That's fine by me... The master sheet is done, so it's easy for me to add new entries. The main issue is if something happens from now and up to the last game (injuries, scratches, plague etc etc). Only reason I wanted to extend was to give more people a chance to join (and I set the deadline early to allow time to create the master sheet).

 
I say keep the deadline open as long as possible to see if we can get a few more entries. It's only $20, I don't really care if somebody gets a slight edge because they know about an injury the rest of us didn't.

I only submitted one entry so as not to offend Sebowski and put too much gamesmenship into this contest :P

The entry I submitted was almost entirely biased to my rooting interest as opposed to what I think would offer a better chance for me to win the pool.

but, I think it would offer an advantage to those who waited to the last minute, and add more work to Charvik who has generously offered plenty of his time to get this thing up and running so well.

If he's okay with keeping it open, feel free to disregard my opine.

I'm glad you're leaving it open if it means more entries, but I would say we have a major injury now. Just throwing that out there.

Ribeiry? He was banged up before, but yeah confirmed out now. Everybody is free to submit an altered sheet until we close...
 
Also got a sheet from Gator-friend #2, just waiting for his son's and doc Detroit of the guys already paid up.

Tons of guys showed interest, I think at least 10 from up thread... Get off your asses and join!

Charvik- I am most definitely in. But I am unable to open the spreadsheet (I have an old version of Excel)- any ideas?

 
Ok, making an executive decision, I am going to allow entries until next week, Wednesday, which includes everyone already submitted the option of changing their sheets.

The reasons are two main ones, I want to maximize the number of people in the pool, and more importantly, I don't want anyone to have a dead pool due to injuries. If injuries happen during the tournament, that's bad luck, but first Ribeiry, now Reus and some others... No fun to have people's hopes killed before it even starts.

The scoring master sheet is done, except for one cosmetic change that isn't important, so it'll just be some extra work for me Thursday morning to get everything sent out before kickoff.

 
Ok master sheet now contains 29 entries, including edits for cheese and da_raiders. I have Aaron's entry and waiting for Paypal, all others are paid up, including friends and family from above.

I also have payment from dr Detroit, and he will send his sheet in today.

Plenty of time to join folks!
