We should have a little clearing house (our version of winter meetings) as one mans garbage me be another's starters.Might have to do this myself with a guy or twoDoctor Detroit said:That was my worst pick in three drafts. I was gonna take Bosio or some other guy and I just picked because I was in a rush. Might take his cheapest season and cut my losses.![]()
Interesting. He's the one guy I shied away from because of salary. Some of his price tag comes from his bat, which doesn't do much good in a DH league.15.05 - Mike Hampton (SP)
I think you can still pinch hit and DH your pitcher... LOLInteresting. He's the one guy I shied away from because of salary. Some of his price tag comes from his bat, which doesn't do much good in a DH league.15.05 - Mike Hampton (SP)
It's almost impossible except in SimLive. I tried resting my hitters to try to get Doc Crandall some ABs. Sparky still ran through the entire bench before calling on Crandall.I think you can still pinch hit and DH your pitcher... LOLInteresting. He's the one guy I shied away from because of salary. I'm snuggled in at $79.98 mil with 88% of my PAs and 80% of my rotation put together. We'll see if I can put together a competent pen and a fifth starter on about 25 mil.Interesting. Yeah, Mike Leake was about my 4th best hitter in the last Back to the Future but I couldn't figure out how to get him more AB's.It's almost impossible except in SimLive. 162X9 = 1458I asked this earlier and didnt get a response. How many innings do we need? 1400? 1500?
LOL...funny.162X9 = 1458I asked this earlier and didnt get a response. How many innings do we need? 1400? 1500?
plus there will be some extras, of course

I think its actually about 1350 we need with the 10% or so bump you can get out of the guys. I just wanted to get confirmation of that..
salary is way out of whack on that 99 seasonInteresting. He's the one guy I shied away from because of salary. Some of his price tag comes from his bat, which doesn't do much good in a DH league.15.05 - Mike Hampton (SP)
This makes me happier than any praise my parents ever gave me as a child.Damn you Bogart. I didn't think anyone would take Nabholz.
I think it's possible to get by with less if you're willing to deal with some fatigue and let your mop-up guy take a few shellackings for the teamI wasn't trying to be funnyLOL...funny.162X9 = 1458I asked this earlier and didnt get a response. How many innings do we need? 1400? 1500?

1350 with a 10% bump gives you 1485, +27 over the 1458
That assumes perfect usage of all pitchers
Everyone has a different comfort level regarding how close or far above that number they want to go
Yeah, this is what I was looking at. I figure if I can get 1350 good innings and one 100 IP mop-up guy then I will be ok.I think it's possible to get by with less if you're willing to deal with some fatigue and let your mop-up guy take a few shellackings for the teamI wasn't trying to be funnyLOL...funny.162X9 = 1458I asked this earlier and didnt get a response. predicting a whinedown over the $1M pitcher with the highest IP/G.Yeah, this is what I was looking at.
