I'm sure ESPN has been waiting for this matchup since favre signed August 18th
I'm sure they have but to call this one of the greatest MNF games IN HISTORY.. is a farce. Besides the personal issue between Favre and GB, there is nothing really on the line, just another division game/rivalry. And these aren't 2 great teams, just average to above average.I'm sure ESPN has been waiting for this matchup since favre signed August 18th
He's on his way.oh snap.did they just call adrian peterson the greatest runner in nfl history?

Loooooooooooooong way to go.Hyperbole is up about a million percent this season.oh snap.did they just call adrian peterson the greatest runner in nfl history?
Ehh, Rodgers could throw 6 picks and only people who don't follow football would say that GB didn't make the right decision so I disagree a lot. But yah it would be partially worth the hype if the game were in GB....The hype for this game is mostly manufactured IMO. I think this game is bigger for Aaron Rodgers than it is for Brett Favre.
ESPN at it's finest.Hyperbole is up about a million percent this season.oh snap.did they just call adrian peterson the greatest runner in nfl history?
We don't need to imagine that, Staubach wasn't a giant egomaniac who wanted everyone to grovel at his feet. This is just another game but ESPN is ruining their pants because of America's ridiculous love of all things Favre. One of the top rivalries in the NFL between the Packers and the Vikings and then to see HOF Favre agaisnt the Packers is crazy. For you Cowboy/Redskins fans imagine Staubach in a Redskin uniform for a Monday night game

You have to admit though he is fun to watch. The throw he made at the end of the Niner game was incredible. He is playing much better than I expected him to this season.not buying the hype...After all the crap Favre has pulled, I can't see how anyone can root for the guy

If anyone enjoys football and watching someone that loves to play the game it is easy to see how someone can root for Favre.I guess shoving Favre down our throats for the last decade paid off. This game marked the largest TV audience in cable television history for any show. 15.1 million homes tuned in.
I was listening to the show, and I'm pretty sure they said something to the effect of "Peterson is on his way to becoming one of the greatest backs in NFL history", which is FAR different from saying "Peterson is the greatest back in NFL history".I won't deny that ESPN goes way overboard with a lot this stuff, but people tend to exaggerate as much to insult them as ESPN exaggerates (which is what they're insulting them over, ironically).ESPN at it's finest.Hyperbole is up about a million percent this season.oh snap.did they just call adrian peterson the greatest runner in nfl history?
