***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (1 Viewer)

No.  If anything it would make worse cause it could potential stick to a walker and get you killed.

Pretty sure it's just to look more bad ###.

Plus some of the zombie video games use the wire as an "upgrade".  Bottom line, no, adding barb wire would be stupid if this was the real life Z apocalypse.

Maybe he doesn't use it on Walkers and it's only a ceremonial bat that he uses when he kills a human.

1.  He must have figured Maggie would die if they didn't get her to the doc.

2. He realized they were being lead somewhere the bad guys wanted them to go, so it would be likely they'd stop them from getting back to Alexandria anyway.  Getting out of the RV and walking seemed like a better idea than trying that.
I think #2 was a good idea on his part.  I'm a little skeptical that Negan's group would've figured out exactly where Rick's group would get out of the RV and be able to setup shop in anticipation.

But the larger point is that Negan's group has outsmarted Rick every step of the way.

It's going to piss alot of people off when, at the beginning of the next season, Negan has beaten to death one of his redshirts for some stupid reason instead of one of the Core Group....ala every cheeseball action movie where the bad guy shoots one of his boys to prove a point.

Whole thing is just so Morgan can say "i told you so, everything comes around" in regards to the killing of Porch ****. If he was put in the cell, he may have been around to treat Maggie.

I don't get how people can think this is worse than the Glen "death."  I mean, I guess it could end up being worse, but it's all about how it's handled when the show comes back.

I must've missed something.  How did they know exactly where they were walking in the woods and then have a hundred in the spot waiting?  Did Eugene really just stop the vehicle and point them to where he thought Rick and the crew were headed? And then that many dudes got there and set up camp? Wtf

I think they have enough people to have spies all over the route. They were stopped quite a while, waiting for dark to unload Maggie. If a spy further down the road didn't see them then you can close in on them. Also each place they stopped, they probably drew the noose in closer.

My guess is that it was Abraham. Spent a good chunk of the season having him go thru a journey of not caring if he lived or died to talking about having babies with Sasha. Plus you had his goodbye scene with Eugene, just turning it on its ear a little this way.

That missle launcher sure could have come in handy this episode.

I'm going with Abe being it took him a double swing to knock him out. That and the goodbye scene with Eugene.

No the missile launcher was far more important for lighting the pond fire. Matches be damned.

How do they do these talking dead shows go an for an hour. These dudes talking like this show is the Magna Carta mixed with The White Album.

Just turned the TV on to see the last 5 minutes, right after Negan was introduced.  JDM was great.  Not showing who died was not.  So lame.

He did not say "he" when he said takin it like a champ.  Pretty sure he just said "takin it like a champ" with no he or she qualifier.

I'm out, #### this stupid show. Just the single worst episode of the entire series. I thought the mockingjay angle was cute, real original

Me too. I thought "He" was said the first time but didn't hear it the second.

Line up was:

Eugene, Carl, Aaron, Sasha, Rick, Maggie, Abraham, Michonne, Daryl, Rosita, Glenn

He the "order" as he's rambling off the phrases doesn't match the actual order. Unless he's walking back and forth randomly pointing to people. I think he went in order and the jumbling is just. Only other clue I see is that the RV isn't in view when he's taking the person out. There's only woods behind him.

Looks to me it's either Glenn or Rosita.

It's kinda funny you guys are trying to figure out who he hit by the eenie meenie crap or whatever he was doing.

It's not Rick or Carl.  Other than that, it is completely random, and trying to figure it out based on what you saw is hilariously dumb.  Cmon.

I wonder if the constant barrage of comic readers spouting off and zillions of articles online have a little to do with the reactions about the ending.  Just curious.

Not for me. I know who's supposed to die but it's irrelevant.

The negan actor sucked. Not frightening or charismatic at all. I think sweringen from Deadwood would have been a much better choice. This guy was like 140lbs of cuddles and unicorns.

Then the fact they ended on a cliffhanger, again, it's just tired.

A more realistic episode, Rick would have killed the first group and kept on traveling. I mean they've crushed everyone to date and just decide to play nice, derp.

It really was stupid in all aspects

That's the thing, EVERYONE knows this big bad Negan guy comes in and kills someone (most know who).

I would have much preferred to see who it was, and to see some nice blood splatter and reactions from the group, but after thinking about it some the reaction to the cliffhanger is a bit overblown.  Go figure that happens in this thread.

Oh, and I thought JDM was good.  Again, the comic Negan was incredible, but that was basically impossible to put on this screen on AMC.   IMO knowing the comic Negan would make any actor seem like a disappointment for this show.

I agree with whoever said that if he didn't kill someone and just beat them bad that this would be worse than the Glenn thing.  Yes, definitely agree.

I agree. Going by the eenie meenie, depending on the order he was going in, it would be Aaron or Daryl, IF Maggie actually is "Are"

Silly people being upset over a cliffhanger. But I guess people never say "I wish they'd left it a cliffhanger."

This one was pretty bad though.  Usually the cliffhanger has people in a situation where we are left wondering what will be the outcome of the situation, or how will they get out of it.

In this case, someone just got their head caved in.  Negan told them he would bash one person.  He did it.  The situation is basically resolved.  One person is bashed (probably dead), and the group will now have to keep giving Negan half their stuff.

Problem is, obviously, they didn't show who was bashed which was pretty stupid.  I really can't fathom why they thought that was the way to go with this.  This would have been bad if there was another episode next week, horrible if at the mid season finale, but at the end of a season?????  That was a terrible decision that really has no justification.  I mean, really, what is the point of doing it that way?

I keep saying that knowing this part of the comics probably would hurt this moment, and it did.  I stopped reading the comics at 100, but they just ruined the best, most dramatic, stomach churning part of the comics.

Unlike some, I am not sitting here saying I will never watch again, writers suck, show sucks, blah blah blah.  They simply ruined what should have been a scene that was near the quality of the barn scene, and instead it was bad.  It went from potentially a top 2 moment in the show to BAD.

It's the nerd who took the RV earlier.

Would have been better if it was the red head bulky guy.  They built his story line up enough.

So many seasons in?  Carl would have been a good choice.  He's irrelevant.  Would have made Rick more interesting.

heres the thing, whats the point of leaving that as the cliffhanger?  Its the same as ending with morgan reaching into his pack and pulling out a twinkie and a granola bar and staring into the camera as it fades to black.  So. Stupid.

A couple of good episodes this season but all in all just lazy crappy writing.  So lazy and generic.
