Future failed WIS idea: Everyone picks a franchise, or maybe draws a franchise. The salary cap they get for the draft is that franchises average real salary spent, say for the last 10 (15?) years.

Why? Half the teams would have absolutely no chance at winning.

To do franchises you have to figure out a way to even them out.

That was the WHOLE idea Larry. And why it was a future failed WIS idea. I just want to see jfranco win with the A's franchise over me or Chem X with the Yankees.

110mil cap is fine. It will force people to use actual bench players and RPs for the end of their bench as opposed to just having a 200ip starter as your SUB.

It's not actually a terrible idea. As long as you restrict the years. Let's say we did 1995-2005. So the Yankees can have Giambi at 1B with Tino on the bench, two $6mil guys but only space for one of them. The A's can have all of their "best" players, but a crappy bullpen.

There's something to it if you really think about it. OK maybe the minimum salary could be 70mil though. 30mil wouldn't work.
