Interesting strategy. 3 RBs before 3 WRs. Too bad none of the RBs are all that good.
i disagree, i have thomas jones and rudi johnson in WSL4, and i think both can be successful. rudi less so obviously, so i think 6.07 is pretty good spot for him, but i got him at 7.07 and thought he was a great value. thomas jones is a steal this year (mcfadden won't fall) and is a 1200 + 8td lock imo.that said, i still think a WR here might have been smarter, but what do i know i'm a noob

Have actually quite a few options here, but the upside here intrigues me.

6.08: Bernard Berrian, WR, MIN

can be succesful, sure. How is he a lock for 1200/8 when he hasn't reached that in New York yet?

Assuming he's the starter next year (which I think he will be), he's probably good for 1200 total yards, but at most 6 TDs - but that's high end.

i do too, had him written in my post for 6.01 but then i got a porterhouse.ok replying too muchon this ####, especially when i dont pick again for another 300 picks. afk!

You guys are really making this easy....

6.14 Bobby Engram, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Easy to criticize? You already drafted Hasselbeck, so you are one of the few people who can guarantee a bye week conflict, your bye week QB is going to be weaker because the two people behind you at the turn almost have to take a QB right now, you still don't have a RB2, and your top three receivers in Holt, Colston and Engram all have a bad tendency to disappear for long stretches at a time.PS I sent you my picks for next round.

Really not worried about a bye week issue with WR3. It's not like I won't have several more WRs.Considering he's the likely #1 target for Hass and he was the #11 WR in this format last year, and Hass loves him, getting him as a WR3 is a huge steal.

Or are you just upset you didn't get him?

You really think a 35 year old WR who, coming off a career year, who has been plagued with injuries and not playing a full season, and who other than last year has never even cracked the 175 pt mark is going to do that well again? Awk.

Do I think he'll necessarily match Top 12 performance again? No.Do I think that he'll match his YPC and catch % that he's averaged for the past 6 seasons? Yes.

He has caught at least 67% of his targets for six years running and stays right around 12 YPC.

The only questions then are the number of targets and his TDs. Since I believe he'll be a starter for Seattle, he should have 90-105 targets. That should get him 60-70 catches and 720-840 yards, with a good likelihood of 5-7 TDs.

I'll take 65-780-6 from my WR3. That's 179 points in this format.

6.13 - BassNBrewJulius Jones
Boy did he slide. He was on my short list at 5.1.
He was a consideration for me in the 4th and 5th. Why did you pass on him? I figured that the starting RB in Seattle would have value...then I looked at what he's done behind a good line in Dallas. From there Jacobs starting looking attractive. Soon I came up with enough options that it just made sense to wait and see what slid.

For me the question is whether he'll be the workhorse or a cog in RBBC. Seattle was the 20th best rushing team in 2007, while Alexander played 10 games, mo-mo started 6. Is Jones going to be better or equal to them? I honestly don't know, Alexander started alright, then was never the same after week 4. I don't think Jones is quite as good as Alexander at the start of the season, but he's probably better than SA played from week 5 on. My guess is this will be more of a split than I would like, but Julius could put up some decent games. Good value, but not a guy I'd want to rely on as my RB2. (then again, I had worse in WSL4)

Prior to last year,He had 65 catches once in 7 seasons. He had 780 yards 0 times in 7 seasons (but he did have 778 once so we'll count that as 1).He had 6 TD once in 7 seasons.I would not be so willing to give him the season you are giving him pretty non-chalantly. It seems reasonable, but I would be somewhat surprised if he did that well.

You're leaving out the part where he wasn't a starter those years. The bottom line is he catches 2/3rds or more of his targets. If you see him as a starter, 6 or 7 targets a game gets you 100. That seems very reasonable.
