Panthers WR (1 Viewer)

I was just crunching some numbers (ya I'm a geek) and noticed that for the past 2 years Carolina's #1 WR was the leagues #1 receiver!

Meanwhile Jake Delhome was the 6th ranked fantasy QB in 2004 and 12th ranked in 2005. He actually had a better year with Mouse than with Smith!?!

Delhome 04 - 242.9 y/g, 29 td, 15 int

Delhome 05 -213.8 y/g, 24 td, 16 int

I dunno, just thought that was interesting.

in 04 Colbert actually stepped it up towards the end of the yr giving jake 2 options

vs in 05 when it was Smith and then thats about it

with Key in the mix Smith will still be a top flight WR(if you search I know there are a bunch of threads on it)...but the one that will benefit the most is Delhomme

I think delhomme is the poster child for being able to wait til late on a QB

here is a link to a Steve Smith thread that i started LINK

there are more if you search

its all about the Defense. In '04, this team won 7 games and missed the playoffs with a bad D and alot of guys hurt, and therefore had to pass alot. Last year they played some D, ran the ball, advanced to the NFC title game, and werent forced to throw as much. What do you think the D will do next year?

Good stuff all of you guys! As a S. Smith owner (for the 4th year in a row) I couldn't be happier! Let's just hope he doesn't break a leg again like he did two years ago.
