PDSL 2 - Teams and Discussion (1 Viewer)

QB - Romo (10), Redman (7), B Johnson (10)

Well, I grabbed Romo early and have him as the #2QB in the league next year. Backing him up is what I feel to be the starting QB in Atlanta. 10 TDs and 5ints in the last 5 games, which included a total crapper on the road against a hot Bucs team. Throw that game out, 4 games, 10 tds, 3 ints, 1050 yards... WOW! B Johnson protects my Dallas QB.

GRADE - A

HB - DWill (9), T Jones (5), Rudi (8), Leon (5)

Well, I took alot of heat for the DWill pick. I wanted Romo in the 3rd, so I didn't want to risk losing my #1 rated RB at the time. For me, it was already decided Romo/Dwill or DWill/Romo. Now if I knew for sure that he would have slipped to 4.7, I obviously would have done things differently. T Jones at 4.7 is GREAT VALUE with that improved Jet ground game. Rudi at 6.7 - I had Berrian penciled in here and backed out when I couldn't pass up what I hear to be a healthy Rudi in the 6th. Before the injury, guy was a first round pick. He's aging, so we'll see if this works out. Leon in the 13th.. okay, I'll say it again.. value AND insurance. I think this group has good depth actually.

GRADE - B-

WR - Randy (4), HinesWard (6), VincentJackson (9), Patten (9), Hardy (?), DJack (8), Chatman (8)

I couldn't turn down Randy Moss this year. Even with a 20% dip in production, still puts him #1 right? Unbelievable! Ward as the WR28 was WR28 last year and missed 3 games, so I think that's a decent spot for him. Considered VDavis here, but banked on Scheffler making it back. VJax was beastly last year, not a great WR3, but if they pick up where they left off, he'll outperform WR44. 18 rec 300 and 2 TDs in the final 3 games definitely stood out for me. Patten came up huge last year and on the Saints offense, I'll take a veteran. Hardy, DJack (thrilled about how late I scored him) and Chatman all have upside, but I'm not sure what else.

GRADE - B

TE - Crumpler (6), Z Miller (5)

Crossin fingers that Vince takes to Crumpler the way Vick did. Like what I saw from Miller last year. In the end, I considred a 3rd tight end over Romo's backup, but with what was left, I decided to ride with these two guys. Decent, but not good.

GRADE - C-

PK - Gramatica (9), Prater (8)

Saints offense and Denver's offense.

GRADE - B-

Dst - Vikes (8) Jets (5)

Love the Vikes this year. Jets added some playmakers as well.

GRADE - A-

OVERALL - B -- Decent squad with good bye week results. There were a couple times I turned down a player from a team I already had which is a MUST in this format before bye weeks are released.
Like your QBs and think Redman is under rated this year. Guess we'll find out on Saturday. Agree with your A.DWill was a huge whiff. I like your other RB picks. I see three RB2s here C at best.

I think you were conservative in grading your WRs and were a grade too low on your TEs.

Overall you did well despite reaching 2 rounds for DWill.
Aaah, I love these memories.... I took MORE heat for this pick than ANY draft pick I can remember. Having already committed my 3rd round pick to a QB, I COULDN'T risk NOT getting my top rated RB. Some say he would have slid to the 4th, I just couldn't risk it, besides, I landed T Jones in the 4th. I'll await my detractors...
LOLhow did drafting him in every league in 07 work out for ya?

BTW he has been rather studly this season.

I stand behind everything I said except the Redman comment. DWill has played to the level of a first round pick...still doesn't make drafting him in the first a good pick. Good call on pegging his breakout year and best of luck in the finals.

I drafted him in the 2nd because I wanted a stud QB in the 3rd. My thinking was there was a better chance of Romo being there in the 3rd than DWill, but I got them both. Still don't see what was wrong with that.
