In another thread, BB states that Andre Johnson and JJ Watt are Chance's two favorite players, so he is obviously a Texans fan. Does anyone know anyone who knows anyone affiliated with the organization? Can we used linkedin to try to contact someone in the organization to give the kid a great day of football (great tix/maybe meet some players/etc). If that doesn't work surely we could pool together some $$ to buy some great seats. Just some thoughts on a fun activity the FFA could realistically put together.

Guys. Thank you so much. At this point, it's not really a money thing. We have a friend who made contact with the Texans and they can get Chance a field pass for the St. Louis game next Sunday. The issue is whether Chance will be in a condition to go. It would be tough today, and his cancer is progressing very quickly. We'll just have to see where he is a week from now.

I'm sorry BB, I wish there was more we could do to help. I've lost so many loved ones to this horrible vicious disease, I think I gotta cry a little as well. Maybe everyone who reads this will now show a little compassion the next time it is being called for. I try but I know I still can go the other way at times. Hang in there BB, we're all sending our love and support.

Absolutely breaks my heart. Been wanting to pass along well wishes to you but have had a tough time opening this thread. Didn't want to see with my own eyes the bad news. All the thoughts, prayers and positive vibes I can send your way BB.

 
Besides your family, I will also be keeping his drs in my prayers. That they will have access to any treatment that is known, and perhaps by thinking outside the box, can come up with a successful plan.

Scientists and researchers too, so when they get this under control, future treatments can provide a cure.

We spent the morning at the hospital today and learned that because Chance's condition has deteriorated, there are no remaining treatment options. We are currently making arrangements for hospice care. We have family here in town and flying in from the west coast, so Chance will be surrounded by loved ones. Thank you all for your kind words of support.

I don't even know what to say. It all seems so trite under these horrible circumstances. I'll continue to keep Chance and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It's incredibly generous of you to keep us updated while you're dealing with all of this. Thanks for letting us all feel that, in some small way, we're able to be there for you while you are there for your family.

If there's anything anyone can do, I'm sure everyone would be glad to. In particular, if there's something I can do, please let me know. I'd be happy to do anything I can to help, though I have no idea what it might be.

I find I have nothing but tears. I can only wish for Chance to be comfortable and surrounded by love. And to hope that in some small way we are able to comfort you in this time.

If you haven't done it already this would be a good time to help him write an everything I love about my brother book and let his brother do the same. Get some positive thoughts out there and create something meaningful for both of them.

 
BB, I'm sad to hear you will have to endure this. As sad as it is for those suffering it is equally as traumatizing for the parents, there are no words that can express how bad I feel for you BB. And yet I know you are not looking for shoulders to cry on, you're strong and you will make it thru all of this, probably better than many around you.

This thread makes me cry but it also makes me want to do something extra nice for someone the next time opp presents itself.

Everyone here at the FFA loves you BB, you're in our thoughts and prayers.

I just took a phone call for work and I think I was about to lose my composure, the person at the other end asked me if I was OK once I started speaking after reading your post BB. Just so upsetting, I don't have words. I plan to hug my two sons extra tight tonight.
