I thought so
One kid and one guy wiped out the massive hoard that was gathering at the fence?[/quote
It was a modern day version of Sparta. Take a narrow opening and a couple of guys with semi automatics and you can plow them down until you run out of bullets.
1) It didn't look like there were enough zombie carcasses to equal what was outside that fenceOne kid and one guy wiped out the massive hoard that was gathering at the fence?[/quote

2) Why didn't they just do that the first time that they had problems at the perimeter?
I guess it wasn't her because they would be talking about it on Talking DeadI thought so
Because the noise would just draw another herd and they would rather conserve ammo for a (zombie) rainy day?1) It didn't look like there were enough zombie carcasses to equal what was outside that fence 2) Why didn't they just do that the first time that they had problems at the perimeter? One kid and one guy wiped out the massive hoard that was gathering at the fence?[/quote

I liked this one.Awesome episode. Can't be that intense every week but that was great.![]()
I think so based on the timing of us viewing, although he saw some zombies boarded up in the hospital first based on chronological time or in terms of completely seeing them, the lady crawling in the park.Who was the very first walker/zombie/whatever of the series, and who saw it?
Was it Rick with the little girl in episode 1?

It can't be a great episode when it's nothing but red shirts dying. The first 5 episodes so far have been the worst of the series.I don't have it anywhere near the best of the series, but it was definitely the best of the season.

also loved the background music they used to add to the atmosphere. It can't be a great episode when it's nothing but red shirts dying. The first 5 episodes so far have been the worst of the series.I don't have it anywhere near the best of the series, but it was definitely the best of the season.
If you didn't enjoy last nights episode then I think this show has passed you by and it's time to move on..I hope so. I thought I read that this season would include some Gov only episodesso is next week's episode going to show what happened to the gov after he shot the citizens up until now?
If they were using the same storytelling techniques as they have the past couple of seasons, next week's would be 95% flashback. But this season's different... I just hope it's different enough. The last thing I want personally is to have the entire episode take place in the past with the Governor, and then have the last 3 minutes in the present.so is next week's episode going to show what happened to the gov after he shot the citizens up until now?
Who is Cliff?Somehow I missed the first few weeks this year so I'm a little lost. Anyone have cliffs notes to get me back to speed?

A virus killed a bunch of people no one cares about. There, you're caught up.Somehow I missed the first few weeks this year so I'm a little lost. Anyone have cliffs notes to get me back to speed?
The virus was a false jeopardy situation and it was obvious the main characters weren't going to die from it (except I thought they'd use it as a way for Herschel to make a heroic sacrifice for Glenn). I'll keep watching but this is an awfully cheesy show.snogger said:cstu said:It can't be a great episode when it's nothing but red shirts dying. Thought so to.. But, as the Recap Trailers stated, Herschel has become a Father Figure to Rick and Rick still has a lot of "learning" to do.I thought Herschel was going to die. Many times when TV shows give a supporting character a beefed up episode or storyline it's a prelude to killing them off or removing them in some fashion like we saw with Carol last week.
if his demise comes either at the mid-season break, possibly by the hands of the Guv... Or the Season finale.Yeah I like the Rick-Herschel relationship a lot. I'd hate to see him go. But we all know some of the main cast are going to go and it probably will start happening reasonably soon.Thought so to.. There are only 7 main characters left. How many do you want killed each week? The virus was a false jeopardy situation and it was obvious the main characters weren't going to die from it (except I thought they'd use it as a way for Herschel to make a heroic sacrifice for Glenn). Jesse Pinkman was going to die after Season 1The writers originally were going to kill off Herschel in the Season 2 finale. So he's been living on borrowed time for awhile now.
True but I'm not sure I'd equate Herschel's role on this show with Jesse's on Breaking Bad.Jesse Pinkman was going to die after Season 1The writers originally were going to kill off Herschel in the Season 2 finale. So he's been living on borrowed time for awhile now.
It's almost like cstu would like to see every other season be a new set of characters.. Maybe Rick and his son live, but no one else.... No need to get wrapped up into the lives of the other characters because they will all be dead soon any ways.. .There are only 7 main characters left. But there might be something to that. I don't mean they need to kill off everyone or only keep Rick/Carl or whatever... but we've had the same small group in basically the same place for 3.5 seasons now. Personally, I'm starting to wonder what's going on elsewhere. What does it look like in New York? What about Europe or Africa? The "soap opera" label hasn't been earned yet, IMO, but the show is starting to feel a little small. I'd like to see the group (however many of them) move next season. It's almost like cstu would like to see every other season be a new set of characters..
