Peyton Manning (1 Viewer)

Can't believe you spent this much time disproving an obvious fishing trip
hint: it's all from the same thread.
Spending one second of your time responding to Uncle Buck seems like a waste of time...........
fanboi - Someone who is hopelessly devoted to something and will like anything associated with their particular thing.
I don't subscribe to FBG.............
didnt you just say " Spending one second of your time responding to Uncle Buck seems like a waste of time........... " five mins ago? Then you respond to me, if you're going to troll someone for responding to me at least make sure you don't respond either
Admittedly I have nothing better to do right now. Responding to your idiocy doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
lol you just responded to me again

remember when bloom said Cruz was just a fluke WR and "trade him while you can" lol. As for me posting material, no thanks, Fear and loathing posted material better than FBGs own staff and was run off by the site owner.
Run off by the site owner, hired away by a competitor... basically the same thing, right?F&L called Knowshon Moreno a top 10 dynasty RB and argued until he was blue in the face that he wasn't overdrafted, and that he absolutely had the burst to excel at the NFL level. The only people who never miss calls are the people who never make calls.
yea bugging the guy about arbitrary nonsense regarding his sig isnt running him off? No doubt if you make calls youre going to have misses but my point is FBG has way too many misses considering they are the top site for fantasy football. They need to use some of that money they havent earned and hire a more competent staff
The sig might have been the straw that broke the camel's back, but Wesseling was a ghost the moment Rotoworld tapped him. He just didn't have the time to devote here after that. FBGs has a hugely competent staff. Every year, Dodds' weekly rankings finish at or near the top of all the expert comparisons, and Bob Henry's preseason projections kill the competition. Sigmund is one of the best dynasty guys out there, and Chase and Drinen are on point with stats (and provide those ridiculous databases, which I say every year are worth the price of subscription all by themselves). The only people who do more prospect scouting than Waldman are all on The payrolls of the NFL or a major scouting service. Lammey's insider access is invaluable. Maybe the staff has become bloated, and maybe the brand is hurt by having staff members provide analysis outside of their areas of strength, but I contend that some of the information provided here stands out as the best in the industry. At the moment, you just have too know which information. The problem isn't that there aren't enough smart, competent people, the problem is there are too many of them, and they dilute the brand.

You might not realize this but you said a few lies. Number 1 Bloom isnt good for dynasty thats a fact, he had WAY too many missesNumber 2 Lammey's inside access is worthless if he misleads us on Peyton, in fact its actually harmfulNumber 3 You implied theres a lot of equally competent people without there being top guys when that isn't true at all. With FBGs resources its lazy/ cheap of them not to hire the best staff money can buyThe only truth you really told is saying "Maybe the staff has become bloated"Naw, you think? 50 articles come out per week only 2 of them people bother to read.Btw since you mentioned Dodd idk if you're aware of this but there are sites that show all the top rankers projections each week for freeSo why should anyone subscribe to FBGs for drafting ? oh yeah, to be told A Morris isn't legit even though it was clear to anyone that actually watched the preseason games he was, instead they just parroted what the other "competent" people said. Lazy.

Serious question, are you trying to get a job with FBGs ? The way you are arguing for trash makes me think theres an ulterior motive. Maybe thats the problem with FBGs staff, they hire based on their buddy buddy trait instead of knowledge

You may not realize this, but the word "lie" implies malice aforethought, so if I didn't realize it, it wasn't a lie. Bloom is money for dynasty. The best FBGs has, one of the top 3-5 guys on the web. He has misses, yes, but he has hits, too. Same as anyone. He doesn't skew too high on youth, but he doesn't ignore it, either. Good eye for talent, good weight placed on it. Very solid, all around. He's no Wesseling, but no one is except for Wesseling. Lammey said a lot of things about Manning, almost all of which were overwhelmingly, glowingly positive, many of which have been reported in this thread. You heard one comment and assumed Lammey was down on Manning. You assumed wrong. Lammey was always there telling everyone to calm the hell down while Manning struggled in preseason, saying he was way further along in his recovery than he looked. Lammey said all that "can't throw to the left" stuff was nonsense. Lammey's insider access was on the money. I never meant to imply there were a lot of equally competent people. I think the entire staff is competent, but certainly not equally so. As for why someone would subscribe for drafting... I won't speculate. Everyone has their own reasons. As I mentioned, I subscribe for the databases, although getting Dodds' and Henry's preseason predictions as a 2nd and 3rd opinion is a great bonus. Also, seeing weekly projections (instead of just the cheat sheet available for free elsewhere) allows me to tailor to my specific league scoring rules. Although that, too, generally just gets used as a second opinion. To answer your question, no, I'm not sucking up to get on staff. I've been here 10 years, and most people can tell you I'm not much of a kiss-###. The fact that I've been here 10 years suggests I've found some value. If be remiss if I didn't expound on what that value was while letting you rant and rave because you're all upset because one 3 second comment made on one podcast by one staff member 3 months ago cost you your league or something.Edit: serious question for you. If it was so obvious that Peyton Manning was going to be a stud, where were you with this 3 months ago? It's a bold prognosticator who tells us all how smart he is by revealing his successes only after they've come true.

"Bloom is money for dynasty. The best FBGs has, one of the top 3-5 guys on the web"The fact Bloom is the best FBG has for dynasty says enough about FBGs product. They should have hired Wesseling instead of bothering him about his sig lol"Lammey said a lot of things about Manning"I don't care if he said Manning looked like he was in the best shape of his life the fact is he said Manning wasnt going to throw a lot and wasn't going to be a top fantasy QB. Its a miss. A big miss."If it was so obvious that Peyton Manning was going to be a stud, where were you with this 3 months ago? It's a bold prognosticator who tells us all how smart he is by revealing his successes only after they've come true."If you were reading this thread you would see I already said I stated I thought he was going to be a top QB in the audible chat, which I was mocked for almost by the parrot staff that is FBGs. Now, if you don't believe me then thats a different story

We've seen Peyton battle through injury, but the real question is can he battle through the dreaded Thursday Night Offensive Production Curse that is going through the NFL this year.

Then we will see if he's truly "Back".

http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=670995 hmmm, site owner bragging about making money on fanduel against people that most likely use FBGs rankings. I wonder what the correlation is here

Call me paranoid but FBGs being the most popular site could pretty much control who people start on fanduel, yet the staff use it. Seems like it would benefit them to give out poor information like they often do

You are begging for a suspension.

Which do you think generates more revenue for Dodds, FBG subscriptions or fanduel leagues?
