I think it needs to be said that the much maligned Trai Essex and Max Starks did a whale of a job in pass protection yesterday. Against a line as vaunted for its ability to pressure the QB as Chicago's is, Brown and Ogunleye were completely neutralized by Essex and Starks. I think at one point late in the game, they showed a graphic that said Roethlisberger not only hadn't been sacked, but was only hit once and rushed once or twice. That's absolutely HUGE, and those two tackles deserve a TON of credit for that. With time to throw, Ben was picking the secondary apart, which softened the defense up, allowing the Steelers to rush for about 200 yards.
Kudos also to Ken Whisenhunt, who I thought did a phenomenal job in playcalling yesterday.
