Messi seems to be pretty much out of the running. Difficult to see a hat trick against Germany (or two goals/two assists).
He should have lost to Netherlands on purpose. He could probably have dropped six goals on Brazil in the consolation game.

I did run a correction this week, after JtC pointed out I had some issues with the 3rd place/Finals calculation. If you find any other issues, please let me know ASAP. It's pretty much impossible to run through every scenario for troubleshooting purposes, but I don't believe there are any more errors.I thought Dr D was 4 points behind me - did something have to get corrected in the Charvomatic excel file?

He has a total of 177 goals, you have 153 goals. The current total is 165 goals, with 2 games to be played. Right now you are both exactly 12 goals away from the total (dead tie), so if both games ends 0-0 with penalties you would chop. Even one goal in either game gives the tie breaker to DrD.

Okay I see the correction you needed to make - I was given 5 points for Germany's win in the semi-final on the original sheet when I had Brazil. I went through the rest of the sheet (using a dummy with everything right I got 148 so far - with everything wrong I got 0). So I'm good
