Packers vs Phili Thread (1 Viewer)

Thanks Billy1x for the info. I feel somewhat better now knowing we have at least 2 backs and Driver being OK to go. :popcorn:

Billy1x, did they say if the new RB Ryan Grant was there? Thanks again.
Not sure, he wasn't mentioned but John Kuhn is on his way and I expect both should be in camp tomorrow although I'm not sure if they are practicing tomorrow or not. Sounds like practices are going to be mostly closed to the media in preparation for next weeks game.

Morency and Jackson practiced today. Things are looking up.

Driver also (no limp)

Packer Update
darn it... guess I keep james jones on the bench.
I tought Jones would start opposite Driver since Jennings had a terrible training camp .
Just wasn't being thrown to, not having a terrible camp. He got more balls once he started complaining. Keep in mind that Jones so far has only played the flanker position and Driver plays the slot when Jones is in. I'm not sure the configuration if Jennings was hurt. Jones could takes Drivers position and Driver could move back to his old position (were Jennings is). OR they could just replace Jennings with Martin or Holiday.I expect we will see a lot of 3 WR sets this year and Jones will get his share of balls but thats speculation. Jones is to good to sit and the TEs aren't very strong.

Is he even going to start?

Last I saw, the Eagles were 3-point favorites. I think they should be getting 6 even on the road so that could become a very popular bet for folks heading to Vegas next weekend.

I would think so. He is a better blocker and has been playing well lately.

Grant was on the field. Kuhn will practice Monday.Interesting take on Morency from McCarthy Practice Notes

====

McCarthy said if Morency is ready to play on Sunday, he'll be used sparingly, perhaps in Herron's role as a third-down back, until he's able to handle a larger workload. "When he does play I won't look for him to play every snap," McCarthy said. "We'll use him as a role player and be smart with him. I'm not concerned about (his conditioning)."

More on Driver (from same article)

=====

Driver's sprained foot, sustained in the third preseason game on Aug. 23, continues to improve and the Pro Bowl wide receiver appeared to run routes Sunday without difficulty. McCarthy said Driver would be limited in practice all week, and a decision on his playing status would be made at the end of the week. Driver said last week he fully expected to be able to play against Philadelphia, and McCarthy said Sunday he remains optimistic.
