Peyton Hillis (1 Viewer)

Hillis looks to be recovered from his ankle injury. The way KC used Droughns in his absence shows that they recognize the need to complement Charles. A healthy Hillis could definitely be a GREAT complement to jCharles.

He may not be on many wires, but he is on ours so Im thinking hard about it.

Obviously a bye week flex play at best. But with the number of carries Droughn has seen, Hillis could do as well, esp around the goal line.

Thoughts?

I'm holding him in my dynasty.

He showed he could get it done in a less than stellar offense, but I have to admit that I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best as far as his career goes. IIRC his contract is up at the end of the year for KC. I don't know that I would consider him as anything more than a RBBC kind of back, but I'm holding out hope.

You mean Shaun Draughn and not Reuben Droughns right?

..and yes, I stashed him away incase the Hillis we once knew and loved from Cleveland returns.

what more does Hillis have to show everyone? he is obviously a tremendous malcontent! I give him 10-15 carries before he injures his labia or starts complaining about his contract!!!

I saw him on the wire and picked him up right away. Can't hurt to roster a guy that could be a TD vulture with potential for 10-12 carries

Sure, he has some residual value IF healthy. But almost certainly not a difference maker, even if Charles gets injured because the status of the teams winning record and the status of Hollis' contract likely suggest if Charles is out, then they are going to heck out what they have in the other guys and if Charles is in, then there is not much work for Hillis.

They're only 2 games out of 1st place in the division. Regardless, I think they are going to play whoever helps them win games. GM and head coaching jobs don't grow on trees.

Currently his value is only as a must-have handcuff for Charles. If Charles went down I think Hillis makes a decent #2 with their upcoming schedule.

Could be wrong, but I believe few, if any, teams brought him in to visit during free agency. Speaks volumes about what the league thinks of him, and that he was a flash-in-the-pan.

Man did he flash and burn. Totally won me an inaugural dynasty season championship in 2010, though.
And reporting from the OTHER side of that fence...I hate guys like this. I had a team on a tear in 2010 and needed a win to secure a bye week. I run into this clown and he goes OFF against the Panthers or Jags or someone like that and I end up playing in the first round of the playoffs and get beat when Arian Foster has the crappiest day of his life (up until last year's playoffs agains the Vikes when he did it to me again..that's another story).

Anyway, did nothing before...did nothing since..but that ONE TIME he crossed my path he made his otherwise completely forgettable 15 minutes in the NFL etch a painful memory into my head. LOL

Giants are just looking to set a record for the number of RB's to play in a game this year for a single team.

I think he has plenty left, but he looks too injury prone to be a reliable feature back. Also he needs work to be effective. In KC he was a change of pace, short yardage specialist. That's not what he is at his best. I suspect unless there are a rash of injuries he won't show much and will be a gypsy once again at the end of the season.

heard this story great to see the updates that he's improving hope he turns out ok, and also that he saved his kids and they're ok. a lot of times these stories don't end up with the people drowning getting saved.
