It is time for a new regime. I am so sick of seeing this franchise "competitive" and tread water. I'll gladly take a new coaching staff, some rough years and some foundation draft picks, for a shot to start over and arise anew.

They haven't made a serious playoff run since '08.

Thank you, this is my point. We're "on the bubble" and "close" but not built for a serious run now or in the near future. I also hate hearing how "other cities would kill to have Reid and do what the Eagles do." Oh yeah? Take him, his staff, and his game plans. Have fun watching Reid consistently take a team to 8-8, 9-7, 10-6 and not have the intangibles (coaching) to get a Lombardi.

Does it matter who , why do we need names at this time??

who was Coach Tomlin??

or McCarthy????

I am so sick and tired of the friggin announcers lauding the great coaching job that Big Red does, really, are they watching the same games that I am ??????????????????????????????????????

Same thing happened with McNabb and all the other Philly guys. They perform decently but b/c it is Philly, all of their success is overblown on the national stage since we are a big media market and when they play poorly, it is just Eagles fans being grumpy. Reid firing will finish up just like the McNabb trade, a positive for the Eagles. Just like getting rid Pence, Victorino, Werth, etc. We may be harsh fans but we know the sport and we see through these guys numbers.

Andy Reid and the Eagles are 11-16 in their last 27 games. Show that stat ESPN. Keep harping on his 6 years of success from 1999-2004. What's his record since? Show that one.

I don't care what Andy or anyone says, you don't just have your son die a tragic death and go on with life like nothing happened. Andy is going through the motions right now and it shows on the field. This team plays like it doesn't have a clue. He just needs to walk away before it gets really ugly.

This guy's play calling is just absolutely brutal. Leave it to Andy Reid to take out his best playmaker when you're on your opponent's 8 yard line and it's 2nd and goal to go. Not once, but numerous times. Simply stupid and ######ed.

I've been informed he's a tremendous coach. Easily one of the top 5 in the league and you Philly fans are simply an ungrateful bunch.

We're so ungrateful. Can't believe his success 8 years ago doesn't grant him lifetime immunity. I mean 8 years...that's almost relavent in NFL terms.

Great point.

it's funny: i sat there watching the game and looking at the offensive line tonight and thinking 'i wouldn't be surprised if he gets a reprieve because of all the injuries.' yeah, lurie said what he said about 8-8 but when you lose 80 percent of your starting OL, it makes things kind of tough.

The comparisons with Holmgren at the end of his coaching tenure are more than just a physical resemblance.

Playcalling is a disaster, loyalty to vets is killing the team now and going forward, and the sheer overall aura of stubborness is frustrating the fans still further.

They came out of the same coaching tree and earn a living with someone else's system. When that doesnt work there is no plan B.

I say you keep him for another 5 years.

Edit: On a serious note, does anybody know why my emoticons don't show up? They show up fine when I'm composing a reply.

You are right. The Cowboys and Jerry Jones are still riding the 3 Superbowls from over 15 years ago. Haven't been relevant since

Honesty, right now I don't give a crap what going on in Dallas. I'm an Eagles fan and our team stinks. Dallas can deal with their own problems.

For who? Marty Morhinwhig... don't make people laugh. Might as well brace for the storm. It's the same thing as in KC. There is just no one on that staff that would be good for the teams progression.

its very simple. when you have a terrible offensive line, run the ball more, run screens to your rb, slants to your wrs and bubble screens to both maclin and jackson.

Missing 4 starters on the oline. Lombardi couldnt fix that.
That explains it! Now, what happened last year? They are 11-16 over the last 27. Andy just fired our best offensive line coach because he couldn't run a defense - now the O-line is a problem. Crazy, huh?
Not an Eagles fan, so I can't speak to their history, but the match-up that decided last night's game was clearly (lack of) OL vs N.O. D-line. In the NFL, every weakness is exploited, and this goes way beyond a "weakness".

