Ok, now I'm really confused HK.

#1)

Are you saying we SHOULD NOT look at what's he's done previously, to figure out what he's likely to do these next 2 games?

~ Or ~

Recent History >>>>>>>> Ancient HistoryMost people thought Randy Moss was still a Top 10 WR before the season....now he's WW fodder.

Same thing with Peyton Manning, he's been putting up QB12 or worse numbers for the past five weeks and people still consider him a starter.

So you do NOT want us to look at any of Manning's previous games, except for the few Manning games you selected? Is that right HK?

I agree with the post above. I am a Manning owner, and I can't think of a better scenario than what is comming Monday night. The Colts have to fight for homefield and Peyton should be pissed. All players have ups and downs during a season. I think I stand to benefit from the current slump.

Fish On!!

Aren't you the guy who said Gates wouldn't finish in the top 5 for TE's? Then you went :bag: .
Yes and no. Last time I checked, the season ain't over (except for the Colts), so Gates won't come close to a Top 5 season.
BTW Winslow would need to get 13 ppg for the next 3 weeks and Gates get 0 for this to occur. Winslow has averaged 2.75 ppg over the last 4 weeks by the way. I digress.

First off, I want you to be happy.Second, I want you to follow the trends. If you think Manning's success in 2004 is a more relevant trend than what he has done the past five weeks, then that is your decision.

Third, please do not shoot the messenger. I have not hand picked his worst games and thrown out his good ones. I've simply looked at what he has done the past month and shed light on the fact that he been (at best) QBBC material in a 12 team league.

Peace.

Probably wasting my time responding here, but wasn't one of the games you're pointing, to all about the rushing offense for the Colts?Weren't there another two game in the ones you're wanting us to look at, where Peyton passed for over 300 yards?

So it's really just one game, Peyton's game against Philly in week 12 where he passed for less than 200 yards, that you're wanting us to pay attention to (except that's the game where the Colts had their rushing game take over) and from that we're to figure his last two games of the season will be bad, as far as fantasy scoring goes.

Right. Gotcha. Pointless thread.

OK, it appears to me what you are saying is that Manning's numbers have been circumstantial for a five week period. However, the reality of the situation, is that he only has 5 TD passes in as many weeks. Leagues that I play in only award points for actual production, so the reasons don't really matter. His numbers are excatly as I have stated. That means where we differ is you seem to think he'll turn it around, where as I don't because he has had good match-ups the past five weeks and he hasn't gotten it done. I've seen nothing from the play calling or his performance to expect otherwise.

So I take it you're in a TD only league, get no points for yardage, expect the Colts to use the run game almost exclusively for their next two opponents & think Manning's previous 136 games were a fluke?

1) So I take it you're in a TD only league, get bonus points for yardage, 2) expect the Colts to use the run game almost exclusively for their next two opponents 3) think Manning's previous 136 games were a fluke?
1) Yes2) Yes3) No, but circumstances & Manning's performance have led me to expect very little from him the rest of the season

I'm sure this is just a H.K. fishing trip.....but I'll respond anyways. Manning's performance against the Bengals this Monday will propel many fantasy owners into their FF Super Bowls. 320 yards & 3 TD's....book it.
 He hasn't thrown 3 TD passes in three weeks.....I'd be shocked if he threw one.
On this note, I officially declare this unworthy of our Shark Pool.
