What was wrong with the raining zombies thing? From what we have seen, zombies remain pretty dormant when confined. They literally do not move, as we have seen multiple times throughout the series. Whether they are in a church (where some were actually sitting) or store and can't get out, in a house (season 3 opener) or on a roof with no where to go. They don't move. But once they hear a sound, they all move towards it. That is why the roof collapsed at that moment. All of the walkers were on top of the weakened area of the roof at the same time.

They had been blasting music for 2 weeks to get the walkers out of parking lot so they could go raid the store. Why didn't the walkers fall off the roof then? If they were new, how did they get there? Also, how did they not notice a ####### helicopter on the roof?

The zombies were on the roof, they had no where to go. The zombies were "survivors" that were on the helicopter. I believe they made that apparent.

How do we know they didn't notice the helicopter?

They were on the ground, in the front. The heli was on the roof, on the back ledge. I don't believe they saw it. The music was in the front, where the roof was fine.

The roof zombies would've responded to the music being blared and fallen off the roof.

With no heavy machinery, that would be really hard to do, especially not knowing if it would indeed work. Those things they built outside the gate that opens, the things that resembled those railroad tie obstacles from the beaches on D-Day (best way to explain them)? I'd build a bunch of those and line them up on the outside of the fence, along the whole perimeter.

Also why not have some sort of a mobile controlled noise maker like a car with a loud stereo to lead walkers away from the fence? Down the road about 10 miles and then let them go.

I assumed the people were gathered on the roof for survival and rescue. The chopper came down to pick people up and was overrun. So everyone on roof ended up turned.

But the zombies staying completely still is dumb. Can't have it both ways. Zombies roaming the countryside in search of food and apparently the prison...and zombies standing perfectly still for six months. Especially while a boom box is blaring a few feet away. Just dumb and unresolvable.

And by now I'd have insane amounts of barriers around my prison...didn't they learn anything from the guy who locked down and entire city block by himself?! What was his name? Love that crazy *******.

I think they did learn and apply at least a little from Morgan. Those wooden spike things near the gate weren't around before, were they? Those are basically a simplified version of Morgan's setup. At the prison they don't need the bait, since they are the bait.

She said a LOT of things.. I was hoping for some twisted thinking like.. Husband Eddie died and was lost, but baby Eddie lived, then died and she kept it..In reality.. I was just hoping for our first Walking Dead baby

It was pretty clear as to who Eddie was and what/who was in the bag.

I found it interesting (and kind of distracting) that this woman (Clara?) spoke with an Irish accent. Maybe it was simply due to the fact that she was one her way to her honeymoon, and every flight goes through ATL, but I keep coming back to the fact that a European character has been introduced here. The producers could have gotten anyone to play this part here. Red herring?As for the "new, thinking zombie" theory, did we actually see her eat the food Rick handed her? The scene ended with her stabbing herself, Rick walking away, and "Eddie" moving underneath the blanket (who we never got to see.) I'm thinking we'll see them again soon, and Rick will have a "I should have taken you out when I had the chance" type moment.

The one thing I mentioned from the very beginning was how this supposedly "not doing well on our own" woman completely ignored the food once it was given to her. Not really sure why Rick didn't put one through her head though. Feeling sorry for her situation doesn't do much when she's a zombie.

"We're not doing well on our own". She's carrying around her husband's reanimated head in a burlap sack, so I'd say that's a pretty accurate assessment. We won't see them again imo. That was a "one-off" thread. And I don't have any issues with Rick granting a troubled woman her final wish.

When they showed Rick staring at the group of zombies at the fence at the end I thought for certain we would see her among them. Instead we got melted eyeball guy again.

We're gonna have to swallow zombies bunching up to break down fences...then it makes sense they'll bunch up and keep going towards sound...knocking each other off. But let's say the parapet is so tall that it corrals them...they'd still bunch up towards the sound...thus breaking the roof.

Morgan had dozens...they make two or three.And these zombies are apparently only attracted to the sound of broken bottles through a roof...rather than Michael Jackson's Thriller being blasted in the parking lot.

They said it was set out 3 days ago as well. So maybe enough to draw their attention away but not enough to start a walker stampede. The ones on the roof might have heard it and shuffled over to the side only to find out they can't get off the roof and then dispersed again. The roof didn't start to collapse until drunky drunkerson knocked down the shelves.

A stretch? Sure, a bit. But I'm willing to suspend disbelief, especially since the mayhem it caused was so awesome. That was a great scene with great effects. Loved the Talking Dead in memorium with the slowmo falls from the ceiling smashing their heads in.

