I am worried no other big networks are reporting this.Just reporting what I saw.Would be scary with Newman and Pacman.Wow. NFC East continues to get stronger. Excellent deal for the 'Boys. Not a bad deal for the Titans, although I'm sure they wish they could have received more.
Does this make Henry the nickel CB?I am worried no other big networks are reporting this.Just reporting what I saw.Would be scary with Newman and Pacman.Wow. NFC East continues to get stronger. I have editted the title pending more concrete proof-My apologies everyone.Henry would be the 3rd CB, but Newman would play the slot in 3 WR sets-not Henry.Does this make Henry the nickel CB?I am worried no other big networks are reporting this.Just reporting what I saw.Would be scary with Newman and Pacman.Wow. I have not heard that. I do believe JJ would not make a move unless he heard something making him believe Pacman will be reinstated before training camp begins. I doubt he goes blindly into this. That may be what is really holding this up.I thought the Boys would not make a deal until Pacman was officially reinstated first.
Pacman has been suspended longer than any player. In that regard, there's some good reason to believe his "sentence" is up. Goodell has been tougher than his predecessors on the players that don't behave, and that's the monkey wrench some are trying to figure out.I have not heard that. The people that replied back to me from the Tennessean and Titansonline said they had no knowledge that this was a done deal. The agent representing suspended Tennessee Titans defensive back Adam "Pacman" Jones denied an Internet report that said his client had been traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth-round pick.A report on Rototimes.com said Jones has been dealt, but Manny Arora said he has been told nothing of the kind."You would think the Titans would tell me they had traded him if they had," Arora said. The NFL owners are meeting in West Palm Beach, Fla., and sources said that management from both the Titans and the Cowboys have met to discuss a trade for the suspended defensive back."Right now I'm more concerned about the suspension; there are a lot of teams interested. Not just the Cowboys," Arora said.Arora said he plans to have Jones apply for reinstatement to the NFL shortly after April 10. That is the one-year mark of the league's new behavior program. The NFL has given no indication whether it will reinstate Jones, other than to say it will make a decision before the start of training camps
Sig bet?Pacman in Dallas, a match made in heaven. He will not make it 8 games before getting in trouble.
I remember hearing the same thing about T.O. How'd that work out? lolPacman in Dallas, a match made in heaven. He will not make it 8 games before getting in trouble.
Finally someone who is not a Dallas fan not dismissing this as a big mistake. It is refreshing to see non Cowboy fans not hating on them and that can see the value in this gamble. I guess a Super Bowl victory can change your perspective on things huh Yenrub? The guy is very talented and would be a big boost to the Cowboys defense and return game. As a Giants fan Pacman going to Dallas isn’t a good thing. The Titans have not done themselves any favors by telling anyone who would listen that they are done with him.
Super Bowl or not I still hate the Cowgirls (and every other team in the NFC east)Finally someone who is not a Dallas fan not dismissing this as a big mistake. I read that Tennessee originally put out the idea they expected a 4th rounder, but now they've decided that's not enough. They are suggesting a 3rd. I can't imagine Dallas is the only team interested. One thing that I read is holding up this trade is Lito Shepard. There are reportedly multiple parties interested in Lito. The Titans are hoping that, once Lito is moved, the losing pursuers will re-evaluate their interest in Pacman. A bigger market obviously helps the Titans as its reported that Dallas is the only interested party right now.
I'd say the odds are between "certainty" and "without question." He was a top-2 return man before getting suspended.Any chance he'll take kick returns?
Nice, looks like he'll be right after McGee at the top of my DB rankings then (IDP with return yards scoring)I'd say the odds are between "certainty" and "without question." He was a top-2 return man before getting suspended.Any chance he'll take kick returns?
March 31, 2008Yesterday we reported the Pacman Jones deal to Dallas was finalized, but the trade negotiations between the Cowboys and Tennessee Titans for the rights to cornerback Jones have stalled, according to ESPN. The Titans are seeking a fourth-round pick in this year's draft and another selection next year. The Cowboys are so far unwilling to provide two picks, believing they are the only team pursuing Jones, who remains suspended for violations of the personal-conduct policy.
If you don't know the difference between these two you have no business responding.I remember hearing the same thing about T.O. How'd that work out? lolPacman in Dallas, a match made in heaven. He will not make it 8 games before getting in trouble.
