Panthers @ Dolphins (1 Viewer)

I just tuned in

Bush catching the ball well out of backfield

Daniel Thomas in at the goalline and was stuffed 3 times (he actually fumbled on his 1st carry but it was called back because the Panthers had 12 men on the field)

Another back went over the top for the TD on 4th down

edit to add it was Lex Hilliard that scored

Bush looks very impressive tonight.

Let's keep in mind we are playing a team that did have the #1 overall pick.

OL is pass protecting well. Henne is checking all his reads, locking onto Marshall first. He looks much better tonight thus far.

Newton IMO has big time elite potential. He can really develop into a dual threat QB.

Didn't like Thomas in the GL set at all

1stD-Over the top from the 2 0r3 and fumbled

2ndD-Ran hard and stopped at the GL. Ran good

3rdD-tiptoed into the line. Visibly upset Sparano appeared to mouth "run the ball"

Should have let Bush take it in after that drive.
Yep...they will learn. Bush is actually a great red zone RB.Bush is looking like a man on a mission. I am just leary of him being able to stay healthy for 16 games. Also the Panthers are really bad. Their DL is getting manhandled by our OL thus far.But a nice showing for the Phins so far. Henne looking very confident tonight. The local press is doing everything they can to create a QB controversy with Matt Moore. Ain't going to happen. If Moore became our starter we are in even bigger trouble than I already think we are with Henne.Although I am down on Henne and feel he is not the answer I am behind him and want him to succeed. I hope he can prove me and a lot of Dolphin fans wrong this year.

eh, i think a lot of bush's red zone and inside the 5 success was a product of payton's creative usage of him. im skeptical of him in a more traditional role. ofc, the obv solution is to instill goal line plays that bush will thrive with.

Again the same problems are dogging this team. We can't finish drives. Dumb penalties, and a run called on 2nd and 15. Although it's only pre-season it is the same BS with this team. Murtha (filling in for Jake Long at LT) has 3 penalties on him tonight.

10-0.

This game should be at least 14-0.

Clyde Gates ran by their FS and was in the clear but Henne overthrew him. Second time in as many weeks this has happened. But I can already see Gates opening up the middle of the field for Marshall and Bess. He is a key draft pick and hopefully can develop into a legit deep threat.

Henne though has really looked good. His pocket presence so far has been a 180 from last year. He is feeling the pressure much better, moving around, making quick decisive decisions.

Keep it up Chad!!!

Really nice play by Henne on a bad snap. He recovered and got off a nice pass to Fasano.

I guess we got no choice but to drink the kool-aid.

Henne looks great tonight.

Had a shotgun snap go a tad high on him....kept his composure, felt the pressure rolled to his right and found Fasano for a huge gain.

What I am most impressed with his is pocket presence. We did not see this at all last year.....it was a cluster #### in the pocket last year. He had no feel at all.

Looks like a different QB tonight.

But again. It's pre-season...and it't the Panthers.

Let's see Monday night at home vs the Patriots. Then we can talk about if we have an improved QB.

Henne for another great scramble!!!

Wow he is really slamming the door on Matt Moore tonight. Tired of reading all that crap in the paper this week.

Daniel Thomas ......TD. 4 yard run.

Good match for Henne to gain some confidence. Bush looks good, some speed really has been lacking in the backfield.

I think the opposite. He was underused. Bush is really good going over the top. Combined with his ability to get to the corner and catch the swing pass, it made him tough to defend there.
