicked to death, and I don't want to pile on, but here is something that bothered me in the last episode:

So, a zombie finds a bleeding human who is passed out lying on the ground...............and goes for his shoe?
I can't remember, but wasn't that zombie a dragger, that couldn't use its legs? And may have attacked the first thing it came upon?
Nope, the zombie was on his feet during the struggle:around the 1:00 mark
Darryl was still sweating up a storm. Methinks you all underestimate the effect a sweaty foot in a leather boot has on a Zombie with a foot fetish.
Rex lost some serious weight

Why did Rick take Daryl's necklace? Rude!

I watched it last night (can't stand sitting through 15 minutes of commercials) and to me it was the best episode so far from a character communication perspective. I even didn't mind Rick's conversations this time - hopefully I'm not getting immune/zombified to the terrible acting). The whole premise of the farm full of zombies didn't bother me. I actually got a good laugh out of it. I tied in the statement by the old man about running out of antibiotics with the image of him having a side room next to the zombie hole where the zombies could reach in. I laughed because I could imagine him using a disinfectant wipe on the zombie's arm before poking him with the needle.

I was watching episode at like 4am with my newborn and must have passed out during last 10 minutes.

Rewatched and lo and behold, barn full of zombs and Daryl not dead.

Show has been improving and upcoming scenes look promising.

I enjoyed it. Kept waiting to see one-handed Merle, then realized it was just Daryl's mind. Have I mentioned that I am smitten with the farmer's daughter?? Even if she would've pushed Glenn in to feed the barn zombies, I would still  her.

I might be recalling incorrectly..

But it seems each time the Old man has spoken about the Visitors to others in the House his statements are "They won't be along for long".. More than "They will be leaving soon"..

which leads me to believe he is waiting for a cure and therefore feeding the Barn people until said cure arrives.

Could get interesting...

:goodposting: "they won't be around forever"

Working on getting getting 21-40 up for you readers. #91 is out for those who are caught up, by the way. About to read it now.

Why are you so convinced that the entire rest of the world has gone to hell? These zombies don't seem terribly proficient at climbing fences or swimming. Maybe it's just a matter of building a fence or a moat and they'll all be fine. But only if they can go right now, and not five months from now when everyone is finally convinced that she's likely dead.
hmm interesting theory. So if they can build a fence they should be safe, correct? (ETA: i only mention because those who have read the comics have seen the pro's and con's to this)

Also, glad to finally see another zombie series getting ready to start. All of these other crappy shows get replicated it was about time. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but it is on Chiller (ch. 257 on DirecTV I think), and it starts in a few weeks. I am guessing it will be more action and less story driven like the Walking Dead, but it should help to hold a lot of us over until the series starts back up in February

This show is really draging. How many freaking episodes are they going to look for this girl? Move on, there's no reason that this needs to be a driving issue for this long.
The girl is a MacGuffin. Without having to search for her in that location, Herschel would make them leave the farm. So the search is simply a plot device that keeps them at the farm so they can develop different character archs.
what about the kid that was shot
In the comic book they were allowed to stay there until he was healthy. They are using Sophia to give them something to do besides sit around the farm.

Zombie Invasion IIRC

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Completely missed that, great point!
:lmao:
I didn't find it that surprising...not that often does a zombie get to savor his meal.

Best episode of the season. Only fast-forwarded twice for short scenes. I hope they incorporate more flashbacks.

To go along with the good lines from the episode: When Merle was nagging at Daryl at the top of the climb, he reached out his hand and said "C'mon, grab Rick's hand.". Pretty sure that was the missing hand that Rick cuffed to the pipe. That whole conversation and the Rick's hand part, on top of the mom (whose name I still don't know or give a crap to find out) giving him the kiss, that should seal Daryl to Rick's side. I liked the epsiode, though largely because it was mostly Daryl. At the end though, I couldn't help notice that NOTHING REALLY HAPPENED until the last minute! Sophia: still missing. Carl: still in bed. Lori: still pregnant and silent and re-rejecting Shane, again. Rick: still a wuss. Shane: still a #### who Lori has rejected. Dale: still a prat. Glenn: still useless (though bonus points for almost getting more). Farmer: still a terrible actor who wants them gone. Mom: still useless and less concerned about her daughter than Lori is about her still healing son. T-Bone: is he on the show still?

But I do understand. It's hard to advance a story when you have 28 minutes of commercials.

There were some good scenes in there and some not-actually-clunky setups (like the hayloft note), but #######it if this isn't the most frustrating show on the air.

His character is so useless that people don't even know his name is actually T-Dog.

I'm sure this is a total n00b question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.

Why don't zombies eat other zombies?

I am gonna have to juggle my dvr. I watch Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, and now Walking Dead all of them are at 8pm central.

The writing on this show gets worse and worse every week. :lmao:

Looking forward to next week's episode.

Anyone watch Hell on Wheels? How was it?

Way too much Lori tonight indeed. Fortunately, not too much Rick, though. Unfortunately, not enough of badass Darryl.

I like Andrea's reaction to the power of the pistol. I may have to purchase my wife a firearm.
