I thought this episode was the worst one this 2nd half of this season, by far.

Glenn getting the watch was cheesy, my daughter just met you 3 or so months ago, but here is the watch that has been passed down through generations.

Carl wandering around in the woods by himself and then him standing 1 foot away from a walker, i was hoping the walker was going to get him.

The whole gang talking about what to do with the kid in the barn, the vote was obvious to kill him, so do it already. 1 vs 11 turns to 2 vs 10 and they still dont do it.

The walker surprising Dale, like you couldnt hear him sneak up, in the middle of the night.

Only good part of this whole episode was seeing Daryl being a badass. He needs more of a part in the series. Let him take T-Doggs lines. ha

Not really. It basically saying Glenn is part of the family. Glenn will may have to make a choice between the group and Maggie and her family or it wouldn't surprise me if the group of 30 came to take the farm and Hershel rather die there than leave. And he passes on being the head and protector of his family to Glenn. I don't think Hershel would let his daughters stay if the rapist 30 come. I think it will be a case where Hershel sacrifices himself so the others can escape.

Not really. It basically saying Glenn is part of the family. I liked the scene too. Sure it was a little cheesy but I thought it was Hershel's way of not only showing his acceptance for Glenn (he called him "The Asian boy" a lot before) but also a way of foreshadowing the decisions and actions Glenn may face like you said.

- the parents letting him wander aimlessly into the barn and into the woods after the whole sofia thing is ridiculous - plus kid is acting so stupid and jerky I also found myself cheering for the Walker to get him....probably not a good sign for the writers!

(Hershal is getting older, he may not get many more chances to pass it down. Might as well give it to a guy you hope your daughter sticks with. The dating pool probably isn't too big in the age of Zombies.)

(What kid doesn't push the boundaries, especially after he's been through. The men seem to be in charge so he wants to show he can do stuff and stop being treated like the stupid little kid he is. Could feel like he's a grown-up now that he's been shot, could feel superhuman too from that. )

(Still having trouble with the morality conflict. The vote didn't really mean much either way. The vote seemed more of a way of delaying a choice that Rick doesn't want to make. torturing the guy has forced their hand.)

The walker surprising Dale, like you couldnt hear him sneak up, in the middle of the night. (The sounds on a TV show aren't natural, they take stuff out and have mood music. Realistically with a cow making noise and the crickets and other insects and animals that would be making noise. And Dale so mad about the groups vote that he wasn't thinking and went off alone to look at the cow, it's not impossible a zombie could come up behind him. He may have been lulled by the safety of the farm and been preoccupied with thoughts of the execution.)

Was Dale walking to blow off steam and came across the cow, or did he hear the cow and go out to check? Could have been a bit of both I suppose and preoccupied with the pending execution he wasn't being cautious and being wary of zombies. Could have thought any zombie noise was other cows.

Honestly, this entire episode was wretched up until the point that Dale died, which was the brightest moment in television since Poochie got killed off. The writers for this show absolutely cannot write dialog to save their lives, and that weakness was really on display since the first 55 minutes of this episode were basically a debate contest.

I think a lot of people forgot the time Dale ran away with a bag full of guns and Ammo.I don't recall him returning to the camper with the bag.. Guessing he stashed most of it somewhere else..Goes along with his current conversations with Andrea to "change the leadership" and take control of the situation.

watched The Walking Dead for the first time last night on AMC and even though I didn't follow a lot of what was going on I thought it was a solid episode. Loved the kid encountering that zombie at the creek. I'm not a zombie fan but I liked what I saw.

Should I invest myself? shows i like: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones.....i gave up on True Blood. Too many fairies and angel dust.

I love this series. Started with the pilot just over a week ago, and have watched every episode since then. Last night's episode was boring and tedious. It's the first episode I've felt that way about.

In relation to some of the other episodes I could see that.. it just seems a lot of people are watching this as a "Zombie show with people" which it isn't..I think it makes a big difference on how you view it. If you are watching it expecting it to be "Zombies with people" then you are bound to be disappointed. This is meant to be a show about people that survived a disaster that wiped out most of Man kind and how they react to that disaster with Zombies being the result.--------One of the major complaints this week is Carl wandering off. IMO it goes back to being complacent.. In the Months that they have been at the Farm not one Walker has wandered in.. and the only time any one has gotten injured or died was when they left the farm. They've started to feel isolated and safe at the Farm.I look at it this way.. I live in a small town in Western Wisconsin and have no problems letting my daughter bike around the area with her friends without me being with her or being able to see here. But, if I moved to Downtown St. Paul, there is no way I'd let her out of my sight for the first few months.. but over time you are bound to become more relaxed about the area you live in and the boundaries you set at the beginning would become more lax.. best show on T.V. for me right now and enjoying every minute of it.

In the Months that they have been at the Farm not one Walker has wandered in.. and the only time any one has gotten injured or died was when they left the farm. They've started to feel isolated and safe at the Farm.

That's why most of them don't want to leave the farm. They feel safe and secure there. It's likely just a matter of time before that idea goes to hell. At some point, walkers, Randall's buddies or both need to invade the place. It makes sense dramatically if nothing else. You can't create an unsafe world and then find a place that's going to remain completely safe. Last night's walker attacking Dale was almost certainly a foreshadowing to more headed their way.

Special 2 Hour Season Premiere, Sunday Apr 1 8/7c... Complete "Awesomeness" they would start the new season on April FOOLS day after the way they left everyone hung out last season.

People saying there needs to be more zombies aren't getting it. It's not supposed to be like a movie every week, they'd run out of material and zombie kills would get mundane. Better to keep the current pace where you don't know if there will be many zombies, a few or just one. Complainers would probably be upset if there was ever an episode without a single zombie sighting.Carl wandering off, I think the group has a false sense of security but they are also giving the kid more credit that he'll stay out of trouble and stay within a safe distance of the others.