Agree. So maybe they should call plays that mitigate the damage. Like continue run your RBs when they clearly can't stop it, instead of going to the pass when you're in red zone. The Eagles moved the ball at will, just couldn't score. 4 times they had 1st and goal and netted -1 point (7 the other way and 2 FGs).And when your O-line is clearly struggling, don't go to an empty backfield and take 7-step drops. And stop the stupid shovel pass! Its the ONLY play they run from a split-back formation! Gee, you think the Saints saw that one coming?!Yes, the O-line's bad. Its the HCs job to find ways to make it work. Especially when you're considered a great HC.

wasn't last years reprieve - injuries and training camp? :excited:

He's significantly under manned right now, but that's also part his fault. His line is decimated, the guys out there are awful, his over paid defense doesn't tackle or really defend anyone, Vick has been molded into a QB he is not, the deficiencies on offense only make Vick look worse - misfit for the issues around him, the red zone offense is just plain awful, and the biggest knock on Reid for years is that his worst day of the week is Sunday - it seems to be getting worse.

Problem for Eagles fans, it would be 10x worse if Foles were in there. This whole ship needs blown up and started from scratch.

I think it's time for him to move on, but at the same time I think he'll go to a new team and be a success. Personally, I'd love to have him in Carolina.

Well O line was a problem for a few years recently. I was never sold on Juan being this all seeing eye of offensive line guys like the media labeled him. Problem is their ability to evaluate talent lately. either way get rid of Reid before he gets Vick killed

and yet alot of people want to see Foles in...lol. The league has passed Reid by, simple as that, because he is stubborn in his ways and refuses to adapt / change.

I thought Reid philosophy was supposed to be built around quick developing west coast passing attack. Blitzing teams would pay for the uncovered man and if the blitz was picked up you can go through read progression. Problem is this offensive line does not have to be blitzed to get pressure on the qb. If the Saints can pressure your qb with four man rush vs four and a rb or te then you cannot have an offensive philosophy. You just play out the string and the next regime gets a nice rb, possession wr and de. Will be interesting to see what the new gm next year will do regarding qb of the future.

I wonder what Lurie does. Roseman is a glorified accountant. He's not a personnel guy. Reid made all the player decisions and Howie signed them but Rosemen is still the GM by name. If Reid goes, does the new coach get all final decisions with Roseman still making the contracts? Guess we'll see.

When you have one of the Top 3 RBs in the game, you have to use him. Not run him once on an obvious run play and then let Vick drop back and get sacked and fumble. I miss the old playcalling with Westbrook's runs and screens that made this team's offense potent. Vick just drops back every down and it's obviously not paying off since he's got a myriad of turnovers to his credit.

Last night, the rushing attack was obviously working but, for some stupid reason, they would just go right back to several pass plays in a row.

I hear this a lot about the use of McCoy. After 9 weeks,McCoy is 5th in the NFL with touches per game.3 of the players ahead of McCoy have not had a bye week yet. I say McCoy gets plenty of work compared to his NFL counter parts.

TOuches

1. Arian Foster · HOU 204

2. Marshawn Lynch · SEA 198 - 9 games

3. Adrian Peterson · MIN 194 - 9 games

4. Trent Richardson · CLE 183 - 9 games

5. LeSean McCoy · PHI 176

6. Doug Martin · TAM 174

7. Chris Johnson · TEN 170

Darren McFadden · OAK 170

9. Willis McGahee · DEN 167

10. Ray Rice · BAL 162

He is 9th in the in straight rush attempts - with 5 players having 1 extra game in hand

1. Arian Foster · HOU 192

2. Marshawn Lynch · SEA 185 - 9 games

3. Adrian Peterson · MIN 168 - 9 games

4. Doug Martin · TAM 154

5. Trent Richardson · CLE 152 - 9 games

6. Alfred Morris · WAS 151 - 9 games

7. Stevan Ridley · NWE 150

Poor guy. 1 losing season in the last 11 years. No fan should have to put up with that.
How about an average of 8.7 wins/year over the last 8 years? With only 3 playoff wins?Look, we appreciate what he did all those years ago but his time is up. Team is clearly not responding to him and his decisions and game plans are increasingly mind boggling.

Over .500 per year? Only 3 playoff wins? Oh the horror. Philly fans......gotta love em.

So he's untouchable?Norv Turner hasn't had a losing season in 6 years in SD. They should stop complaining by your philosophy right? He's even had the same number of post-season wins in less time. Those darn SD fans don't know how good they have it!

These are the same trolls who called us out for being done with McNabb.

They all got quiet when McNabb was benched in favor of Rex and later Ponder.

I can see I stepped in to a hornets nest here. Philly fans are all lathered up. I'm a Packer fan so I'm quite content but I live in Michigan and most of my buddies have been loyal Detroit Lion fans. Lion fan says "quit your whining."
