***Open Championship*** - Spieth v Kuch: not the matchup we deserve, but not the one we need either (1 Viewer)

Oh how I wish mike Carey were explaining this right now - about the only thing that could make this better

Taking an unplayable and can drop it as far back as he wants keeping line of sight between where the ball was and the hole.
then the trailers were all in his way so got to drop to nearest point of relief. took forever but probably the safest thing he could have done.

I'm only half joking when I say they should let Kuchar play through on his own after 15 mins of that nonsense. So unfair to him.

shot back but that could be a bit of a boost for Jordan

was that shot a half hour long? and we complain about TD-commercial-kickoff-commercial

well the hole took a half hour, right? I didn't time how long that ruling & shot took.

5 bogies today, +4 - handing it to Kuchar so far

got two par 5s coming up, gotta be aggressive to get back in this

I'll be shocked if Kuchar gets to double digits - figure Spieth needs to play the final 5 holes in 2 under to get into a playoff, (-3) to win outright

Wow. If he wins this thing they'll call his decision to take the unplayable as the reason he won the tournament.

So, would it be possible for a TV viewer to triangulate Spieth's drop to determine if the ball was really dropped along the line to the hole? And if so, does the R&A allow golfnerd losers to call in and influence the game?