Also, as commented on above, the zombies didn't hear the bottle, the heard the shelving untis falling down and the dozens of bottles. They also showed water leaking in, so that part of the roof was already compromised and not that hard to hear through.

Oh well, I liked that scene. The funny part is that of all the complaints, I am still surprised that the helicopter wasn't one of them. I would have thought a helicopter that big crashing like that would have damaged the roof far more than it did. The blades would have broken and really damaged the roof even without the impact of the helicopter going down.

Agreed, his eyes seemed to be bleeding, just like the kid in the shower where it looked like blood coming out of his eyes before he reanimated.

A helicopter flying overhead caused a million man walk that lasted for weeks after the copter was gone, but a radio blasting music for days didn't get their attention enough?

Makes sense...virus could still be the same. But now communicable viruses are setting into the groups who aren't taking proper precautions to avoid them.

You die quickly of bleeding from Ebola (not thus quick but still)....then zombie virus kicks in to reanimate.

The helicopter scene established they tend to group together and walk in one direction until something else draws their attention like another group which explains the herds. We didn't see what happens if their path is impeeded by something they can't break down as easily as a fence. All the prior episodes seemed to imply if they are enclosed they go dormant but if let to walk around in somewhat larger space they would disperse normally unless something drew their attention again. Like the prison yard in last years premier.

Even in that case, the blades of the helicopter are going to do pretty sever damage to the roof. I like the scene, but if I am going to nitpick, I would nitpick on that because it looked more like they delicately placed a helicopter crash on the roof.

2) Todd Bridges puts a bottle of wine back on the cabinet and the whole things collapses Wile E. Coyote style. Come on.

3) Then the zombies start raining. How come they never fell through the roof before then? They're just wandering around up there.

4) Why did the chopper suddenly fall through the roof? Because of the holes the zombies opened up? See (3) above.

I get that this is a zombie show so the writers feel like they need to come up with a way to get somebody eaten every now and then, but this was silly even by the standards of the genre.

That crazy looking zombie that they kept showing at the fence, the one Rick looked at. Did that thing have eyes? To me, it looked to have crazy bug eyes, like with the eye balls popping out of it's head. Anyone have a pic?

That crazy/no eyes zombie is trying to tell us something. IE... someone is watching (the Governor maybe).

No F'ing way that much booze in one place survives a full year into the zombie apocalypse with only a crappy chain link fence stopping the scavengers.

Was really hoping one of the three questions was "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?".

The three questions was a let down.

My three questions:

1. Have you even hunted, fished, or farmed?

2. Have you even shot a firearm.

3. What was the most difficult thing you have had to do to survive?

4. Bro, do you even lift?

Why all this little knives and short sticks?

Rebar Pikes/Spears--rebar is sharp as heck and a four foot section would easily puncture a skull. The prison is falling apart (especially the rear of the place)--rebar is everywhere.

Or even if you don't have rebar, then three--four foot wooden pikes/spears would just be deadly with all the zombies around the fence,.

I mean, all the people at the fence are covered in blood and gosh knows what from the zombies they are slaughtering. Would not one of them think, "Hey, what about disease?"

I like the show and the fact you think about all the What ifs, tells me it is a good show.

Also, the music couldn't have been THAT loud, since the group was talking to eachother in normal voices right next to the radio.

Good point. It was meant to pull the zombies right there to the fence, not to bring in hordes from everywhere else.Also, as commented on above, the zombies didn't hear the bottle, the heard the shelving untis falling down and the dozens of bottles. They also showed water leaking in, so that part of the roof was already compromised and not that hard to hear through.

Oh well, I liked that scene. The funny part is that of all the complaints, I am still surprised that the helicopter wasn't one of them. I would have thought a helicopter that big crashing like that would have damaged the roof far more than it did. The blades would have broken and really damaged the roof even without the impact of the helicopter going down.

People on roof to get evacuated. Chopper lands and too many people board. They lose control and it never really takes off as zombies overrun them.How, we don't know...because they can't climb or do anything that makes real sense, except first episode that they abandoned. Who knows...writers know that most don't really care about plausibility...we're gonna buy those chicken nuggets regardless of how bad they are for us.

Even in that case, the blades of the helicopter are going to do pretty sever damage to the roof. I like the scene, but if I am going to nitpick, I would nitpick on that because it looked more like they delicately placed a helicopter crash on the roof.

Helicopter blades are actually very light and fragile. They'd shatter easily before doing much damage to a roof.
