Couple thoughts:

1. People are complaining the Governor isn't twisted enough? He keeps zombie heads, rapes captives, creates zombie MMA, and kills for no apparent reason. I thought the dude was plenty over the top.

2. I take it none of you have ever been to a prison. I've been to several and the fence lines are enormous. No freaking way they could ever build a trench around the fence line in a few months. And it would probably not be very effective at all, as Stu pointed out. The car idea does seem viable, though.

3. Michonne's motivations were obvious. The Governor essentially stole her best friend (Andrea) and she picked up quickly he was a bad dude.

I don't remember him raping any of the captives. He made Maggie get topless, but anything else is your imagination and was denied in the show. He was extremely brutal in the comics, and that is why many feel he was kind of watered down.

I don't have it anywhere near the best of the series, but it was definitely the best of the season.

It can't be a great episode when it's nothing but red shirts dying. The first 5 episodes so far have been the worst of the series.

If you didn't enjoy last nights episode then I think this show has passed you by and it's time to move on..

The virus was a false jeopardy situation and it was obvious the main characters weren't going to die from it (except I thought they'd use it as a way for Herschel to make a heroic sacrifice for Glenn). I'll keep watching but this is an awfully cheesy show.

Thought this episode was easily the best of the season.

The only problem I had was the disjointed feel of watching all hell breaking loose in the prison block juxtaposed by the father/son moments outside. Rick did a little too much "That's my boy" staring while zombies were tearing down the fence. Probably should have stayed focused in that scene and reflected afterwards.

A little nitpicky but otherwise great episode with an excellent teaser at the end.

I like the descent into madness. No sympathy, but at least there's a little bit of depth to the character.

not so much sympathy as building depth. He went after losing his family and they are showing that although he was a raving lunatic the way he ran Woodbury, there was a method go his madness. To protect that which he had by any means.

What? One of the few episodes with some decent development. The gov was a crappy character before. It's far better than the virus/fence/walker fake drama bull#### the last few episodes.

My guess:

One more Governor episode, taking us up to him standing outside the Prison (Can't decide if he meets up with Carol before this)

then all hell breaks loose in the last two episodes.Walkers and the Governor's group attacking the prison

Carol will probably die and maybe Herschel

It was interesting as he explaining it I was taking it as him rationalizing why he killed all of his Woodbury pawns. And then the girl drew the eyepatch on the king and I was like, okay, way to be overtly obvious show. No subtlety evah!

Enjoyed last nights episode. Thought the nursing home was going to be the place Rick was hospitalized, and featured in one of the webisodes this year. A little disappointed it wasn't

I took it as they were tired of saving his butt and his nonchalant "if I live I live, if I don't, I don't" attitude.

so they decided to let him fend for himself and if he lived he lived, if he didn't he didn't.

He is weak now, or at least was at that point, and they don't fear him anymore which is evident in the trailers for next week.

I took that as two seperate points. The pawn explanation and then showing how the girl has accepted him.

Cool episode. Was weird seeing the governor as an errand boy. Also unsettling constantly trying to determine his intentions. Thought a few times he might take off with with "New Penny". Possibly after letting grandpa eat the other two.

Wasn't the little girl right there with them all? I thought that was creepy in the mom's part.