Im well aware of the difference, just pointing out the same exact posts were made 2 years ago about T.O.Phurfur said:If you don't know the difference between these two you have no business responding.Brutis said:I remember hearing the same thing about T.O. Actually the Titans are the ones without leverage. Fisher has already gone on record as saying that Pacman will not be back. No other team has shown interest. Every team that the Titans have tried to draw into the scenario as fake partners (Detroit and New England)has denied interest. If you are a bad team, why take the chance of signing Pacman? How many good teams feel like they have the foundation in place to support him? Do you really risk getting him when you know he wants to play somewhere else? The list of potential partners is really pretty small.Personally, I think Dallas sabotaged themselves with a super lowball offer. Once that was made public, and it looked like TEN was likely going to make the deal, I'm sure more than one GM made a few phone calls saying they could match or better it. At that sort of low cost, I'm sure Pacman started to draw a lot more interest.Jerry should have offered up something a little better upfront and gotten the deal done. Now he's actually helped to create a market for Jones and give TEN leverage while he has ZERO. For a smart businessman, that wasn't the smartest thing he could have done.
I think you underestimate how many GMs would gamble on Pacmans talent for a 5th + a player. Esp. a team like the Skins or Giants in Dallas's division. Or Al Davis. All it takes is one more team to jump into the running. If the Titans can't get an offer they like, the could still kiss & makeup. It wouldn't be the first time it happened in sports. Look at Arod. Heck, look at Ty Law. The guy made ad hominem attacks against his coach and still suited up and played.Actually the Titans are the ones without leverage. We will have to agree to disagree on this one. While I can see the Titans receiving a 5th and a Player, I think the player will be one that the team planned to cut anyway. If there were interest from other teams for Pacman, we would hear about it. There is too much media attention on it at the moment for it to remain secret. And yet they are still America's team. The star shines always.Just another reason to root for the Cowboys to extend their 3000+ day streak of no playoff wins.
Yeah he also said that the deal would be done by today. I will count that deal when it goes down.If Adam keeps saying the deal will be done in a week I guess the odds are he will eventually be right.Adam Schefter reporting on nfl.com says Pacman Jones has a restructered contract in place with Dallas already and that a deal will be consummated this week. Dallas offering a 6th round pick, Ten asking for a fourth. They will get the deal done this week he says.
No doubt about it. Good call. And yet they are still America's team. The star shines always.Just another reason to root for the Cowboys to extend their 3000+ day streak of no playoff wins.
Fortunately we Cowboy fans still have fond memories of all of many many Superbowl appearances and wins to help us during this time of famine and it will only make that next Superbowl all the sweeter.Just another reason to root for the Cowboys to extend their 3000+ day streak of no playoff wins.

Sorry, but bringing in Pacman will do nothing but tarnish the star even more. And yet they are still America's team. The star shines always.Just another reason to root for the Cowboys to extend their 3000+ day streak of no playoff wins.
TO was/is a sack of crazy that everyone knew would end up playing.Jones is a sack of stupidity that you don't know if he will even be allowed to play opening day.Im well aware of the difference, just pointing out the same exact posts were made 2 years ago about T.O.Phurfur said:If you don't know the difference between these two you have no business responding.I remember hearing the same thing about T.O. Now that PFT is reporting the Pack are showing interest in the Pac, maybe we can agree to agree.Tyrion said:We will have to agree to disagree on this one. Actually, while PFT was good about breaking FREE AGENT signings earlier this month, the rest of their work has been garbage. They are reporting GB has interest based on nothing but their own speculation that Al Harris is 34-years-old and Charles Woodson is 32-years-old and they wanted to sign Randy Moss last year. Now that the big hoopla of free agency is over PFT is really desperate for stories right now and will resort to making things up now. No way is GB interested in Pacman, especially with their veteran presence of Farvre gone now.Now that PFT is reporting the Pack are showing interest in the Pac, maybe we can agree to agree. :(Tyrion said:We will have to agree to disagree on this one. Agree 100%. If the league deems him fit to play, then he should be playing in Nashville.Am I the only one that thinks Titans getting rid of Pac is a bad move? You would think Fisher could handle the situation. You're giving up a game breaking player..
That will not happen sense both sides have said they are done with each other. The Titans screwed themselves in that regard.Agree 100%.
