Post Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups (2 Viewers)

Grabbed Murray for 17% of budget. Missed on Boone who went for 25%.

I already have Gordon, so just trying to grab shares of that backfield since I'm super thin there. If I could only choose two, I'd pick the two guys that I have.....which surely means Boone will start going off lol.

Pickens obv the top pick this week - but I don't think hes plug and play - he's going to have his own struggles - and so will his qb

I’m at the point where I want to drop Allen Robinson for Pickens. He’s an afterthought in the Rams offense.
I'd have done that 3 weeks ago. Who hasn't grabbed Pickens still? Short benches?
Someone got impatient and dropped him last week. Bye bye Allen.

Are people falling for Corey Davis again?
I did/am, I even shocked myself by having him favored over McKenzie(concussion). I'm willing to bet Davis turns into the preferred target, maybe 1a receiver for Wilson and they look like they have the best connection. Great bench depth for incoming bye weeks with room to increase in value since that was just Wilson's first game back.

Wandale Robinson and Tony are practicing today. Which one would you guys take a flier on. I'm leaning Robinson and already added him in a few.

Are we dropping Cam Akers in redraft?
I dropped Henderson, the manager with Akers is still holding.
Henderson is my next drop the moment I have to pull Dak or Brian Robinson from IR. Been trying to package Henderson to the Akers owner. Not even going for anything much...but Henderson and one of my WR3 types for a different WR 3 type I happen to like better...(and trying to free up a roster spot...) no dice.

I grabbed L Murray in 4/5 leagues. I put in what I thought was a modest bid of 11%. I was surprised to see the lack of interest. The big bids went for Boone 20-40%. Murray has a decent chance to end up being the Broncos main guy. They hate Gordon and might have cut him if Javonte didn't get injured. They were in the process of replacing Gordon with Boone even before Gordon fumbled again. The Broncos love that Murray doesn't fumble. He can play all three downs if needed. I think eventually we will see a three RB committee but I think Murray could get the goal line touches, third down and two minute offense work. I think Murray will be a nice flex/bye week replacement. On two of my teams I have Gordon so I can see how this plays out. Boones a cute little player but he can't block or catch. He may be good for a game or two but will mostly get just empty yards. Now watch Devine Ozigbo go off on Thursday night.

I sent Hendo to the Akers owner for TJ Hockenson 2 weeks ago. (He had Goedert).
Worked out well for last week at least.

What about people who panic dropped Cordarrelle? How long are we waiting to pick him up?

Good question. I have a feeling my league mate will drop him. Is he worth picking up right away?
Thank you.

Honest question; 12 team,. redraft, PPR: if both are available Elijah Mitchell or Cordarrelle Patterson?
Didn’t Patterson just have surgery? I thought he was placed on IR.

A lot of unsubstantiated speculation in here. They gave Gordon a ton of work, even when Williams was healthy, for a guy they hate. This will continue to be a 50% split at best. Gordon is the main back - coaching staff even said so.

Yes, they're both on IR. But, I believe both are scheduled to come back this season.

Both were cut and are available in some leagues, including mine. Just wondering if and how soon people are considering acquiring them.

”Obviously” Gordon is the main guy tonight because Murray may not even be active. If Gordon doesn’t fumble again it will probably be 60/40 split in his favor. The odds of this happening are zero. This information may be speculation but it’s coming from those who follow the team closely.

They obviously liked Gordon enough to bring him back. Four fumbles later he has worn his welcome out. I don’t think it’s a coincidence they brought in a guy who only has one fumble in his last 652 touches. Hackett hoped to run the ball a ton this year but now the plan has changed. Now he just wants a reliable runner who can pass protect and hold on to the ball.

That's a guy I want to target. I think it turns around. Baker has been a trash bag but at least Darnold can support a 1K WR. He's 25, didn't forget how to run fast did he?
Chance that Baker is benched soon has to be considered.
Darnold is still a ways away from being healthy enough to play
exactly, if Sam doesn't come back for a couple of weeks are people hoping for PJ Walker in the meantime? I didn't watch him in preseason but his stats aren't appealing...

Is it Cecil? - because if so the opposite is true.
No but I agree with you on this. I’ve never heard a person who claims to have as much insider information that he can’t share with the audience. you can play a drinking game every time he tells Bloom he’ll share with him off air. It’s pretty annoying IMO.

I listen to the DNVR and Locked on Broncos pod’s. I also watch some of the Bronco Youtube stuff. All my family lives in Denver so they here things as well.

He makes things up as well. Over the summer during a podcast previewing the Jets, he claimed he had "insider info" that Salah hated Zach Wilson and there was dissension between Joe Douglas and Salah because Salah wanted Flacco to start all season and Douglas wanted Wilson starting. Jets beat writers love to stir up **** so if that was even remotely true we'd know about it.

We now saw that it was complete BS because Salah had a perfect opportunity to stick with Flacco after a pretty good start to the season (including a miracle comeback win), but the team did not hesitate to put Wilson back out there as soon as he was healthy.

Sounds like you are plugged in locally, but still all seems like speculation outside anyone but the coaching staff.

Gus Edwards back at practice - and I think he will play a lot when active.
He may, although a lot depends on how his recovery is.

The other concern is that he doesn't have a lot of value in PPR leagues, and with their weaker defense, the game scripts for the Ravens thus far have largely not focused on grinding it out with a lead.

Of course it‘s speculation.

After picking up Brady on the waiver wire when he was an all time low it allowed me to drop Cousins to take a flyer on Pickens for free just now. What the heck - Cousins on the cusp and my faith in Brady is back up a little bit as he gets his stud WR's going. Be nicer if he had Gronk too.

Pickens gets low ratings going into week 5 - we shall see if his stock rises, falls, or stays the same. Staying the same is pretty darn good. K Pickett may throw a few picks, but still gonna sling it to open and players who achieve separation, like Pickens. He has real talent. Gotta feeling he's gonna Rise and end up being a solid WR #3 play.

Edit: He sits there in FA in another league but can't do it with C Samuel or G Wilson at this point.

Need a TE.

Tylor Conklin available and the targets are there, 29 through 4 games. Any baseless speculation on whether this continues?
Will Dissly catching TDs but small share of the targets, unsustainable production unless targets increase IMO.
Moe Allie Cox exploded last week but shares time with other TEs on the team and Pittman/Pierce should command lions share.

Think I'm going Conklin though I fear WRs will dominate targets.

It is SO SO ANNOYING, every podcast at least twice. Signed "Craft Beer Guy"

agree with all of this. Not local but I obsessively follow a couple blogs and stream 104.3 as much as I can.

The plan was always to split MeGo and Javonte. The coaching staff was very forgiving WRT giving players a chance to redeem themselves, but 4 fumbles in 4 games - you can't ignore that. The fans have turned on MeGo and there will be a lot of pressure to move on.

Worst case (for Murray): 40/60 split. most likely: 50/50 split. best case: 70/30 split (neglecting a token few carries from Boone). Of course, that doesn't apply for tonight. MeGo will be the feature back tonight and probably get 70+% of carries.

it will be really interesting to see the crowd's reaction to fan favorite, Phillip Lindsay, playing for the Colts.

ETA: Murray will be inactive tonight per Rapoport. link

I like Cox this week. Pittman to be covered by Surtain.

I bet you do

Edit: the above was completely meant as a joke

I dropped Engram for him -- also have Shultz, but likely to start Conklin.

I dropped my D to pick up Pickens, now I need to pick up a D

Who goes: Renfrow, J Reynolds, or DJ Moore?

Reynolds has been on fire, Renfrow injured, and Moore has been awful.

Whats the SP say?
