That was my worst pick in three drafts. I was gonna take Bosio or some other guy and I just picked because I was in a rush. Might take his cheapest season and cut my losses.
Might have to do this myself with a guy or two :kicksrock:
We should have a little clearing house (our version of winter meetings) as one mans garbage me be another's starters.

14.22 - Jeff Frye, 2B

Didn't want to spend the cash but might as well on a former Sox dirt dog. Couple usable seasons so some flexibility there if needed, going with 97 at the moment(Solid historical performance).

FYI: Monday is a holiday in Canada, I'll be away for the long weekend, so you can skip me anytime, even from tomorrow morning (have a "team meeting" at a pub in Toronto for a couple hours tomorrow as well.

Interesting. He's the one guy I shied away from because of salary. Some of his price tag comes from his bat, which doesn't do much good in a DH league.
I think you can still pinch hit and DH your pitcher... LOL
It's almost impossible except in SimLive. I tried resting my hitters to try to get Doc Crandall some ABs. Sparky still ran through the entire bench before calling on Crandall.

I'm snuggled in at $79.98 mil with 88% of my PAs and 80% of my rotation put together. We'll see if I can put together a competent pen and a fifth starter on about 25 mil.

I figured his salary was the main reason he was still available. The HR/9 may play well in this format despite his otherwise pedestrian numbers. It will be interesting to see his final numbers.

Yeah, Mike Leake was about my 4th best hitter in the last Back to the Future but I couldn't figure out how to get him more AB's.

Cincinnati invited Williamson to spring training in 1999, where the combination of an impressive performance and injuries to key members of the pitching staff, including Denny Neagleand Stan Belinda, led to Williamson making the major league club despite having made just five appearances at the Triple-A level and never being on the 40-man roster.[5] Williamson made his major league debut in relief on April 5, 1999. In his rookie season with Cincinnati Williamson went 12-7 with 107 strikeouts, a 2.41 earned run average and 19 saves; made theAll-Star team, and earned Rookie of the Year honors. Williamson was the first Reds player to be so honored since Chris Sabo in 1988.[6]

I asked this earlier and didnt get a response. How many innings do we need? 1400? 1500?
162X9 = 1458

plus there will be some extras, of course
LOL...funny.

I think its actually about 1350 we need with the 10% or so bump you can get out of the guys. I just wanted to get confirmation of that..
I wasn't trying to be funny

1350 with a 10% bump gives you 1485, +27 over the 1458

That assumes perfect usage of all pitchers

Everyone has a different comfort level regarding how close or far above that number they want to go

I think it's possible to get by with less if you're willing to deal with some fatigue and let your mop-up guy take a few shellackings for the team

Yeah, this is what I was looking at. I figure if I can get 1350 good innings and one 100 IP mop-up guy then I will be ok.
