I started the season 0-3, then ripped off 7 straight, ended up 9-4 w/ a bye.

This is largely a waiver wire team. I was terrible last year, and we do W2F, so I got some decent picks when they emerged (Morris early, Moreno, Woodhead). Got reed and Brown early this year when I was terrible. Then it all clicked - J Reed was huge, K Allen became huge, Woodhead was invaluable for the middle of the season.

Devy league - will be adding B Sanky and S Watkins next year.

wow that's brutal. I guess you can't change things once you are already into a dynasty league like this because long-term contracts are affected but I'd be kind of disappointed in that kind of rule. guess it makes for some interesting decisions that are different than the typical fantasy league

I'm up 237 points going into the final week. Had the #1 pick and almost took Charles but settled on Peterson. Paired him with Brees. Funny thing is that we contemplated taking Foles with the last pick of the draft but took Gerhart instead. This team could have really blown up with Charles/Foles!!!

As it is, we are happy and fortunate to be taking home $9K for first! Now we need our $750 team to make up 37 points we fell behind this week for a sweep.

I drafted Martin, SJax, David Wilson, Vereen and Bryce Brown. I used Snelling, McGahee, Brandon Bolden and Helu among others. It was painful. I was constantly shopping Josh Gordon for High RB2 types (with Keenan Allen on the bench) but no dice. A dude wouldn't trade me Leveon Bell for him.

Yes, the owner who dropped Gordon is an idiot and I'm sure he feels great about it. I bet 25% of Gordon owners snatched him off waivers after an idiot dropped him.

As far as the Manning trade, you can't think in hindsight. He was selling high and buying low. If my team was 3-1 instead of 1-3 then I wouldn't have made that trade anyway. I sent him an offer of Brady, Martin, TY and J Cook and he countered with Brady, Martin (pre injury obv), Garcon and the KC D. We had communication issues and he sent another offer of just Brady, Martin and Garcon for Manning. I felt I could get Pierre Thomas out of him too but I didn't want to F it up so I clicked 'ACCEPT'. Everyone in the league felt I gave up too much! ha

I drafted Martin, SJax, David Wilson, Vereen and Bryce Brown. I used Snelling, McGahee, Brandon Bolden and Helu among others. It was painful. I was constantly shopping Josh Gordon for High RB2 types (with Keenan Allen on the bench) but no dice. A dude wouldn't trade me Leveon Bell for him.

Yes, the owner who dropped Gordon is an idiot and I'm sure he feels great about it. I bet 25% of Gordon owners snatched him off waivers after an idiot dropped him.

As far as the Manning trade, you can't think in hindsight. He was selling high and buying low. If my team was 3-1 instead of 1-3 then I wouldn't have made that trade anyway. I sent him an offer of Brady, Martin, TY and J Cook and he countered with Brady, Martin (pre injury obv), Garcon and the KC D. We had communication issues and he sent another offer of just Brady, Martin and Garcon for Manning. I felt I could get Pierre Thomas out of him too but I didn't want to F it up so I clicked 'ACCEPT'. Everyone in the league felt I gave up too much! ha

that would have seemed like highway robbery to me at the time. I think it was clear you were getting the far and away #1 fantasy player at the time (Manning was averaging 31.2 at the time while Brady looked like a replacement level QB (averaging 13.6), and Martin and Garcon were not looking like difference makers. the guy trading away Manning was probably losing 10-15 PPG at QB based on that trade

It's hard for you not to use hindsight. Don't forget this is 4 weeks in. Yes, Manning was far and away the #1 fantasy player but his PPG had nowhere to go but down. Brady was going to get Gronk back "any week now." and I wouldn't go so far as saying Martin and Garcon weren't looking like difference makers. Martin had a sluggish start but was the 2nd player taken in most drafts and Garcon was RG3's #1 by far. Even with the Skin's suckage, Garcon is 15th in WR points.

In hindsight, I raped the guy no doubt. That trade made me an instant contender.
