Damn you! I was hoping he'd be there at 3.6. Yeah, his defense is turrible, but offense will be at a premium here, I think.

3.03 Milkman Jim Turner, SP

33 year old who reached the majors after 14 years in the minor leagues. Was a longtime pitching coach under Casey Stengel after his playing days.

Doc kinda Krafting up his spelling in here. Gay dudes to my right on their first date just launched into an in depth religious discussion. This could get interesting.

Ah, Claud, speaking of ####. Or rather, someone that talks like they have not one but two in their mouth.Yup, next Sunday. Have to officially call the time, Im thinking 3-7. Gives people time to do their church and morning ####, and ends before its too late since it is Sunday.HOWEVER, doors open at noon for pregame and 1:00 football, although you should come out the night before. New place is SWEET.

3.06- SS Johnny Pesky, 1942

"He's (Johnny Pesky) also one of the only people in baseball to have a part of a ballpark named after him. Fenway's famed 'Pesky Pole' -- the right field foul pole -- was given the nickname by Sox broadcaster Mel Parnell. A former teammate, Parnell was poking a little fun at Johnny's lack of power -- he hit just 17 home runs, and only six at Fenway -- every one of which went out past the right field foul pole, now the shortest distance for a home run in major league ball." - Author Bill Nowlin in Spahn, Sain, and Teddy Ballgame: Boston's (almost) Perfect Baseball Summer of 1948 (Bill Nowlin, 2008)

good pick...poor historyHere's something you may not know:

Johnny Pesky’s career got off to an unparalleled start, and could have propelled him into the Hall of Fame had World War II not pulled three prime years out. Pesky set a rookie record with 205 hits his freshman year (1942) but then served in the Navy for the next three years. When he came back, he twice more he produced over 200 hits, in the Red Sox pennant-winning year of 1946 and in 1947. Had he managed over 200 hits for each of his three missing years, there is every possibility this lifetime .307 hitter could have made the Hall.

Born John Michael Paveskovich in Portland, Oregon on September 27, 1919, Johnny Pesky (he changed his name legally in 1947) was the son of Croatian immigrants. His father Jakov never did really understand baseball, but he and Johnny’s mother Marija were both supportive of their middle of three sons when he took to hanging around the Portland Beavers ballpark located a few blocks from the family home

Ok people, since the shark pool and ACF are useless for the most important fantasy stuff (WDIS or trade):

I have Josh Freeman and Shaun Hill to trade in a two QB league (Flacco and Rivers are my starters): Would you rather have one over the other to a big degree, and would you rather get S. Moss or D. Bryant. I can definately get Moss for Hill, really need a 3rd WR (steve smith carolina, no bench), might be able to get Bryant.

To me, it seems like it may be a wash which QB I give up and which WR I get - either would help me as its a PPR. Moss maybe gets more receptions, Bryant more TDs and upside.

WHO DO I TRADE.

Will answer yours.

Ok nevermind. Bryant deal wasn't going to happen, traded Hill for moss. Will be better than steve smurf.

dear god these teams are going to suck
:banned:We've already just about dropped off the top plateau of position players after dropping off the top pitching plateau a while back. After the first 5 players or so, some teams are going to be an absolute nightmare. Why aren't we including rookies in this again?
