OFFICIAL WIS XVII THREAD: Long Balls, Boy Bands, and Booming Economies (1 Viewer)

TRADE #####ES:

Looking for power bat and/ or struggling closer swap

Hamelin 1B (really solid D But missing offense)

Tim Raines CF

Junior Felix ( he's been raking but would consider in a deal for the right bat)

Lookin for 1B or OF , really just looking for an underperforming bat in exchange for Hams lower than expected production.

does anyone need some IP? I ended up with more than i need, and could use some PAs, especially at catcher.

can give up a pitcher like Steve Karsay (40 IP, 7 IP/G, 2.68 ERC#), Bob Patterson (lefty, 60 IP, 2.31 ERC#), or Bill Risley (76 IP, 1.75 ERC#)

Pray for Rain T.Clark hits a Texas League single to RCF.
DP R.Hudler hits a shallow flyout to LF.
DP J.Bell grounds to SS. They get the force at 2B, but the batter beats the throw to 1B to avoid the DP.
W.Randolph hits a linedrive 2-run homer to LCF. K.Griffey Jr. smacks a solo homer to RF that barely clears the wall. D.Hermanson enters the game to pitch. S.Sosa smacks a solo homer to RCF that barely clears the wall. J.Gonzalez crushes a solo homer to LF. J.Leyritz grounds out to 3B. Back to back to back to back

Biggest offensive disappointment has got to be Hamelin. Guys hitting .188, although getting decent amount of walks. Really good D, but killi g me at 1B with that avg.

Come one people lets trade some disappointments and hope for a good change of scenery.

Oddly enough, despite doing well in SimLives, Steve Finley is only hitting .238/.282/.441. He does have 13 HRs and 13 steals, but his bat's been disappointing. Mo Vaughn's .269/.331/.461, which isn't horrible, but less than I was expecting.

I had to bench Ron Gant. Not sure if there's enough OF PAs to swing a deal though

Did Bogy pay off the gold Glove committee or what? Currently holding 7 of 9 gold glove awards in the AL(and Ken Hill is NOT one of them).

If I could get Cirillo on that list, it would be worth losing the rest of my games.

What we have done here is prove that outstanding defense, crappy pitching and mediocre offense will win you 43 percent of your games.

Koya...accepted.

Flanagan was doing a decent job as a reliver, but Darwin can hopefully have a bit more upside and perhaps my park can help.

That said, still really looking for a bat. I suppose ANYone is technically available, but I have a bunch of decent pitchers, most of whom can start, from 50-75 innings up to 150 (not including Nomo as that would need one hell of a blockbuster and a lot of ok innings back).

Would still love to trade for someone's failure and get rid of either an ok OFer or my dismally hitting Bob Hamelin. Some pop, ok walks, but that avg. is killing me. Seems the -1 park is hurting his game a lot.

MB, checking some options. This specific deal won't quite work but might be something. Let me look it over.

Newly acquired Mike Flannagan surrendered 14 runs on 14 hits, 7 of those being HRs in 4.2 IP. Thanks Koya. Thanks a lot.
