PA Diaper Sniper Captured (2 Viewers)

Police are apparently are now searching the abandoned Buck Hill Inn Hotel/Resort. Frein was known to go there from time to time. Looking at the pictures, that place is enormous and really creepy looking now that it's abandoned. This has to be a policeman's worst nightmare. I can't imagine him not killing at least 1 more cop. He could be anywhere in that place, and unless they literally know the place inside and out, he could evade them for quite a while.

They have left Buck Inn empty handed an hour ago. I wonder if they have a clue as to where this guy is anymore......
Wow. Like someone else said, so much for a perimeter. The guy's probably half way to Chicago by now.
No way he's left that area. It's what he knows. The cops said they've seen him several times. I think he's enjoying this game of hide and seek.
I haven't seen anywhere where they say they have ever had a visual in the last several days. Where are you seeing this.

Thought there was at least one article that said they spotted him but it was at a great distance and in rough terrain.

I doubt they have any idea where he is. If he's found it's going to be via a random spotting by a civilian I suspect.
Probably when he heads over to Costco for some more diapers...

Agree. He won't leave that area. That's the advantage he's got. You don't plan for this for over a year and then leave your honey hole. I think he's just hoping cops get tired and give up. It'll be fall soon...the leaves will fall off the trees, and he'll be more vulnerable to the FLIR. Put that on a drone so he can't see/hear it, and you'll get him.

They should just fly over the area with a drone that piks up thermal.
Or how about a drone...one that can detect his heat signature!!!

But seriously...if they've got a Rook, they have to have this.

The perimeter was set up by CTU.

Frein has nursed an unspecified grudge against law enforcement and government in general at least since 2006, Bivens said.

In 2004, he was charged with burglary and grand larceny after police accused him of stealing items from vendors at a World War II re-enactment in Odessa, New York. He failed to show for his trial, and was arrested in Pennsylvania as a fugitive from justice, said Lt. Craig Gallow of the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department in New York.

Frein spent 109 days in a New York county jail in 2004 after police charged him with grand larceny for allegedly stealing uniforms and other memorabilia from a vendor at a World War II reenactment event. He ended up pleading down from a felony to a misdemeanor charge of possession of stolen property, because he agreed to pay $3,120 in restitution. A judge gave him credit for time served and released him after the sentencing hearing.

That's all he's mad about?

We've all kind of forgotten about the plane that just went missing. Surely, we can forget about this guy too.

Yes. That's where the Thin Man base of operations is.
Is he related to Slender Man?
Maybe he meant Thin Mint instead of Man. If that's confirmed, I need to get over there to look for him...and eat 10,000,000 Thin Mints.
I'm pretty sure he meant Tin Man. He's eventually going to rust out there.
But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man that didn't (didn't) already have.

I'd call off the search. It's obvious the ghosts got him if he went in there.
It's interesting because the other day they said they were searching the woods south east of Canadensis between Bear Town Rd. and Snow Hill Rd. Now this place is West of town. So much for maintaining a perimiter...
Now they're looking South East again... I really don't know if they'll ever catch this guy. At least not on their terms. I'm impressed at his ability to stay hidden. I don't rarely say that I'm impressed by a criminal, but from the looks of it, they're pulling out ALL the stops, and they can't get him.

Gotta love this quote:

Last week, state police said they spotted the police-hating wingnut in a wooded area, but he was far away and managed to give them the slip.

If you guys keep this attitude up I'm never going to teach you the secret handshake.

I'm pretty sure he meant Tin Cup. Be on the lookout for Kevin Costner.

I'm once again struck by how much manpower and law enforcement resources can be tied up looking for a single shooter. I first thought about this with the DC Sniper situation.

If an enemy of the US ever wanted to divert loads of law enforcement resources all at once they'd only need to have 4 or 5 different shooters operating around the country killing law enforcement or just random citizens.

That's kind of the police's job, though.

I mean, aside from killing black men.

I've said it many times before...this would disrupt American life far far more than blowing up a building or a landmark. Just start randomly sniping people at Starbucks or people at a youth soccer game or a farmers market. The economic impact would grow and grow.

Not disputing that, but there are a lot of law enforcement guys who've been taken off of other beats to carry out these searches. There's also a ####load of overtime getting paid right now. The costs may be hidden, but they're there.

You've just made a list, guy.

I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing this is all covered in their yearly budgets. I would think they would have certain amount of money earmarked for special situations.

Found bombs in the area.
As he has in the past, Bivens, who is spearheading the manhunts, had a personal message for Frein: "I am calling on you, Eric, to surrender. You are clearly stressed. You are making significant mistakes. We continue to take your supplies and your weapon stockpiles. While you are no doubt weakening our troopers' resolve is very strong. We are not going anywhere."
Do they think he has internet up in the woods? How the heck do they think he's getting this "personal message?"
