Patriots vs Dolphins - Week 14 (1 Viewer)

It's kind of funny because the Fins screwing up the timing of that play actually helped it work there.

Usually teams stupidly waste the first pitch by doing it when there is still tons of space between any DBs and now you're already down one pitch man with no advantage gained.  This time they screwed up the timing and the Stills couldn't get the 1st pitch out, which let him pitch it to that guy a few seconds later and actually create some space.

I am just calming down after seeing that live.......I mean that was simply the highlight of my NFL season. I was screaming so loud....my dog was shaking. WOW!!!!

They could have gone 0-15 but only getting a win like that vs the Patriots? I would take that. I would take 1-15 with a win like that.

MY GOODNESS!!!! The lateral heard around the world. Simply delicious!!!

Gronk has no business out there on defense in  his condition, at this point in his career. Classic Belichick smartest guy in the room nonsense.

a little dramatic. especially considering the rest of the AFC.
They are now very unlikely to get the top seed, could have almost clinched the 2 seed with a win, and will now fall to the 3 or 4 seed if they lose next week to the Steelers. This version of the Patriots is very unlikely to go on the road and make it to the SB. They are not a good road team this year.

Not gonna lie, Gronk has no chance vs Drake in the open field, but everytime I see the replay of him stumbling I laugh out loud.

Still a little dramatic.

In the span of a few minutes, NE went from potentially climbing into the top seed (KC was losing and then went to OT) to losing. Like I already said, now with a loss at PIT, they will fall to the 4 seed. That seems pretty dramatic in terms of possible outcomes that changed a lot on one play.

And given that NE is 6-0 with a +14 point margin of victory at home and 3-4 with a -2 point margin of defeat on the road, that one play could easily change the course of their season.

It doesn’t put an end to their Super Bowl hopes. Yes it makes it harder to have to go on the road but none of the teams in the AFC are really that good.

Hey just curious, but did they change the rule where you always had to try the extra point in regulation? Or did the Dolphins just kneel and it nobody noticed?

Neither are the Pats, their weakest team in years IMO
With a healthy Gronk, they have the best offensive skill people in years. Michel & White, Gronk, Edelman and Gordon. But away from home, they're not playing well. They beat KC earlier in the year at NE.

This play may be huge when it comes to fantasy football.  If KC beats LAC on Thursday and then NE loses at Pitt next week that means KC clinches home field and can rest their players week 16 on Sunday night football...........talk about turning the fantasy world upside down.

Ummmm when will the dolphins realize drake is the best player they have?
Drake has too many runs with negative yards.  He tries to hit the big play instead of taking what is there.  That isn't what Gase wants on a lot of early down carries.

He's no Ben Watson, that's for sure.

With the way the Steelers are playing, there is no way. And I say that knowing anything can happen at anytime, but you wouldn't think it would happen.

Lost in all of this was the fact that MIA actually had time to have their miracle play based on their defensive PI penalty. Had NE gotten a first down by regular means, MIA would have had to use their timeouts a play earlier and NE could have taken a knee at the end to win. It just seems odd that a team could benefit from COMMITTING a penalty.

Sure, there were 1,001 other things that NE did or didn't do that would have won them the game. It does seem odd that defenses could commit penalties to conserve timeouts or stop the clock if they didn't have any left.
