Mad Cow

Welshers and Dawdlers Beware!
I have been a Y-axis inverter pretty much as long as you could do that. I have a feeling most older gamers, especially PC gamers will invert, but I don't know. Had a conversation with my son and another 16-yr old last night and they mocked my inversion of the Y. Wanted to see what was more normal.

Talking about in 1st and 3rd person games. I know flight games would definitely skew to inversion, but we are talking otherwise.

I've been inverting since I started playing on the PC in the 90's. Most of my friends think I am nuts, but I don't think the non-inversion is intuitive. I will never understand why some games give the option to invert the x-axis.

Great topic. Old gamer, about equal between PC and console. Invert everything flight or first person or over the shoulder 3rd. This has me thinking back and wondering why. I did do a lot of flight stuff.

Mostly a console gamer nowadays....I invert the Y-axis for every type of game. I'm 25.

It either started with old 007 shooters on the PS2, or with X-Wing games on the computer back in the day.

What's weird is my brother is four years younger, we grew up playing the same games together, but he thinks I'm a freak for inverting.

In my early 20s, basically gamed my whole life. There is no poll option for me :(

I hate inverted y-axis control. Hate it. I push up, of course I should look up. Anytime I've played a game on someone else's console or on a guest profile I get immediately lost and die and then pause ASAP to change the setting.

I don't understand why inverted is the default.

What a mess. I did it in a hurry this morning and left out four options. I am stupid.

40 yo console gamer and I always invert. Thought about just spending a day and force my brain to reinvert, but then who's got time for that?

Sorry, it was a mess, think I got it fixed. Did not change order since it would skew results.

I'm 44 and I used to always invert but now I just go with the game's defaults, and woe unto he who plays on my profile and changes the €#>|!! button layout.

Nothing better than playing COD and finding out the hard way your nephew remapped the melee button.

I can't play a game without inverting the y-axis. I honestly can't understand others who prefer it the other way... different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I thought the Xbox 360 allowed you to set your y-axks preference in the system settings and would automatically set up games that way for you. I think they did away with that withe Xbox One... that's a shame.
