*OFFICIAL World Cup 2014 Fantasy League* - RESULTS POSTED (1 Viewer)

Le Sulk @ 3.13 :X :X

What was I thinking?

During the 2010 World Cup, Anelka was sent home after reportedly abusing coach Raymond Domenech at half-time during the 2–0 defeat to Mexico.[104] Following criticism of his positioning by Domenech, Anelka is reported to have said, "Va te faire enculer, sale fils de pute"[105] meaning "Go #### yourself, dirty son of a whore."[106] The incident was later reported by the media, and the player refused to publicly apologise when asked to by French Football Federation president Jean-Pierre Escalettes.[107] The next day, the squad refused to get to training in protest against Anelka's expulsion.[108] Anelka was subsequently hit by an 18-game suspension from international football by the FFF as punishment for his actions, effectively ending his international career. Anelka later claimed to be "dying with laughter" at the 18-match ban, as he had already decided to retire from international play.

YaYa

If it was socially acceptable, I am positive i would have named one of my kids that.
When he was available at my last pick I assumed he was hurt. Is he? Great pick if not.
He is hurt that ManCity did not send him a birthday card, but he is healthy as far as I know....Eta - I guess he has been in Qatar getting treatment for a "minor" injury. No worries. :oldunsure:

Belgium:3

Netherlands:3

Costa and Suarez are the biggest wildcards in this draft. I thought about taking both at the turn and making a big time gamble.

Truly Boom or Bust.

I had Suarez lined up before Tlef jumped in. I was actually considering him at 1.5. If Uruguay had a better draw, I probably would have done it - but did not want to risk the injury on top of the potential not to get out of the group with my first pick. Now with Costa and Fred I have two of the top-10 (at least according to the oddsmakers) to win the Golden Boot.
