One Play that Knocked Your Team Out of the Playoffs (1 Viewer)

The Westbrook play is obvious....my competitor almost lost because of that......

I have a good one. My team lost by 3 points.....

Seahawks vs Panthers.....last play of the game. Friggin' no meaning, why'd you throw it, TD pass with literally one second left on the clock. The guy I was playing had Hasselbeck and Branch. Unbelievable. Bye Bye Money League.....

A couple weeks ago, Ben Watson drops a TD in the end zone, and Gostkowski ends up kicking a FG. Though both are on my team, I lose by a hair under 3 points.

This week, I played the Seahags DST (0pts) and Benched SD (27)

I'm up 19 and he has Minn DST

I'm pretty much screwed with Kyle "I party more than study" Orton and The WRONG ADP trying to run the ball.

If I don't advance I'll be looking to deal Seattle this off-season they let my squad down.

I just need Chicago to score tonight (anything more than a shutout) I also want the Bears to throw for over 150 yards and rush for over 99 as a team and hopefully not have anything returned on them kicks,punts, fg's fumbles, picks and hopefully Orton doesnt become a statute and get sacked all the time and throw picks.

 
I lost to the Favre owner in week 8 on the overtime 80 yd bomb to Jennings. That play was the reason I got a wildcard instead of winning my division. It changed my playoff matchups. I am in danger of going out tonight unless AD can get 2 TD's.

 
I could look back at a series of plays for all of my teams, but one play killed 2 of my teams, plus my team in the FBG contest (not eligible for prizes). It was David Garrards injury in week 7. I lost my contest team by 3 points. I lost my No Mercy league game by 2 points, and lost a playoff spot because of it. I lost a local redraft league by .4 points, and that also cost me a playoff spot.

But any of us can selectively pick out a play here and there that benefited us. There are also similar plays that went in our favor.

It doesn't make it feel any better though. :rolleyes:

 
I lost by one point yesterday and there were numerous reasons why.

1. Chris Henrys only catch of the day..a 52 yard bomb against me

2. I have Edge, he can`t punch it in from the one on two tries, the guy I am playing has Warner and he throws a fourth down 1 yard TD. 10 point swing.

3. The Saint run two in, they have been passing them in the last 8 weeks, I have Brees, 1 more TD pass I win.

4. Hassleback fumbling with two minutes left with the Seahawks in FG range. I have Josh Brown.any FG I win.

5. KJ getting zip..1 point from KJ would have won it for me. I had the tiebreakers.

6. Chris Cooley getting only 1 point.

Add these things all up and I lost by one point! :lmao: :hot: :moneybag: :lmao:

It was a bitter..bitter loss.

Agreed! 4 leagues, 2nd seed in 2 and 4th seed in 2. Obviously there were more good plays than bad, but they are more easily forgotten. Still alive in all 4 leagues, although could be out in 1 or 2 of them after tonight. At least 2 Championship games next week, I must say fantasy football has been good to me this season regardless of whether the other 2 teams lose tonight. More $$$ would be better, but I ain't complainin'.
 
Almost simultaneously TDs by Samkon Gado, Greg Jennings and Hines Ward put me from 20 up to fifteen down. Late Hass and Stecker TDs brought me back to within five but in the afternoon LT2 turned it up and my guys (MBIII and Gates) went lame. That's when I knew I was done.

Favre and Jennings go down on my "hates his guts" list. Last year, Bulger (to) Jackson also made that list.I hate FF.

Braylon Edwards touched down on the long touchdown and gets up and runs it in.....gave my opponent a four point lead and gave the another team a 27 point lead when I needed them to lose to get in. THe opponent of the team leading by 27 has Brady and Moss.

so......this is how close I was!

Housh dropped TD on my team

Watson two dropped TD's vs team I needed to lose

Moss dropped TD vs team I needed to lose

Vrabel dropped TD vs team I needed to lose

Any of those guys catch the ball and I'm in........Moss and Brady put up 24 total and the team I needed to lose wins by 4 and has since gone to the championship....

FF sucks sometimes.

 
Missed out on the playoff by 1 game.

Lost a game by 2.6 when Chicago tried an onside kicked and had it returned for a TD. You lose 3 points for ever 7 points your defense gives up.

