Asked this in the Five Guys Thread but a discussion about neck shaving monkeys, candy corn, and gourmet grass fed $5 burgers broke out.

I have been to some TX Roadhouses and Five Guys where throwing on the floor was acceptable and others where it got you snarky looks. The dive bars and restaurants in these parts let you toss them wherever. Just curious if peanut shell littering is common or if I'm just an ####### who likes to make a mess.

I would never think to throw my garbage on the floor unless it was one of those places where throwing peanut shells on the floor is the gimmick.

This.

If the floor is coated, do it. IF there are only a few, ask the server/bartender.

I'm not asking the bartender if he minds if I toss my trash on the floor.

Just look around, if you're not sure put them in the bucket when you're done.

I can't even bring myself to do it in places that encourage it.

I know the wait staff is going to have to do the same amount of sweeping whether I participate or not, but I don't care. Not doing it.

The Logan's Roadhouse around here just started putting a second bucket on the table for shells. After years of throwing them on the floor, I can't quite break the habit and still wind up throwing about half of them on the floor. I would feel bad about it, but by the looks of things most people don't even go that far. Pretty dumb idea IMO to try to change after years of chucking them...
