***Official Tigers vs Yankees ALCS Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Good sacrafice Robbie. Good Job, good effort

Anyone, including this team, who gives this Dog 200 million at age 30 needs their head examined.

Tigers' starters have allowed five runs in 40+ innings so far this postseason.

I don't think there is a better unit in baseball, but I'm a little biased.

That said I am worried about Anibal with that Short porch tomorrow.

Nice job COKER!!!

WHY, WHAT COULD YOU POSSIBLY BE WORRIED ABOUT? ANIBAL COULD UNDERHAND TENNIS BALLS TO BATTERS WITH FUNGOES STANDING AT SECOND BASE AND THESE HUMPS WOULDN'T DO **** WITH IT

Who is better? Verlander is the best. Scherzer was the best pitcher in the American league in the second half of the season. When Fister is healthy, he is a top 10 pitcher in the American league. Sanchez has pitched extremely well the last 6 starts.

The Rays. Detroits staff is very good but Price-Shields-Moore-Hellickson-Cobb is better. All that said I'm definitely rooting for Detroit in this series and the playoffs so not really looking for a huge pissing match.

Not able to pull it up by breakdown of SP and relief, but the Rays staff allowed a full 100 less runs than Detroit while in a tougher offensive division. But whatever.

Detroit was second post all-star break in AL pitching as starters behind the Rays. I'll take Verlander over Price, Scherzer over Shields and Fister over Hellickson or Cobb at this point in time. Moore probably gives Tampa a slight advantage overall but I think we can argue about it. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with Tampa though, Giants are probably the other unit.

There's no doubt the Rays bullpen is better. That's not even a discussion. The starters though?

The last 6 weeks of the season, nobody was better. I would not take the Ray's staff over the Tigers right now in the playoffs. The Ray's pitchers had a better year, but right now no one is pitching better.

lol, he's the best we got. Just think that and you won't get frustrated. Kid has been clutch though, only two hits but both came in the 8th in close games. And that throw? Ridiculous.

I guess if somebody really wanted to nerd it up they could compare the numbers, but I'm not that guy. Besides your team is alive and mine isn't. Really all that matters. My fiancee is from Detroit though. Says I need to adopt the team as my "second team".