Lost a game by .8 pts when McNabb got injured in the first half after turning the ball over twice.

Lost by 1.2 the last week of the regular season on the last play of the Cincy-Pitt game when Chad Johnson caught like 12 yard pass. 12 yards + .5 ppr = Loser.

If I had won one of those games I'd be ADP needing 6 pts away from the championship game. Instead I'm in the championship of the losers bowl.

 
Rocky McIntoshs injury, during yesterdays game against the Giants, after 3 Minutes.

Trailing bei 8,23 points in a 15/1 yards and a 1/0.5 tackle league and only ADP left, unfortunately the wrong one. Curses and missing out on the final. :thumbdown:

Hasselbeck to Branch with no time left has me down 45 instead of 27. I have ADP, Mcgowan, Winfield tonight so hopefully I can overcome it.

 
I posted this in the bragging thread. I thought it was ridiculous. I won by 1 pt. If we would have tied, I would have lost the tiebreaker, and lost the matchup. Lots of fluky things went my way.

* I played Peyton Manning, my opponent played Dallas Clark. Manning's 9 yarder to Clark put Manning above 275 yards for another point, but was 1 yard short of giving Clark enough yards to get a single point. If the pass would have been 10 yards, or if it wouldn't have happened at all, I would have missed out on that point, and lost.

* My opponent replaced Big Ben with Kurt Warner Sunday morning. Big Ben had 1 more point than Warner. Thanks, Warner for throwing a pick, fumbling twice, and losing one of those fumbles.

* My opponent played Tomlinson, who tore it up, but only played one half. Phewww.

* My opponent scored more points than me at the QB, RB & WR positions. I destroyed him at TE, K & DEF by 36 total points.

* The late touchdown that was called back against New England would have beaten me, since I played New England DEF.

* The missed field goal immediately after also would have beaten me since I played New England DEF.

* On the Jets last drive of the game, New England DEF got me a forced fumble, and 3 sacks, one of which came on the last play of the game with 2 seconds left.

* I played Witten. Romo's 4 yard pass to Witten on their last drive in the 4th quarter put me 1 pt ahead of my opponent and sealed the win smile.gif

 
Simple down only 4 points with cooley and buress playing last night, unfortunately they put up a whopping 2 points. Thanks collins and eli!

Should have started San diego defense instead of terrible seattle defense! Also thanks rudi johnson for the goose egg!

It was a tough way too lose! I hate marvin lewis and the weather in washington dc

 
ADP's injury and his ZERO last week . I thought I had the best team too. Once Sjax came back, he and ADP could have been a great duo

 
I missed the playoffs in my main league by .20 points and it’s all Byron Leftwhich’s fault!!

The game against the Titans when he took a sack on 4th and the game down by 7 points.

The guy who beat me started the Titans defense. Sacks are worth .50 in my league.

Byron you can’t take a sack on that play!!

Sure if he throws an interception I lose because interceptions are worth a point but at least I could understand that! You can’t take a sack!!!

The week I played Shaun Graham he kicked 7 FGs, and I lost by 1.2 pts. Week 3, I started Brees and his whooping 2 pts and lost by 6. Could have started either Garrard or Schaub and easily have won. If I win either of those games, I make the playoffs and I have a higher score than any of the playoff teams this week :thumbup:

Apparently lots of plays cost me the playoffs since I managed to only make it in one of five leagues this year. I was in the top 2 or 3 highest scoring teams in all 5 leagues, but teams just blew up when they played me this year. But the single worst thing for me this year was A. Johnson going down in week 2. In my biggest $$$ league I managed to be the 2nd highest scoring team without having AJ most of the year, but was out of playoff contention early. I still look at my roster on that team and can almost :thumbup: There is no way I don't dominate in that league if AJ had stayed healthy.

 
2-1-OAK 1 (8:57) 29-J.Addai up the middle to OAK 1 for no gain (54-S.Williams).

If I had to narrow it to one play, this is probably it.

 
Sharper INT at end of Monday night game. I lose by less than a point.

Worse - My buddy lost by 3 as Brian Westbrook kneels at the 1 for him.
