Let the Rick-tatorship begin!
You can only be the king if you take care of your subjects. What if you say, "I'm the boss and if you don't like it, then leave" and then everybody leaves?
Big loss with this group.
The rest of them probably do indeed have only themselves to blame. I don't know if I'd want to cede control to somebody who wants it (not that Rick particularly thinks this). And who might not want my advice. Looks like gb Rick is a little overwhelmed with the responsibilities of command.

Not really buying the fact that they won't try to attack her though, even with no arms or jaw.
What are they gonna do, bleed on her?
They're mindless zombies. If one is willing to rip its face off squeezing into a car, they will try to gum her to death
Right. They can't kill her but I don't see them being docile enough to be led around on chains.
Bottom of page 87 of this thread has a "spoiler" of a sort that explains more of those in tow. Not a Huge spoiler and IMO worth reading.
Thread is only 45 pages.

Something I read on another board. If Lori's baby dies late in her term, will it turn into a floater(walker) and try to eat her from the inside out?
I wish she'd have a miscarriage then.

A mysterious African-American woman armed with a katana, Michonne first appears when she saves Otis from a group of zombies. She used to be a lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia. She had a father, a mother, two sisters, a brother, an ex-husband, two daughters, a boyfriend, a mortgage, and a whole lot of other things. When the dead returned to life and began attacking the living, the first place Michonne went was her neighbor’s house. His son, a high schooler, was a sword junkie that used to cut up the fence between their yards, and killed their cat. Michonne grabbed one of his katana swords. It was easier than finding a gun, and it wouldn’t draw any attention to her. She had taken fencing as a child, and then again in college, and had gotten pretty good at it. Not to mention that it helped work off some of the steam of her seventeen years of college.Michonne herself had two zombies in tow, her boyfriend Mike and his best friend Terry. Both in shackles and having had their jaws and arms cut off, Michonne mentions that after a while they stopped trying to attack her and their presence decreased the chances of other zombies attacking.
 good spoiler tho

That is really dumb, IMO. I understand that we're watching a show about zombies, but they might as well just introduce Wolverine and Magneto next. I guess this is where I regret getting into a show based on comic books. I doubt that I will hang on too much longer if this is the direction they're planning to go in.

Unless they deviate a lot from the character in the comics, I wouldn't be too concerned. Michonne is a bit mysterious and a loner but doesn't evolve into a superhero. She's very human, has some issues and just happens to be good with a sword.

Lori is great. I don't see why people do not like her. She has a lot going on and she is the only one, other than Rick, who has to deal with a child and "family". Of the characters we have now, no other character has that issue and this is an issue from the old world, peaceful world. Her and Rick are unique compared to the likes of the others.

Yeah no one on Herschel's farm had family.

And, Hershel reacted accordingly as he wanted to keep his remaining family in tact and on the farm. One difference between Hershel and Lori is that Lori was banging someone else in the party. Herschel, unless he was getting with a daughter of his, lost the love of his life and reacted in a non sensible way overall but tried to maintain the old world. Lori is trying to do the same. She needs her farm to get overrun with her barn getting burned to a crisp for her to be more like Herschel. We are seeing in Lori what we did not see in Herschel before the party got to the farm. I will have to catch up on the comics but if Rick thinks he is in charge and is going to find himself in the cluthes of this prison, he will be far from in charge if this Michonne and Governor are involved. This group is going to find themselves in a parasitic role that this prison may not welcome them in. I am also interested to know what the prison people know about the zombies. Do they know the CDC secret, have they experiemented on them, what knowledge can they bring to the table as well?

I agree with some of this but Lori also started banging her husband's best friend a week or two after she thought Rick was dead. She basically spelled out in neon letters that she wanted Rick to kill Shane and then got pissed at him when he actually did it. She also likes to take the moral high ground despite the fact she's essentially been a cheating w***e. I thought Andrea put her in her place rather well for all that. Again, I don't have a problem with the way Lori is written or acted. I think she's being presented as a very troubled, flawed character. She just happens to be real easy to hate because of it. :)

Do you want CSI:Zombie Apocalypse? My bad...we can discuss the realism over whether or not a zombie can rip open someone's stomach with it's bare hands and whether or not they can find Hawaii but how dare I question someone walking around with zombies leashed to them like pets.Carry on...and please be sure to kiss my @zz while you're at it.

From Yahoo news

Season 3 will feature the new character along with British actor David Morrissey, who will play the villainous Governor; it'll also introduce the prison, which is a big setting in the comics and which we caught a glimpse of in the final shot of last night's episode. The series seems to be promising faster-paced action and major zombie drama.

I'll still watch and probably love the show...but this ninja with zombie pets is pushing my boundaries.

Is that ok to say...or should I be strung up or possibly shot in the leg and left for the zombie horde to snack on?

Dexter is and was one of my favorite shows...but it fell off a cliff this last season. The writing got sloppy and they tried way too hard to wow us, especially with a twist that EVERYONE saw coming.

I'm just saying that there are certain moments in a show's storyline that can end up losing connection with the viewers and subsequently spell the demise of the show.

Who knows...I may end up liking this character and it's story...but my gut reaction to it is:

By next season's end, I expect to see a zombified Fonzie jumping a zombified shark for the finale.

 People lose their fricken minds when Zombies start :hophead: on people. In this case Michrone goes from being a Lawyer, to being a bad A## survivor and decides that using her skills as a trained martial artists serves her better than trying to learn how to use a gun. The Spoilers posted above explain who the Zombies are, and why they have become "Docile". She isn't a "Super Hero", it's just who she became after all hell broke loose on Earth. Not having read the Comic books left me confused when I first saw her in the last episode. Reading who she is and what her background is has me :excited: to see her in action.

Sword makes sense. Gives range, it's quieter than a gun and isn't ammo dependent. The zombie pets? I'm curious how they explain it all. I don't think they'll gloss over it.

About the zombie pets:
In the comics she kills them within minutes of finding the safety of the group and we never hear from them again. It's more of just a dramatic entrance. They served a purpose for her when she was alone.

Not having read any spoilers or the comic, I may have an idea as to why the swordsman leads those two neutered zombies around. If she sees walkers nearby, she pulls the prisoners close to hide her human smell. You can't see her face or body so it's difficult to tell even that she's not a walker. She's pretty much hiding in plain sight.
That was a theory I had as well. Not really buying the fact that they won't try to attack her though, even with no arms or jaw.
Didn't the black guy at the beginning of the series say that the zombies retain some type semblance of memory?

Sometimes, you have to deal with what's right in front of you. Day to day survival often precludes long term planning. Plus, it's not like there was a bevy of options available to the group.
"day to day"? How hard it is to say "Hey, just in case things get metal around here we need a plan...you five go in the motorhome, you three take the truck..."?And hell they spent a whole lot of time just talking about crap. Pretty sure they weren't foraging for grubs and berries dawn to dusk.
These people aren't FBGS or even Navy Seals....they're Pizza Delivery men, mute black guys, Civil Rights lawyers and crazy mothers. Plus, they thought they were off the beaten path.
