As Joe has politely asked some of us to take our behavior elsewhere, I'm curious to hear what options are out there.  Anyone a part of another community, whether FF based or not and want to share the pros and cons? 

For me, FBG pros:.

- long-standing group

- Has FFA section including political discussion.

- quality FF insight from members.

FBG cons:

- doesn't add new blood.  Shrinking headcount.

- can't add pics

- we're all expected to perceive androgynous, sexless beings.

Reddit is something of an alternative although it doesn't have a community feel to me. It's too large and discussions generally last a day or two tops before they are replaced by something else. If you want to have a lasting discussion with a select group you'd probably have to take it to PMs. Good for interesting content and anonymous interactions but lacking in other areas.

Forums seem to be dying for the most part. I've been part of a couple over the past 10-15 years. All but this one are basically dead.

I have been in one for the past 20 years. It has gotten smaller, but there is still a core group of 100 people. Started as a forum for the game HSX, but since split off. You can cuss there

Reddit and discord are great. Some subreddits are way too big to have any real community. Others are fun additions with a good group of people.

If filth is your thing, I hear a place called tiger droppings has plenty.

I've visited FFToday(no FFA) and "thefantasyfootballguys".. but both are once a month at most.. Neither have that community feeling.. Then again I've been here since old yeller so...

If looking for a true "FFA" messageboard there is always :e: , or so I am told

I stink at this. I’ve regularly posted on maybe erm... 5 sites including blogs in my life, really maybe 2-3 and the others were purely local. The people here are good, smart, varied, but not crazy and not too many in number so regulars are pretty recognizable. I also still want to read and talk football. FFToday is straight out nuts. Regular guys, sometimes very funny, but the community is even smaller than here, and let’s just politely say dull. Reddit otoh just seems too huge and it’s like Wild West with memes & embedded communities and whatnot. It’s hard to find a mix like there is here. Personally I think Joe made a mistake with Who’s Hottest and the PSF but overall he’s extremely involved and he’s built a site I really admire. It’s probably here or nothing for me.

I can understand getting rid of Who's hottest, the yoga pants thread and even "unattractive women you are attracted to".. But removing the "over 50 beautiful women" left me a little .. It was basically  an appriciation thread for women most of us grew up with.

Too much. Guys want to discuss women, it’s just a normal topic like home repair or funny stuff your kid says. That was a decent thread, I agree.
