Post NFL Draft 25 Survivor (2 Viewers)

Bro1ncos has the horses available to comeback.
OldMil has no byes this week and maybe some help coming back.
Harris can also post a big week.
Biabreakable gets a QB back this week but loses Hampton
OZ looking good this week
I'm done if Lamar doesn't play this week
Rene fields a full team
Ref is missing Jefferson but should be safe

Everyone else should be through.

Interesting that two of the guys eliminated in weeks 1-3 are in the top 4 this period. For those who argued that multiple weeks would remove the luck and help the top teams stick around, both Ryheaps and Nittany would have avoided single week eliminations in weeks 1-3.

Oh wow, we’re already into week 6. Time flies.

Considering I’m down to only cam Ward at QB, I won’t last long.

We lose @Biabreakable @bro1ncos @OldMilwaukee

Interestingly enough, if we stayed with the old rules, all six of the teams eliminated would still be around.

Please, please check my math here.

Summary of remaining teams for weeks 4 - 6

  1. rzrback77 507.8
  2. Bike Seat 493.3
  3. Renesauz 477.9
  4. Crippler 438.6
  5. St Ref 437.1
  6. Duckb 433.2
  7. MOP 425.6
  8. Bob H 408.4
  9. OZ 404.6
  10. Bass 387.8
  11. Biabr 379.5
  12. Old Mil 371.4
  13. Bro1nco 366.5

In accordance with the rules, the bottom three are eliminated and we move on to weeks 7-9 with the top ten

Also please confirm that dropping three teams is correct

Hold my beer.

more then one week eliminations gives you a better idea of the better overall teams/drafters.....I realize the concept of drafting knowing you can be eliminated any given week plays a factor....but it also increases the "luck" factor which any FF drafter (those in here) would probably like to eliminate... it sucks to spend 3+ weeks drafting and be done in one week....the best teams/drafters don't always win and weekly eliminations totally bring the "luck" factor into play....(Ie" your QB2 gets hurt when you QB1 is on a bye)....being able to recover from one unlucky week is kind of nice....just IMO.....I get that the "survivor" concept makes these leagues unique....but also makes people tune out once eliminated...so the thought that weekly eliminations "adds interest" to the thread is kind of a wash....or even the opposite...

Just my opinion, but it has become increasingly challenging to get enough interest to fill the survivors that all of us have so enjoyed through the years. Years ago, I would sign up for mock drafts, just to practice drafting, but have zero interest in that any longer. I particularly enjoy the drafts here at FBG in the Forums for several reasons:

  1. excellent practice because everyone knows what they are doing
  2. it challenges me to look harder at each position
  3. I enjoy the comradery that has been built up over the years - I consider y'all my friends
  4. competition is tough and again enjoyable
So, all these conversations here are important because we need to keep all the active folks engaged because there seems to be no source for new participants.

I see positives about both ideas. I think that most are more engaged with the weekly survivors because each week means more. But, spreading out the eliminations softens the bye week issues, depth and also injuries. Maybe, we should plan to do two drafts next year, staggered by three weeks or so and have one be survivor and one be like this one.

There are many ways to evaluate teams, I don’t really care one way or another between the 3 week or weekly eliminations. I like and see the advantages either way.

Sometimes the best teams if we judged on the whole season don’t win either way. Just as an example, I had the most points last year but eliminated in week 3. The top team by power rank was Go DC and he won anyway.

In 22, Clayton had the best by power rank and was eliminated week 10, whereas OM had the most points and won the league.
