Otis fad diet thread — yoga, fasting, and kevzilla walking on🚶‍♂️ (1 Viewer)

Went to the in-laws, ended up staying for dinner which I made for everyone.  Homefries, french toast, turkey sausage and scrambled eggs.

Had 1 spoonful of homefries, 1 turkey sausage, about 4 scrambled eggs with water.

The most calories I ate in two weeks today. 1700. Can't wait to weigh in tomorrow. Proud of myself. Long way to go obviously.

How did you ever get fat?   You're a rock.

I was out drinking for a portion of the day, I emphasize drinking bc it was some of that waterbeer(tm) we discussed earlier. My favorite waterbeer happens to be Coors Light.

Beyond the waterbeer, I stayed in check. Prob 2k calories on the day.

I'm actually starting to enjoy my new diet, I feel it can be sustainable. Outside of pizza, I haven't craved anything either and my cravings are becoming less and less. Tomorrow for dinner going to make a baked chicken parm & potato casserole side dish.

Just some bullet points on changes I've mad that I think can be sustained:

- House is consistently stocked with mango (amongst other fruit) bc that #### is delicious and loaded with benefits

- I've started to enjoy turkey bacon, no more regular bacon

- Egg whites instead of regular eggs

- Low-fat Swiss instead of provolone or American

- Low sodium turkey

- Homemade guac over store bought

- Broccoli / cauliflower with a drizzle of olive oil in the oven for 15-20 minutes

- Banana in the oven, slices, drizzled in honey and cinnamon

- Pita chips as a snack

- Fat free Fage yogurt with a teaspoon of honey

- Mustard instead of Mayo

I can simply do the above without any ridiculous gimmick stuff and be fine basically forever. I like everything there, obviously some sacrifices - of. Ourse I love applewood smoked bacon over some cage free turkey nonsense, but the turkey bacon still tastes pretty good and I can make the sacrifice.

Nope, at least your arms are getting a little bit of work and you don't have to wear gay bike shorts on the elliptical.  Spin bike > elliptical on the gay scale by at least a 2/1 margin.
I look spectacularly manly in my spandex.  Besides, my manly spandex allowed me to run a 2,000 calorie deficit today.  2 hours - 155 average HR.

Also, @fantasycurse42, I played with a copy of the FFA spreadsheet and made the top part of it into more of a dashboard view.  Feel free to steal for the official sheet if you want.  I needed to reacquaint myself with google spreadsheets and this was perfect (God, I forgot how awful they are).

197.0 today. @fantasycurse42

Attempting a 24 hour fast today.  Started last night at 5:15 right after dinner.  I hope I'm keto-adapted enough to get through it.  I almost instinctly licked the peanut butter of the knife his morning after making my kid here lunch sammich.  It was kind of weird.  Makes me wonder how many hidden calories I actually eat in the average day.

Today, Coffee, water, and Maybe some Mio.  No food until 5:15.

I thought you were ripped?  What are you 7' tall?
Was pretty ripped, picked up about 20lbs between September and December and now I'm in the process of losing it again.  I carry a lot of weight naturally, even skin and bones in high school I weighed 185 and I've got way more muscle now.

Happy with my results so far, but from prior experience, this is where things get hard.  If I can average 2 lbs a week I would be ecstatic. Need to stay on plan.

How did you ever get fat?   You're a rock.
When I go off the rails, the amount of food I can shove down my gullet is epic.  Before the holiday's I would go out for lunch and eat things like this:

1.  Burger King 2 for $10 whopper meal - Eat both whoppers, both fries and both drinks.

2.  Wendy's 4 for $4, get 2 of those for $8

3.  Garbage plates either for breakfast or late night snack.  I ate 2 of these at one sitting once.  Amazing

4.  Wegmans sub, Large 14" sub, assorted with Mayo on white roll.  Coke/md to drink and a bag or 2 of wise's onion rings or bbq fritos.

And just eating crap food when going out, met my buddy out before christmas at a local place.  20 wings sweet and sour (they make the crispy) served over mac salad and then appetizers of fried banana pepper coins and french fries.  All for me.

Also,  Frozen mountain dew from Speedway.  Everytime I'd stop for gas, I'd run in and get one of these, any size only .75 and they are so good. Looked up the sugars in that thing just now.  Woah.

At work early this morning. I'll have to weigh myself later today.

After fasting last week and then eating this weekend, it's going to be very hard to go back to fasting. But so far so good. And Saturday and Sunday I was able to stay below the caloric intake of 1900 calories for losing 2lbs/wk. Though I did have 3 pints of beer during the Cowboys game yesterday.

Well done.  I see you're still on target for 18% with a 2 lb / week loss rate the rest of the way.
Thx.  It's gonna be super tough here on out.  I have to switch to Thursday weigh ins for myself (I'll still post them on Monday to make it easier on FC) b/c I literally have 1-2 bigger event type things basically every weekend from now til the end of the competition....including Mardi Gras and a week long trip to Disney.  Been working out like crazy though to try to compensate.

You were headed down a dangerous path. Props to you for realizing and doing something about it. I'm rooting for you.

Yesterday:

The good: played full court basketball for the first time in several years. Played for over an hour. I actually wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be and I was drenched in sweat and wrecked afterwards. Love that feeling and I want to get back out there. Also kept my alcohol intake waaay down on the day given that it's playoff football and I watched it all day in my father in law's bar.

The bad: after basketball hit up brunch with the family. Went to a place with the killer antelope burger. Topped it with a fried egg. Left the bun on and got soup on the side. Then helped my wife finish her insanely delicious lobster Mac and cheese.

The ugly: everybody wanted Chinese food for dinner. Multiple items ordered. I tried to stick to the noodle soup but I lack will power when Mongolian beef and egg rolls are in front of me.

The reason I'm fat: afterwards my father in law ran to sonic to get dessert for everyone. He returned with my favorite. I couldn't turn it down. At least I didn't finish all of it. :bag:

Still out of town for three day weekend and no scale so will weigh in tomorrow.

Oh, and on Wednesday I start a four day golf event. Copious amounts of whisky and beer will be had.

@fantasycurse42

205.6 today.  I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks.  I am happy with those results but they are nothing compared to many others in this.  My hats off to those of you that are posting those impressive results.  Stay strong.  Keep doing what you are doing and good luck.

How tall are you/what's your target weight?

How tall are you/what's your target weight?
5'9.  Target is probably 160ish.  I'm in generally good shape, but my cholesterol has been creeping up over the years (around 200-220)...so I really try to hit the cardio hard (circuit training 2-3x a week).  But I do eat a lot of sodium heavy foods....so it's a delicate balancing game I play.

Maybe because I completely, utterly plagiarized his post and forgot to take out that part?

:bag:

I jumped in here just to see your post.  Doubt others even noticed.

I'd offer to play along but I douby my 0.6% / 1 lb loss since the new year means anything.
